Learn Japanese with Yuta: bit.ly/48bfpUE
If Yuta says Oshi no Ko is good I guess I have to watch it.
Yuta, can I learn Japanese?
can you stream again?
Hey I was wondering if you could answer this question: When should I use textbook Japanese like げんき I would appreciate if you could help me with this but understand if you don’t answer
1. 推しの子 Oshi no Ko, My Favorite Idol
2. 僕の心のヤバイやつ Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, The Dangers in My Heart
3. 事情を知らない転校生がグイグイくる, Jijou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru, My Clueless First Friend
4. 山田くんとLv999の恋をする, Yamada kun to LV 999 no koi suru, My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999
You were missed. Thank's for coming back, Yuta
Thank you. It's nice to know that some people actually miss my videos :)
Welcome back Yuta! It's been a while since a video was last updated. Was wondering what was going on. Happy to see new content again@@ThatJapaneseManYuta
@@ThatJapaneseManYuta you gotta stream again. I wanna hear your take on Spy X Family and some other things
@@ThatJapaneseManYuta We love you Yuta
@ThatJapaneseManYy yuta, San,please come back, I just watched your website videos and came here to say thank you.but you are not posting videos from last 3 months .😢we lots of people truly love you, just show byour face, it's enough for us please Yuta さん I am crying now😢
Bro included 3 akanes (from the same season) and thought we wouldn't notice 💀
I didn’t notice until you pointed it out 😂😂
@@Daore05ELI5 please?
I love how you explain the sentences in the anime, personally I would watch alot of you doing this is your made it a series of some sort, would make it easy and fun to learn
Agreed, but it would be exhausting. This channel is great, and for learning things if you are a beginner like me, a good channel is ‘Japanictionary’.
@@JohnM... that you for the channel reccomendation, also i didnt mean something like a whole episode just interesting clips so it wouldnt be grueling
@@SunriseGirl Aah, right!! What would interest me most is the endings of sentences, like だった、だよ、ですね、だね, etc 🫤. Like - what is their meaning? What do they add to what is being said, etc?
@@JohnM... yeah, tho i know desu ne (dont have japanese keyboard) is used when your looking for agreement from thw other people, like stating a thing others will agree with i think but may be wrong, i just thing something like that would make learning more casual and easy
@@JohnM... だった is the past form for だ or basically the equivalent of でした. よ is kinda like an extra emphasis of what you just said and ね is kinda like saying "you know" at the end of what you just said like "I buy food at the convenience store, you know". (probably doesn't sound quite the same in Japanese as it does in English, but close enough, I guess)
This phenomenon of female shoujo protagonists being named Akane needs to be studied.
please do more of these japanese learning videos with anime, thank you
There’s a line in Oshi no Ko that taught me the word 稽古(けいこ), which basically means the kind of learning and practice similar to what an actor would do to improve his/her acting skill, kinda similar to 身につける or 腕を磨く
I just bought your course and it's really fun and easy to follow (although I need to focus more😅) and I was wondering when you were going to upload another video 😊. Thank you Yuta 🙌
ah, yes the triple akane recommendation
you should review 夜のクラゲは泳げない [ Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night ]
it's extremely good! it's slightly idol themed but that's not the main focus, it's just generally really good story, characters and animation and it's again from the same studio that made Oshi no Ko
I highly recommend it if you're looking for something fresh!
I know it's been quite some time since this anime aired but I'd love to see an episode of "How *insert character* speaks Japanese" on the characters from Summertime Render. Sounds like a very interesting accent/dialect.
This is crazy useful. Thank you! :)
It's been a while since the last video. Good content as always. 👌
I'm learning lots both from your channel and email group. You deserve more support!
Hello, Yuta. Are you planning on doing a video about the Hokkaido accent? Theres that new anime "Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi" (Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!) and I believe it'd be a great way to learn something new about Japanese accents
Your videos are very enjoyable, educative and super easy and fun to watch! Thank you very much!
3:56 yuta dont wanna say "im coming" he's trying his best and finally says it, or im just dirty minded🤣
ゆた先生ありがとうございます。
I want to say thank you for your channel. I just came back from Japan and I lived as much a dream as anyone could hope for. I am diving back into my studies! Thank you Yuta!
Yat'ta!
I started watching the Yamada one today. Very easy to follow the character's speech.
