Just wanted to give a general update down here. The upload gap was due to me having a very, very stressful 2020. I moved 4 times, went through a lot of personal trauma, and so I needed a lot of time to get my bearings in order again. This video isn't a culmination of the last 7 months, it's a relatively light video I made in a short duration and i'm aiming to upload more routinely without worrying about 1-upping myself each time. I don't wish to go into detail on what exactly knocked me off my horse, just know i'm doing much better now- I'm talking to a therapist regularly, i'm eating well and socializing more than I used to, and i'm not as deeply entrenched in negative thought patterns anymore. Thank you for those who continue to follow/support me over the years, I know i've gone through lots of different 'phases' of content and activity and i'd like to continue growing and posting rather than being the type to disappear without any notice.
Chao Resort Island if you want a fan-made stand-alone Chao Garden. I personally think it's not as good as the adventure games because what made Chao Garden fun for me, was that it was a stop from all of the action of the Sonic Levels, and a reward for collecting shit in those. The fan game is just the chaos and it gets a tad boring, but that's just my opinion...on the flip side, there are more mini-games for the chaos to play, so there's that.
I can't wait for someone to make a minigame collection where you can unlock an entire 40-hour feature length videogame with an entire plot and fleshed-out combat system.
The Yakuza Series as a whole is Masterclass in balancing the goofy side activities with hard hitting serious mobster drama plots. Hell in Yakuza 6, Kiryu has lived such an insane life with such crazy characters that there's a Bar Minigame where Kiryu has to make normal conversation and learn how to be a civilian and make normal friends. It's actually riveting, I swear. The same with his short Taxi Driving career in Yakuza 5. You just drive people to their location but have to make small talk or avoid traffic, and again, absolutely riveting minigames. Half the time you spend in this series isn't even gang related, it's just Kiryu hitting the town and having a good time.
The nightmare sequence was also in the base Metal Gear Solid 3. If I remember correctly, when you were in the prison cell you had to save while lying down on the bed. Then restart the game. When you load up your save, it would start the demo. You would know if it worked as well if you checked your save file icon on the memory card, it would have unique red flowers next to the gun rather than the standard white flowers for the save icon. Very cool, subtle details that blew me away back then.
6:55 ya know before fallout 4 released i remember seeing a bunch of people who said they'll mod in more mini games, six years later I've yet to see mini game mods for fallout 4.
lol same it's just that everyone says "oh cool, minigames! I'll grab them and play with them later!" 40 hours later players either quit the game to never play again or love it and do everything BUT play the minigames lol
it's because bethesda in their infinite wisdom made the games in an engine that is even more dead than the one they use for TES and fallout games : fucking flash...
@@neorevolutionnar for the last time the Frontier proved two things: that story modders are sex offenders and that it is entirely Bethesda’s fault that their games are buggy nigh-unplayable trash, not the engine.
