Adam you need to hire a marketing specialist like that Gavin Hardcastle to help you sell your new book. You can flood your videos as well as other people’s with book plugs like his “Chasing Awe” masterpiece. 😂
I can't afford Gavin
@@QuietLightPhotohe may do it for (quite) a few chocolate bars 😀
@@QuietLightPhotobollocks... He'd do it for a Twirl. He's cheap AF
Throw this in your gas tank for your next adventure. Also thanks for teaching us the ways. Your videos have helped me improve my photography immensely.
Wow, thank you! That is very generous. I appreciate the feedback. You've made my day, thanks!
How do you go about creating such photo book? Do you just use Lightroom's built-in book panel or a more specialized software?
I use Adobe InDesign
I'm hoping to be in Nanaimo this summer. I tried a couple years ago to do a drive by and grab your other book :) . If the timing works, I'd like to buy both this time.
Happy to oblige, keep me updated😁
Adam, given the high cost of postage to Australia and pretty well anywhere, would you consider an E- Book version of your "Land and Light" book? Gavin brought out an E-book version of his "Awesome" book and while not the same experience as a real book, it is still worthwhile. Our Dollar is also not too good against the USD either. I think the F4 Roadtrip cost me $300AUD and that was just the videos without the editing.
Yes but it will have to wait otherwise no one will purchase the book and I'll be stuck with hundreds of books
@@QuietLightPhoto Yes, of course. On a different topic, I have been trying to find one of Gavin's old videos where he accuses you and Paul of vlogging each other. Do you remember what it is called?
If Canada’s post is expensive, then Australia must be a close 2nd. Just bought your Quiet Light book, as can‘t afford Land & Light yet. Stg30pounds for postage, with tracker, around AUD$60. Costs pretty much the same for anything to come from overseas since Covid, but it‘s worth it as it looks superb! Look forward to it arriving.😊 Funnily enough, it was half the cost before Covid!
Best of luck with this sale! I’m excited to see more.
Haha, Billy Idol, that’s hilarious! 😂 Sounds like a fabulous book. Excited to get my copy!
This looks like an amazing book, unfortunately 50 euros shipping to Germany is too much for me. Hopefully, it’ll be more accessible when it’s available on Kozu books…
Hi Adam. I like your photographs and teaching! Never thought about an ebook version? That would eliminate expensive shipping and custom fees! And it would also pay the printing costs of the book :-)
Having bought Quiet Light last year I’m excited to order Land & Light today! Congratulations for what I think will bring a superb summer present :) Keep it up! :)
Awesome! Thank you!
sorry adam i couldnt find the book aspen in your website. I would also like to notify you that the page to order the Antarctica book is no longer available and wonder if its because the book is sold out?
love to see your other film photos as well, this book looks to be really special. (and hope to get quiet light later after as well)
Working on it! Thanks for the heads up
I ordered mine, Adam!!
Awesome thank you Bill!👍
Looks like a beautiful book... 🙂 Love your description of your first Iceland adventure 🙂
Thanks so much! 😊
Best of luck with the book! I'm looking forward to the images and reading the stories behind them. Cheers!
Thanks, Chris, I really appreciate your continued support.
Thanks for the sneak peek! Well, shipping from Canada to the US and vice versa isn't cheap either. One wouldn't think it would be but it is.
It's cheaper for me to send parcels to Florida than Eastern Canada go figure
@@QuietLightPhoto A friend of mine who lives in Canada won a camera strap from a US based company. Because of having to pay the shipping he decided to give it to me and have it shipped directly to me. He lives in Western Canada and the company is based in Washington. You wouldn't think that would be a problem but it was. Well, I got a free strap out of it, lol.
Hello Adam, I would like to buy a book, but unfortunately I can't find a Czech republic like arrive destination. But neighboring states Poland, Slovakia, Germany and Austria are available. Is it any mistake or it is not possible to send book to Czech republic? Thank you for your answer. Milan
Ok thanks ill have to sort it out at my end. Appologies for that. Perhaps try again in a day or so as I am just about to board a plane
Okay, it should show up now. Let me know if you have any problems, thank you!

Beautiful work.
I really hope you can figure out the logistics of a more affordable shipping to Europe. I have "Quiet Light" and "Aspen" and I love them both, but with the shipping cost of $50 this is just too steep for me to justify. For the same reason I had to give up on Gavin's book and I'm afraid I might not be the only one. But either way, best of luck!
Ground shipping and regular air mail are available but ground can take up to 3 months plus no tracking.
@@QuietLightPhoto Yeah, that's insane. I was thinking maybe we're looking at the problem from the wrong side. Instead of shipping from Canada, maybe it would be possible to have a "EU edition" printed on this side of the pond? But I guess if it were that easy, someone would have figured it out already...
@@TrashTheLens I did look into this but the logistic s are a little difficult since I have no way of storing or sending the books out unless I have a publisher print the books for me. Perhaps next time I’ll do something like this. The big problem with books are their weight. E books would make more financial sense but they're just not the same
@@QuietLightPhotoI'm looking at Liam Wong's "TO:KY:OO" right now, which he managed to get printed in China and sold through Amazon. I remember it costing me less than the shipping alone from Canada. ;) I was wondering if that would a viable option for you, Gavin and others. However I have no clue how many copies he's selling (he might be bigger than I imagine)... Anyway, have a great 2024!
Ordered the other day 👍
Excellent, thank you!
