- I took my CETME 7.62 NATO (308 Winchester) model 58 rifle to the range. There is a rifle match in a few weeks, for Foreign Service Rifles. I want to see if this rifle would provide me with the accuracy to enter the match, and not make me look like I suck at it.
Se ve que el hombre no está muy puesto con el CETME. Creo que estaba un poco asustado con el retroceso y la potencia de este arma.

This was the rifle that I had on my military service in Spain in 1986, I think this is one of the most reliable assault rifle, never got stuck while I were shooting

Great Spanish weapon the CETME. I did my military service with one of those in the year 80. Impressive its caliber 7.62 mm, go pepinazos that it beat and not like those of now of 5,56 mm, that seem a toy and do not kill nor a rabbit.

The german enginner only gave old design of SG44, the team of Spanish enginner until CETME C was 35
El 5.56 está pensado para atravesar blindajes personales, no como el 7.62 que tienes más fuerza cinética pero menos penetration, el 5,56 mata muy bien y es más ligero

joder yo en el cuartel estuve en un equipo de tiradores en la infanteria de marina y dispare muchisimas balas y era raro que se bloqueara como este .El cetme es muy fiable a larga distancia y corta y un arma muy buena ....estos fusiles los desarmabamos con los ojos cerrados y armabamos otra vez cada uno teniamos uno y lo cuidabamos como si no huviera otra cosa era obligado tenerlo a punto siempre....

La época del Cetme-C, 7'65x54, aquello era hacer fuego y no lo del video...después de que te salieran callos tirando durante 6 meses llegar a ser Patrullero, participar en la PATRULLA DE TIRO en la que tenias minuto y medio para hacer una carrera de 200 m. tirante en posición, montar y meter casi cuatro cargadores en una diana, que se veía como del tamaño de un céntimo, a 200 m. Era impresionante ver a toda la patrulla tirar a una velocidad superior a un tiro por segundo, se me eriza la piel...

Pues no, ni por asomo... ya veo que tu no has hecho la mili... te lo explico... con un Cetme-C de dotación, es decir que había pasado ya por varias manos antes, que había disparado ni se sabe la de cartuchos antes, para el que tu comprabas (como un extra maravilloso) aceite de maquina de coser para engrasarlo, al que le pintabas el alza o mira trasera con tipex para que destacara el punto de mira al fondo, con el que usabas ni mas ni menos que cartuchos de dotación (ni control de grains ni onzas ni leches) tirabas con lo que había, a veces incluso con cartuchos fabricados hacía 20 años... y así con todo... ¡¡¿MIRA TELESCOPICA?!!... amos hombre, eso es de mariquitas...pregunta a un legionario.
Ah! ... y con el que hacías instrucción militar, con lo que lo golpeabas de todas las formas, se te caía...
Una puntualización, mi patrulla no pasaba nunca del tercer puesto en mi zona, porque el que llegásemos a tirar casi cuatro cargadores no quiere decir que los metiéramos todos... eso si, la Legión que eran los primeros o el TEAR si que metían casi todo y no usaban mira telescópica....
Provis Pahoy ...es un fusil excepcional...fácil de hacer blanco a doscientos o mas metros con tiempo y las pulsaciones bajas...con mira telescópica ya es la ostia...perfecto para tirador distinguido...que no asignado..que ese es lo que se llama un francotirador..que usan un calibre más potente...pero como te digo un cetme -C ...con mira a quinientos metros..es víctima
yo estuve en un equipo de tiro en infanteria marina y dispare muchisimas balas ..estuve en competicion y teniamos que caminar por campos y luego llegar hacer corriendo unos docientos metros y cargando al mismo tiempo llegar y descargar los cargadores en un tiempo que creo revordar un 1.30 minutos mas o menos y hacertabamos muchisimos porque nos enceñaban bien y como poner la correa bien agarraday tenzada para que el retroceso no te quitara el ojebtivo de vista ..nosotros disparabamos a 200 metros sin mira telescopica que parece poco pero despues de caminar y correr no es tan facil ...que recuerdos de esta arma que la teniamos como oro de limpias...las teniamos trucadas en los muelles del gatillo para que fuera mas suave y rapida....saludos desde Canarias....
Hola. He tenido la suerte de haber hecho el servicio militar y disparar con él, muy bueno y muy fiable, el inconveniente era limpiar la recámara, un acceso muy complicado

La verdad que los CETME son muy buenos, especialmente el C, nunca se te atascaba ni le pasaba nada. En cambio a las HK les entra algo de polvo y se estropean
Lo he metido en charcos de barro y luego he tirado 3 cargadores seguidos sin problemas. No sé con que HK habrás tirado, pero desde luego a mi nunca me han dado ni un solo problema.
Menos el L todos fueron muy buenos sobre todo con diferencia el C

Mal empieza diciendo que es calibre NATO. 5,56 es NATO. Y no está muy ducho con el Chopo
Alucino con éste tirador, ni sabe manejar el selector de tiro y no apoya bien al hombro. El CETME se dispara en fijación de correa al brazo, es un 7,62x51, un pedazo de pepino que si pega en el hierro del blanco lo atraviesa como el queso, nada que ver con un kalashnicov
hola....Se ve que han enseñado como a mi ..yo estuve en un equipo de tiradores y la correa es muy importante de llevarla bien tenzada al cuerpo asi el cetme ni se movia .De cartucho a cartucho con tiempo esta arma era muy letal a muchos metros...

