Hello. I am from Vigo. Nice video. Yellow arrows usually is for easy walks at the mountain. I am preparing my walk througt Camiño de Santiago in some days. Thank you for green arrows advice.
Hi ICP 👋🏼. Welcome to the channel ❤️. We felt kind of bad for Vigo, not because there was anything wrong with IT of course, but WE were not ready for it. We were so tired when we got there, and then it was up, up, up to get to the hotel. We thought we were a goner 😵😂. Plus it’s a big city and after coming from days and days of quiet country into the hustle and bustle of a vibrant city again, it was quite the shock. Oh yeah, keep an eye on the arrows, but also get the Camino Ninja app and just occasionally check. You will have such an amazing time. Enjoy every moment. If you get the chance to do the Espiritual Route, do. It was utterly stunning. You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. Bom Camino and let us know how you get on 👍🏼🐌❤️
So relieved that the Great Pantspocalypse has been survived! Also I continue to be struck by the amount of public sculpture both in Portugal and now Spain! Weird about the random yellow arrows on the greenway. I am surprised one of the apps doesn’t have a feature that would trigger haptics on your smart watch if you strayed x feet off the camino. That’s what I would need!
Now THAT would be handy NCsM. You’d be fine, if a Chonky can do it, anyone can 😂 Yeah, there are a LOT of sculptures and art dotted around, we love it. Back down to 1 pair of pants for Keith I’m afraid. However, the shorts are working out well, and no accidents from people being blinded from his white legs yet 😂😂
First comment! The first few seconds with the bakery bits made the food voyeur in me happy! Everything looked so delish. I'm liking your slower pace - you can enjoy the way more. Every "how to" camino vid that I've watched has said that "it's YOUR camino." Do it at your own pace & style, whether you go fast or slow, whether you send your bags by taxi service or if you take a bus or train for parts of the way. Btw, another question for your Q&A: do you plan to walk another camino? The Ingles route is short - one week or so. The Norte has great scenes & is more physically challenging than the Frances, I think. I've seen "Walk by Efren" - I think you recommended him. He's a legend! Great vids & drone footage, superb storytelling and does ~25 km/ day! Take care & safe travels!
lol believe it or not Kitty, we now use you as a warning if we realize we’ve nommed everything and not filmed, or say, “you’d better film that or Kitty won’t be happy” 😂 You’ve become part of the Chonky routine. Absolutely! Really and honestly cannot agree more. It’s YOUR Camino. Speed, style, accommodation etc, it’s whatever makes it enjoyable and possible for you, and ignore anyone else. And some more good questions that we will add to the Q&A video 😉👍🏼❤️ Yup, Efren is the granddaddy of our Camino. A beautiful film maker, a real pro. We love him.
@@ChonkyTrundlersOne of the reasons that I like Efren is because he also shows his food! 😂 He also gives a breakdown of his costs for the day, so it's helpful for anyone planning to do it (factoring inflation). The vids I've seen, his average is €30 to €35 per day, since he usually stays in albergues. Cheers and take care!
You are doing fantastic!!! Another amazing breakfast 😊. And the poncho look like they worked out great. I remember driving past Vigo and seeing the pilgrims on the Camino.
Thank you MWLC ❤️ Yeah, we don’t skimp at breakfast time, Keith especially 😂. We love it when cars occasionally park their horns and wave, gives a great boost.
I like your video about Camino Portuguese. It is amazing, and thank you for posting! In this video, after the shop that sells ham and sandwiches, you showed a Camino marker of 102.2 KM (at 2:33 time). Would you mind sharing where exactly the location is in Vigo (what street/intersection/area)? I really appreciate it.
Hi Ralph, we were trying to send you a screenshot but for some reason YT doesn’t seem to have a way. If you contact us via messenger on FB we can send that to you. Or failing that it is in a little park on Rua Do Areal, directly opposite a little garage called Parada Monbus Areal. If you search for the garage on Google Maps you should find the exact spot. Or contact us on Facebook messenger and we will send you the screenshot 👍🏼 Are you on the Camino or planning to?
Sorry you don’t like the music Ren. We did look at music/no music, but we opted for the former. Actually there are people who walk the Camino with headphones on, listening to music or podcasts, which is totally cool of course, it’s their Camino and whatever works best for them is the right thing to do. Personally we either walk in silence, or more likely chat as we walk. Some days are quiet, some (especially next to rivers for a whole day) can be incredibly loud. All part of the experience that we end up sharing together, but dealing with individually 👍🏼

Thanks for advice on green arrows.
You can do away with that music, it detracts from the beauty of the walk and your walk…