Finally, Yuta. It's been a while
This is a very beautiful selection of 2023 anime ! ☺👏🏻 I discover a range of interesting anime that treat mainly about the societal topics of the everyday life relationships, which is hence a great opportunity to learn lots of useful vocabularies and expressions for everyday life.
Thanks to your thorough analysis, I've got a rich summary of the grammar that I already know, which has allowed me to rather understand each grammatical point. Also, I've been amazed to discover the classification of the keigo language style for the first time of my life.
I always love this kind of content as you mix wonderfully well pleasure and education by offering us the possibility to learn Japanese through anime, which is personally a very efficient learning method. 😃
So basically watch any anime with a character called Akane. 😄 (Oshi no Ko has an Akane as well.)
I think I see you all the time riding your bike around 新大久保 but I never want to bother you haha. Thanks for your content! I just saw you again ten seconds ago
Cool. I watched Oshi no Ko, but I missed out on The Dangers In My Heart so I'll try watching it next summer.
surprised Ranma 1/2 was not recommended, as the female lead is also an "Akane"
Thanks yuta
i for the most part use nana cause you feel its a lot more grounded in real life scenarios. even if the main character speaks in a way more exsagarated way.
As a big fan of The Dangers in My Heart and slice of life rom coms in general, I'm pleasantly surprized you recommend it to your viewers, as well as My Clueless First Friend, and your explanations of example sentences is excellent!
One of the reasons I like BokuYabai so much is the way how the characters interact in Japanese, in most cases very naturally, with pauses inbetween to further emphasize the "read the room" aspect which is very important in everyday social interactions among japanese people.
I like the perverted classmate.
Hey Yuta! Is there any basic Japanese textbooks you recommend to study the language? You say most of them include phrases Japanese people would never say, and I wanna speak naturally 😅
When I learn a language I prefer to start with learning its grammar. Like when I build a puzzle I start with a frame of reference and slowly grow it into its intricacies.
When I've taught Swedish to immigrants they appreciate this structure of learning as well.

Yuta u enjoying life? Its been a while since a new vid. Hope all is well and that you continue to grow in 2024
Real life conversation and what we learn in textbook are totally different. This is not only Japanese but also other languages
Akane is heroine of the year 2023
lmao i've already seen all the anime of this list, they are soo good!
Dang, I've watched all of these. I guess that must mean I'm a Japanese wizard! 変身!I can understand a lot of Japanese words and phrases but I still need to work on kanji writing and recognition. Always something to work on.
So happy you're still makin gvideos please do street interviews again!!!!
Thinking of you during this hay-fever season!
Hi I have a question about your Japanese learning tool. So I got the first video and I watched it but how can I watch the other videos now? Also I am sorry for bad spelling english is not my first language.
How about the Japanese-dubbed version of Peppa Pig? I’ve watched it in many languages, and while it’s clearly aimed at children and uses simple language, I’ve always found it to be a good starter point, with realistic language. What do you think?
reminds me of a russian learning textbook where all conversations were about cement factory
Thank you bro but I already watched them all 😅
Is there any more??????
More anime to binge and learn with
Hey Yuta sensei I bought your course in 2020 I’ve been studying a lot I know grammar and how to read hiragana and katakana but am having trouble keeping kanji and vocabulary in my head any chance you could give some tips
I miss your content on anime like this, by the way did you noticed my conmment everytime i commented on your videos? My japanese is very basics, watching anime with English sub as an English learner.😂
I'd love to watch Jijyou wo Shiranai Tenkousei ga Guigui Kuru, but I can find no subs in Japanese. That makes it much harder to follow, or to actually look up whatever I don't understand yet
Eating ice cream, and watching this video to say goodbye to 2023 and hello to 2024 ❤
I’ve watched 推しの子 with subs this summer and it actually was quite hard. Definitely not an anime for intermediate level speakers.
The premise of 事情を転校生がグイグイくる sounds very similar to 君に届け. Is this a common trope or was it inspired by it? Maybe it’s just a coincidence.
