I love how you defined unity post-processing as a style, pure genius.
This game looks awesome! really cool work!
Thanks, some of your videos were the inspiration :)

You really have a feel for making something look awesome and just as a big game studio.
how the fuck does this only have 500 views this was so fun to watch
i would also vouch for a tutorial on how you get such good looking particles
The master is back!🤩😁👏🏻
I'm an animator and have been for a year and a half so when I saw this vid I got hyped on what to learn
I've never felt more un-skilled than when I see how hauntingly beautiful your games are..
The video is awesome and so well edited, love your style
This is so awesome! I love how you made it look so easy to create such a nice atmosphere in the game. Looking forward to more devlogs!
I look forward to following the progress, great job so far on both the game and video :)
Amazing dev log experience mate!
You are such a visionary. Amazing ideas, as always.
The way your explaining your entire process is just amazing! I had a lot of fun watching!
Wow, stunning like all your project.
Wow! This game looks just amazing. Man you have a way of portraying your game which is a skill in itself. I really love procedural animation they look kool and saves lot of time for us programmers when it comes to animation. Also the character models and the game world looks super kool. Really am liking the idea of the game so far. Keep it up! :)
you did this in 2.5 months! I couldn't do that in a year! Great job, the style, effects and the game overall looks and feels amazing!
Just suscribed
Wow this is only 2.5 months of work, very inspiring
you popped my devlog-cherry...and pleasure was immense XD. Great job with the project. I wish you success :)
This looks fantastic 👏
this channel is underrated
This looks like an incredible game with lots of potential! I have subscribed to ur channel sir!
This looks amazing bro. U got a subscriber. 😀👍🏻
This is fantastic, just incredible!
oh yeah this gonna blow up
Man, you are so amazing!
bro u are hilarious , u deserve more subs
you definitely deserve way more subscibers!
I think using the spider like animations, doing some kind of scenario where you play a micro-spider bot that's objective is to reach and hack certain machines/tech would work nicely. Kind of like a platformer/puzzle/stealth game
Have the different forms be different colours and have the bombs change colours with the forms, will add more variety and interest. Could have ground types also affect the player in some way. The game already is an amazing concept, great job! Can’t wait to see how it progresses.
Crazy. You're a lot smarter than I originally gave you credit for.
Super cool project :)
BRO that the game looks so COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great work and also, you've got a cool accent, sir!
Happy New Year!
Awesome.
Amazing
Si cool!
You're so funny, I like your videos a lot
Just walking around with that spider character seems fun 😃
i died from laughing watching this video, your jokes crack me up
This person is amazing, you could make little courses or something
cool game MAKE MORE DEVLOGS!! i like it:)
The game in a way almost looks a bit like Deep Rock Galactic in style and color, both of which I love to pieces. It has a distinct sci-fi feel to it that takes me back to when I was a little kid..
To that end I'm glad I've found this channel and I'd like to offer up services as a voice actor/entertainer (2+ years experience) to help bring anything you need to life. I've played Metroid Dredd recently and lemme tell you, their voices (the damn AI voices) were so god damn bad compared to what I could do.. Mate if you need the actor, let me have a shot at it and I'll help bring this baby to life.
Plus you get someone who wouldn't shut up about marketing this bad boy so, double whammy.
All the love!
Hey, I'm a game dev uni student too and I'm really astounded by the quality of the work you can do on your own! I just had a few ideas during the video that I thought might help you keep the game's production scope in check 😅
1. Depending on how robust the code is, you could totally reuse the player's procedural animation on a big NPC, without having to worry about pathfinding. You could have a puzzle revolving around a big moving environment element (that being the NPC) with a fixed movement path instead of pathfinding, but put some shrapnel/other environmental stuff along its way to show off how its limbs navigate over all that. Perhaps the objective could be to knock off its legs with bombs, and you can show off how it animates differently depending on the number of limbs it has (codeer did a similar thing in their Devlog number 0).
2. When you mentioned implementing fast travel, I figured you could reuse that electronic wire asset and have the player shrink into a wire that quickly zaps them between areas, since your protagonist is like an energy ball - maybe there's more you can do with that.
