Day 9 | Camino Portuguese | O Porriño to Redondela | March 26, 2024

Day 9 of the Camino Portuguese was cold and rainy...The first of many to come unfortunately. We started our day in O Porriño walking primarily on roads to Redondela. There were a few segments that were pleasant; however, the rain really did put a 'damper' on the day. We saw lots of pilgrims today, many of who started in Tui. The best views of the day came at the top of the steep downhill and they were beautiful!
We walked 10.4 miles (16.74 km) today over a 6 hour period. Tonight's accommodations were at A Boa Estrela. We had a nice room with a great view.

We walked in March, I have never been so wet/cold ( in Galicia)

We agree!!!! March was not our favorite month to walk through Galicia! We are sticking with September Caminos from now on.

I did, but not until I reached Santiago after we finished with the Camino.
