Another bank fisherman here, I'm just outside of Charlotte. The bream are starting to feed up and I've been catching some solid ones in the neighborhood ponds the past few weeks, a bunch of 7 - 8 inchers and I even got one 9-1/2 incher last week. I've also been catching some nice crappie close to the bank, so they should be getting ready to spawn soon. I've been mostly using a black with chartreuse tail Leland Crappie Magnet about 2 feet under a float on a 1/32oz jig, tipping the jig with a crappie nibble.
