The chemistry between Pattinson and Kravitz was one of the highlights of this film.
Agree. They were like two stray streetanimals bonding. :)
I love how Pattinson portrayed an emotionally torn Bruce Wayne. You could really tell he was infatuated with Selina with the way he looked at her.
the physics between penguin and Batman was also the main highlight
It really was beautiful to see. I also MUCH preferred Kravitz as Catwoman over Hathaway. By a long shot 🐈⬛ 🙌
Among many others
i love how much of a detective batman is in this movie, honestly the best version we have seen
He's acting like one, but his actions are at certain points insanely self-incriminating.
@@Angyali I guess that's why he's mostly motivated by vengeance in the movie. He's not yet fully become the heroic caped crusader who protects the innocent and saves lives.
We live in a society where batman the best detective, never had a movie focused on being a detective
@@Angyali batman himself is already a vigilante and breaking the law so that doesn't even matter
Facts
I love how quickly Selina is able to turn on her "ditzy flirt" persona in front of Colson, and how quickly she drops the act as soon as she stops talking to him
And props to Kravitz, it's not easy to act like someone who's acting
Tropic Thunder joke intensifies
Yes, the first time I watched it I thought Zoë acting in this scene not so smooth,. But the 2nd time i understand that she is acting as someone who is forced to act to get information. Need to pay attention to details to really see how good this movie is.

Nope. Already forgotten. Even BvS is more memorable
@@M_H_HKeep coping Snyderbot
Very underrated scene honestly.
Love how this is a kind of experience for Bruce, putting him in the shoes of Selina, seeing what being a woman in this city, in this club is like. People looking at you like an object and seeing terrible things happening in this club, while you can't do a thing about it, with the corruption ect, like everyone seems like the worst in this place💀
Love it!
Honestly it never seemed to me for an instant like he was even remotely considering from that angle. This is a version of Batman that is hyper-focused on this mission to fight crime, and he's concerned about literally _nothing_ else. Even his own personal fortune, Alfred warns him, is evaporating from his neglect of his company, and he doesn't care at all. He's a recluse who comes out only at night to fight crime as the Batman. I'm sure he noticed the drug use in the club, and the corruption, with city councilmen and half the DA's office in there. But people coming onto Selina... I don't think it was even on his radar -- except insofar as it could be useful to him, to have her get close to the DA and wheedle information out of him.
@@Hibernicus1968 he literally says "those guys have a little problem with eye contact don't they?"
And Matt Reeves himself the director and writer of this movie said that this was his idea when writing the scene, the idea that Batman would see what it's like to be a woman in this club and in the city.
@@Flo.2005. Oh I don't mean that he completely failed to notice the details like that; just that he probably didn't even consider it from a "hey, so that's what it's like to be a woman" perspective. I don't think that's something that would have been important to him. His mind being preoccupied with the mission, and with making IDs of these people, I think he was focused on that mission, and not having a feminist epiphany.
@@Hibernicus1968 Right I don't think it have a feminist purpose in that. It's almost common in real life that people look at women like that...kind of shame... Batman is focused and is certainly aware of that and use the seductress look of Selina on purpose. He knew she gonna catch those eyes and informations as well.
There is a lot of voyeur moments in this movie
You can tell Battinson was so heartbroken thinking Selina having a deep connection to Falcone. Repeating the same ending clip here over and over and over felt so realisitic that an emo/angsty pesron would do.

I adored the crime thriller angle that they went with for this movie, it felt so good seeing Batman finally doing detective work in a live action film. I hope they do a similar take with Hush in the sequel.
The problem with Hush is that he is a little too similar to how Riddler was used in this movie.
@@trueblue6201 Ik what you mean but I’m confident that Matt Reeves would find a way to make him work without it being repetitive. Maybe have him share the title of main villain with someone like Mr Freeze or Scarecrow.
@@trueblue6201 i was too sure that the villain of this movie will be an amalgam of riddler and hush
and once riddler post the truth about bruces parent and that dead journalist, i was sure that journalist will turn out to be riddlers parent or something.
with that way we could make some sense into how riddler know so much about dirty cops, corrupted dea and falcone's being a rat. or why this petty resentment towards against bruce
@@barisbal7782 I mean in Hush's introduction comic Riddler basically was Hush. He plotted the plan, provided training for Elliot, hired Scarecrow to make psychological profiles to better manipulate the others, and had the knowledge of Bruce's secret. Elliot just provided the money and wore the costume for the final scene. Which is part of the reason I didn't mind that they had Riddler just completely take over the role of Hush in the animated adaption.
@@trueblue6201 so? it furthers my points. a missed opportunity to make a perfect amalgam character for the movie.
Quite an underrated scene. Loved their dynamic here and how much they were using each other. Cinematography is also excellent.
2:55 possibly my favorite shot in the film.
Penguin and Falcone never really looked threatening, but them being in the fog of their HQ made them seem so.
I seriously love how at 1:20 Selina is talking to the DA and Batman at the same time.
man was so worked up at the possibility of falcone being something more for selina only for him to be her father lmaoooo
He was so jealous already lol
The acting alone in this movie is so much better than other movies in the mcu. The characters in this movie just feel natural.
Catwoman acts nothing like she does in Endgame.