I missed your videos
Yuta's were talking about those 3 female characters all sharing the same name
Also of interest is that Oshi no Ko has gained recognition as a critique of the idol industry and that one of its opening songs is by Yoasobi, the same that wrote 夜に駆ける(Racing into the Night), a song which topped singles charts for years and which Yuta has analyzed briefly in another video.
the yamada san one reminds me on itazura na kiss wich I realy enjpyed back in the days
My clueless first friend sounds a lot like an older anime Kimi no Todoke, which came in clutch in the earlier days when I couldn't understand any Japanese animes
This is great. I’m tired of only knowing just the word Nani 😂
I learned to speak by learning to write. I was told it would be hard to learn but it really isn't. It's just a lot to memorize compared to English. Anyways the books I have just teach the writing and the pronunciations of the alphabet in question. Like the hiragana book teaching you how to pronounce each one as well as the katakana. Then there is the kanji. The real difficulty to me is writing, dear god my terrible penmanship carries over to Japanese something fierce.
Is there any anime for Japanese on office or working place?
All of these look like somethign i would watch. What is a platform or a website to watch these on, with english and japanese subtitles at once? Theres not much on netflix, and netflix does not allow using 2 tyopes of subs at once, so im cluess, google doesnt help much either. thx
if I want to talk like a samurai what of type Japanese should I study ?
Yuta-san, how about anime The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses? Is this anime OK for anime fans to learn Japanese conversation?
Even if the translated dialogue is stilted, it does show that anime characters talk differently from real life Japanese people.
Looks like some good anime.
Love the vibe.
Been watching your channel since 2021...informative, educational and "subarashi". On your email group since 2023....keep up the great work!
What do you think of the new Shogun and Tokyo Vice tv shows? Hope all is well, you've been quiet for the past 4 months and we need our Japanese lessons with Yuta. :))
Konomi Kohara voiced Akane Nishimura while Inori Minase voiced Akane Kinoshita.
Been MIA
All four anime in the thumbnail from the same season and all four anime i watched
Volvé Yuta 😭
How come you have animes with Japanese subtitles and romaji? Where can i find that?
Does anyone know where to watch these anime with the english and japanese subtitles both on screen at the same time like this?
I'm wondering this too!
there's a chrome extension called language reactor that displays japanese and English subtitles at once!
Can I use berserk anime and manga to learn Japanese ? ^___*
Is Hyouka ok?
Guess you're Iwami Mamaka fan huh? Me too ❤
5:25 If koukanshinai is the negative form of "to exchange", why does the sentence mean he wants to exchange? Wouldn't the negative mean he doesn't want to exchange?
In japanese it's common to use the negative form to ask something from someone or invite someone. It would be like "wouldn't you trade your lunch with me?" in english, though the meaning of invitation isn't always clear or natural with this kind of structure in english (but in japanese it is)
The song "Sweet Home Chigago":
*Hi-de-hey
Baby don't you wanna go?
Back to that same old place
Sweet home Chicago*
ゆうたさん、さすがですね。いつも役に立つ動画を上げてくれてありがとうございます!
So I want to confirm any by Miyazaki is in actual Japanese.
Realy wanted to know about the Yasuke Ubisoft game
As an English speaker the way Japanese is set up seems so weird and interesting!
where is my man watching, i found a site where the subs were similar but now i cant find it anymore :c
BOKUYABA MENTIONED LETSGOO
Essentially, if you wanna learn Japanese through Anime, find a romcom that has a character named "Akane"
If Oshi no Ko has incest I'm gonna study Japanese so hard to understand all of the series as soon as possible
Great video, but your website is a maze to get to the actual course material and sign up.
where do i watch anime with japanese subtitles? i can pay up to 15 dollars a month
2:24
Clicked on the link and it straight to spam for some reason…just thought you might want to know….
Wait, the same voice actor?
yaku ni tatta dess ne.
Yutaの可愛い !❤❤❤
Bokuyaba best romcom

The robot at my body choose only worship the sun goddess named Amaterasu Omikami, he choose to be reincarnated into a Shinto family when he fell asleep again so he could enjoy good luck.
I’m amazed that there are some things in English grammar that Japanese people get really pissed at when you ask them. It’s like it doesn’t even exist in Japanese. Especially ‘which ones?’
Is this supposed to make me ask "which ones?" so you can get pissed?
@@mrkiky lol.
I don't know how to use email
The name is. Me
Americans sometimes end with- not ?
Canadians have a word like that too, eh ?
I was worried this one would be more of a clickbaitey one for the more casual people. Happy to be wrong😊.
I listen to Japanese Islamic nasheeds and zen buddhist chants. I want to learn to read the bible and Quran in Japanese ….so I guess I would need to learn older Japanese ?
I missed Part That Not My Problem
