Anything else would probably be more mission critical and just acquiring the right tools cannot be ignored. If money is the problem, and damage is the goal: a heavy hammer and cold chisel can get you into all sorts of stuff for dirt cheap.
Not necessarily trying to save the bearing, but the shaft. It wouldn't work for most of the bearings I pull. 2 &15/16 inch up to 6-inch shafts. The homemade puller would be heavier and more bulky than a bearing puller is.
I think you have awesome skills and vision, thank you for sharing them. Wwe may need this library of problem solving called UA-cam, when civilization melts down and Habor Freight isnt able to supply Chinese bearing/gear pullers for $6.99. Skills like yours, will be in demand again. Renascence Man !
Excellent trick, easy and quick to do and with materials that are easy to find or adapt. This trick gets you out of trouble if you don't have how to do it.

Sometimes they've even pulled the bearing for me (but I maybe cuter than you). But this is a great build if you need something different or the store is too far away and you can weld something sooner! 💕🌞🌵😷

@@noeaguinaga4018 How about knowing something on the subject of bearing install/removal tools??? Most pressed on bearings can't be removed with regular hand strength and movement. They need impact devices to act like hammers because the part is usually froze and or rusty.

идея хорошая , но гайка вверху с крупной резьбой не надолго . Резьба быстро сорвётся ,если попадется плотно сидящий подшипник😊
Да. Всё верно вы сказали. Там нужно было использовать трапецеидальную или упорную резьбу, а вместо этого там обычная метрическая.

Решение проблемы - накрутил гайку сверху, гайку снизу, обварил три в одном в одно целое. И усё. @@АртёмШарук-ф5ы
Можно взять удлиненную гайку или сварить 3-4 вместе.