I loved how jealous he got after Falcone touched her.
One scene. Just one. No action in it and still immersive.
Indeed Battinson is My Batman 🖤
One thing in particular about this scene was the part when we get introduced to Carmine Falcone, we don't see much but the way he approaches to Selina gives you a creepy and menacing vibe. Especially when he says "Don't be a stranger", sounds gentle but at the same time deadly.
Exactly, specially with that long serious eye contact.
Their chemistry was INSANE
the shady and slightly blurred out visuals when she enters the bar add additional tension and suspense in the scene, making the viewer have an even greater feeling that these characters shouldn't be there. Awesome scene
With the eye contacts be like almost the only sci fi tech Pattinson gets in the movie, but it’s perfect the movie shows a very more detective side of Batman like it’s almost a live action adaptation of Batman the animated series. And let’s not help ourselves of how badass Pattinson’s voice as Batman sounds when he is having a serious conversation with Selina.
You'll notice some things are slightly higher tech and I think because he says Oct 31 is a Thursday means it's either 2024 or more likely set in 2030. Pretty cool detail!

i really loved their duo in this movie.
I'm guessing after Gil Colson's departure, Harvey Dent will take his place
I'm guessing that too.
Must have been part of the good half of the da office
@@joshuarosen4439 That's something I hope they explore in the next film. Because this film, Matt Reeves, stated that: "the Batman isn't just an origin story for Batman. It's an origin for the rogues as well." And since this film is based off of the Long Halloween, they might have to rework how to bring in Harvey Dent because Harvey Dent got scarred by Maroni during the events of the Long Halloween. Also, Maroni's in jail so..
Until he becomes two face.
John Turturro nails it as Falcone! Great casting choice
The subtle disgust on Batman's face while identifying the DA and half of his office.
This was one of the best scenes in the movie, it showcased the complicated partnership/relationship between Batman & Catwoman IMO
John Turturro as Falcone is low key super creepy.
“Don’t be a stranger”
Masterpiece of a film.
Not really in my opinion, it's 8/10 for me

@@astraverse2640 I agree
It’s not better than the TDK. Has a case against all other movies though
It is actuall the best comic book movi
I don’t think this will happen in the later movies but I’ve had an interesting thought
In this movie, Batman is Vengeance. In the second movie, he is the Night. In the third movie, he’s The Batman.
I’ve had a similar thought, that would be an interesting way of tying the movies together, with him saying he’s the Night/Batman at the beginning of the second/third movies respectively, then if they make a fourth, at the climax or end of it he could say the full line “I am Vengeance, I am the Night, I am BATMAN!”
I think the idea is dumb imo, why would he be the Night in the second movie?
@@GhostOfMuaddib cause he’s the only hope people in Gotham have in the dark of the night or something. Or maybe in an opening scene we overhear crooks plotting a robbery saying stuff to the effect of “the dark in the night will hide us, we should be able to sneak in and out”, then Batman comes in, beats them up, then says “I’m the night”. Just an idea, I don’t think they’d actually do it.
@@kaiserreichempireofohio834 Nah that’s just a cheap rip-off of “I am the shadows”. You have two ideas here, one of your ideas is that he is the hope for people in the night and then the other is that he is the night, so no one can hide from him which is just a cheap rip off of the “I am the shadows” segment in the film, which one is it?
@@GhostOfMuaddib Both are just suggestions to make the OP work in a film, although yeah maybe they do conflict put together. Maybe the scene instead could show up family walking through an allyway with a group of thugs pulling up with their leader saying something like "better hand over your things, the nights masking our every move here", then Batman comes in, beats down the thugs and says the thing, before making sure the family is safe and taking off. Again just an idea, they probably won't do it it just fun to think about.