I learned the cetme is a great rifle but you basically can only fire military steel case rounds through it. The mass produced rounds sometimes aren't crimped the best and won't cycle just like 7.62 x39 rounds. Never fire brass casings through it or the extractor will rip the end of the casing leaving the rest of the casing lodged in the barrel.
Thanks for the review. Just a little tip, keep the trigger pressed for a 2 count after you fire (follow through). Letting off the trigger after you fire can effect the accuracy of the weapon.

I've never failed with the CETME C (the CETME L, LC or LV were bullshit because the spanish govern wanted them cheaper🤦🏼♂️). Of course I've only used CETME C in the Spanish Marines Boot Camp. Once I was in the Marines Brigade (Brigada de Infanteria de Marina) in the fucking September 2001, I only used the H&K G36E (E of EXPORT version, with a reticle 3x). After 2 deployments in Afganistan and just before I went to Irak in 2004, I joined to the UOE (as marine raiders, actually the FGNE) and became to use the G36C and G36 KVE.
The power of the CETME C is awesome but the G36 always will be more accurate.

Normalmente en rafaga cubres un area de fuego amplio, no buscas un blanco como tiro por tiro.
y el de todos los fusiles de asalto, la ráfaga es para limpiar trincheras. Con 80 cartuchos que llevas para todo el día ni se te ocurre utilizarlo como un subfusil. A no ser que te encante tirar piedras

I have heard there are some early CETME's that had issues, but that was many years ago. Century has figured out how to civilize the CETME now. Magazines can be had for less than $5 each.

Thanks for watching MT66. I really enjoy shooting this rifle, bought it on a whim, for about 1/2 the cost of a typical M1A 7.62. I would rate it at about 85% the equal of a M1A.
Shep, sounds like you have an endless supply of weapons in your possession. I have decided that if I don't shoot something often, maybe I should begin to shoot it or sell it and find something else to do with the money. Jesse, sounds like 7.62 ammo will not be a problem to get for you. I like the plan to have a rifle with more muscle than most tactical rifles. The CETME is not a real refined weapon, ( no last shot bolt hold open, awkward safety, basic sights) but is effective and less costly than most other choices in 7.62.

FC45LC, I had a FN in my hands one day, almost bought it. I believe the FN is pretty cool rifle, but this CETME was available at the right time. I do reload brass from this rifle, when I can find em. They are dirty from the fluted chamber, but mouth dents are not real bad. Just gotta hunt a long way from my shooting position.
First round fired proved not to shoot shitty, foreign milsurp ammunition.
Shot this great rifle along with many other fullbore semi-automatic rifles and Handguns as part of my trip to Jersey in our Channel Islands. British Jersey unlike it's founded U.S. State 'New Jersey' founded by a man originating from Jersey Island is far more gun accepting than the British mainland is. With Shooting being the most popular sport on the Island and 1/10 people owning a Firearm. Considering this is still Europe and you have to go through a licensing process. This is pretty good going as it's more hassle to get into than the majority of other sports. I look forward to shooting this sort of kit again and saying goodbye to mainland Britain!

Jon with no h Yeah it's great there. A very small island with a population of just 100,000, but I enjoyed myself very much. Fingers crossed I am waiting on a job offer which could mean I am over there for the majority of 2014 in a few months. Sadly the majority of Brits are anti gun. Sad to say the majority of my nation are against private ownership of Firearms. There are still those of us however using Jersey as an example who are completely for gun ownership. We would love to see the States beat down the anti's as we have failed to do ourselves. Keep up the good fight! No worries at all. I am happy to comment. Keep up your good standard of shooting content also!

I just found out a local range my way has surplus military class rifle comps every first Saturday of the month. My cetme is really accurate, but them again so is my M91/30 dialed in using the SMKs.

Jon - nice rifle and video - I got the M1A because the G3 chewed up brass (it wasn't made for reloaders - of course no military rifle was, but the G3 roller action did mess up the brass). M14, FN-FAL, G3 all were in that era of Nato "cooperation".

I saw the other day Budsgunshop has some Cetmes for $560 for that cheap think I might need to buy one. I have been wanting something a little more stout then the 5.56 and 7.62x39 I already have in ARs and AKs but 6.8 and some of the other calibers are just so expensive and hard to come by. I can get tons of .308 around the Walmart by my parents seriously had at least 3000 rounds of it the other day and I have a buddy with a couple 50 cal cans full of surplus he offered to sell me before.
It only works for big guys.

Yeah that is kinda why I wanted it wouldn't cost me so much to get into a 7.62 platform. $560 seems like a hell of a deal its a Century build but that seems really cheap. I almost got the M&P10 the other day had it for $1150 and they had base model DPMS .308 rifles for $950 I think they were. I have a dealer that I got a bunch of FDE and OD pmags from recently at shows that had cases of the .308 Pmags and some DPMS ones so the mags wouldn't be hard for those either.

I have seen tons of ammo marketed as Colt lately too. I have been seeing zinc coated steel cased marked as Colt i think is probably MFS for $10.50 a box too cheap enough to just blast through too. I have never seen so much .308 in a Walmart before they had 2 full shelves and 4 more full boxes of it the guy showed me all 40 packs of Rem. They had lots of Rem i got some in 9mm, .22wmr, .45acp all Rem. They let me buy more then 3 boxes at a time too let me get 6.