Very cool my friend bombs are cool
It is fucking amazing
Gru is it you ???? im your little yellow apprentice ^^... great content, great work !
yeeah
since you want to have the player able to walk on a big enemy or creatur, maybe that could be some sort of creature that lives on this living planet like micro organisms on humans
nice vid cool and nice looking game
cool game man
Amazing! tutorial on the character controller would be cool.
suggestion for Ascendum try to make a way where people from different computers can play with each other like online friend by making servers
The leg animarions looks great, maybe make a tutorial about it?
how this dude only have 2.7k subs wtf
Looks great. Might get a better mark if you do implement some pathfinding though as it is more code based. Do you have the option of talking to your prof about that getting their opinion. I know its not easy to use an unconventional navigation system. Were in the midst of making a 3d underwater game and navmeshs will only work on the sea floor and not in the water. So we looked at making a 3d vector field navigation system.
Looking forward to all the rest of this awesome looking game
gangplank barrels
yes
How the fuck did you create a game that looks tripple A with a couple of unity visual effects.
Great project! I think its funny bc you sound kind of like Gru from Despicable Me XD
1:29 bahahahaha
very amazing video, you sound like gru
Parkoor👌😂
23rd of february? Welp, hope you got a good mark lmao
Hey! That is amazing. Have you thinked of adding some story in the game?
Some basic story yes, but i have to see how much time i will have for everything. It might happen that if i feel really inspired, i just continue working on the game past the university until i add everything that i want, but we will see.
@@TheCaecus1 If you would like I can help you with something. The UI. Im not a professional but I can design good ui in unity. If you are interested please respond
just out of curiosity, did your college course for game dev start from 0 for people with no programming experience or was it made for people with past knowledge
Hi was your deadline 10 week for 300 hour of coding? Can I ask how do you track it? And thaks for the devlog, Its awessom all around, topic, showcase, editing and style!
Its around 4 months for a project with 300h of programming and then also 300h of written Bachelor Thesis. There is no accurate way of tracking the time but you kinda have to write how much you worked every day and you can tell at the end if the project was simple or not, or thats how i understood it xd.
@@TheCaecus1 Thank you for helping! Im trying to figure out what is a reasonable time frame for devloping procedural animation. It can get quit stressful not knowing, if Im slow to figur out things, or its simply takes that long. I started the 300 h project. Im realy curious how far its possible to push it.
Cant wait to see what you make and elvolve next!
You inspire me to become a game dev but i don't have time because of school and I'm young and my parents hardly give me time so i don't know if i should pursue my dream or just forget about it. I don't know what to do...
Dude, awesome work! Honestly, a really good looking game but can I give you my opinion on something? Towards the last part of the video around 11:22 after inserting the key it seemed strange to me how the platform just appeared from the ground, with the idea of the whole game being organic/ an organism, wouldn't it be cool to make the new platforms grow out of particular ones? That's just my opinion tho :D, amazing work, keep it up!
Are there fighting games out there where the players are not all of equal size and that has an influence on the game? Like a combination of Super Smash Bros, Titanfall and shadow of the colossus. I'm completely not into fighting games, but if it is balanced nicely, then it's probably pretty fun to play.
"You cannot see garbage, if you cannot see clearly" XD I will declare that the best quote of the year. But there were generally a few funny lines in that video.
Also how are you from Austria and sound Russian or something like this. I 'm from Switzerland and I assumed I should recognize the accent of my neighbor.
I think the only game that was kinda inspiration was shadow of the colossus, but i guess only the part where you climb an enemy. The actual inspiration for this were the Lego toys called Bionicle xd
I am originally from Serbia but i live in Austria now :)
@@TheCaecus1
Interesting inspiration. I think I once had a thing similar to Bionicles. Mine could play something like hockey. But I never could into them.
That makes sense. Welcome to the German speaking part of the world. :)
you should make a discord server it will be really cool
Yep that's going to happen soon i hope :)
Ever thought of streaming?
Yeah, but for that i need more time, new computer and better internet connection xd
@The Caecus are you from Balkan?
Yep, from Serbia :)
E baš mi je drago da ima i naših koji se bave unity i snimaju za youtube. Jel postoji neki način da te kontaktiram putem emaila / twittera? Imam par pitanja :)
