@Nogilthazaa the rom maker just released an update that nerfs Aegislash, King Shield no longer lowers attack, and was reduced to 5PP so now all my Strats are screwed lmao
@Nogilthazaa yeah in gen 6 early in XY ageislash was one of the best pokemon and was a counter to mega lucario which also got banned, infact because of aegislash mega medicham and mega gardevoir were absolute jokes and one of the worst megas in OU but after aegislash was banned the 2 wreaked havoc on the tier until gardevoir died out but medicham still dominated, after gen 7 (in gen 8) aegislash was now nerfed and it got stuck in UU and ofc destroyed the tier and later got banned and is currently stuck in borderline

Secondly, the enemy AI in Radical Red has perfect knowledge on the player's team. They automatically know your items, moves, etc. as soon as the battle starts (notice the pokemon not attacking into his yache berry with that type, even though since they have no frisk they shouldn't know about it. He even said they knew about it) . The enemy has perfect information because it is LITERALLY designed to be played with the documentation. Besides, if the docs made all the difference, then people shouldn't have been screaming unnuzlockeable and should've just...beaten the game if the docs are all you need.
My question is how he knew all of the bosses' movesets. I beat the hack myself and I didn't have that information in the documention, unless it's glitching out somehow. For repeat playthroughs, I'd love that information to plan a bit better.

While he did play it well, he was literally provided with spreadsheets of moves and IV's for the boss fights/run enders, he took like 2 days just theorycrafting for the E4 and champion. This game is hard going in blind.

I lose at least one or two mons every damn important battle because I still don't have access to all the tools to craft the best team and whatnot. But it's super fun I have to say, even without Nuzlocke rules, at least for me

@@jasperpaape3906 It did only take him 2 attempts, but he had all the info about the trainers that could have ended the run (moves and EVs) so the game became a lot easier when you are allowed to plan and do dmg calcs.

The MVP on my RR nuzlocke team HAS to be my eviolite gloom. Toxic, protect, moonlight, and giga drain/petal dance. 252 ev's in HP and then split between Def and SpD. Such an amazing wall for this game.
I don't do Nuzlockes personally, because a lot, maybe even most of the fun in pokemon for me is building up a team of pokemon that i work with, train, and bond with. Win or lose, we would learn and come back stronger. So losing a Pokemon after a single defeat didnt really work for me. But its always amazing tk see others do it, I learn a lot, and feel i can use the things i learn in even a regular playthrough. Great video.
That Sabrina fight was the best gym battle I've ever had, Scald burned 3 times in a row (I turned on randomized abilities so my Ludicolo had Serene Grace), got 2 Rock Slide flinches and just swept her with Adaptability Excadrill
This guys is so good at this he's just taking random Pokémon and making strategies for them to win and it's a nuzlocke I don't even play a nuzlocke I even try to get near perfect IVs and I still lose since I'm mostly going blind and you that double battle with Brendan in Silph co. I just won that because the enemy's last pokemon was honedge and mine was slaking so I just heal up and can't really attack since my move set was slackoff, slash,power up punch and rockslide I barely won that thanks to typing advantage and the honedge died by struggle I'm so bad at this

After seeing the two sides of the argument about the concept of nuzlockes and what exactly makes them difficult, would it be possible to make a rom hack that has more than one potential fight for the boss trainers? 3-5 different sets in a similar vein but requiring different strategies to wipe or would that defeat the purpose of the challenge? What is a nuzlocke testing; the ability to play a Pokémon game extremely effectively by being adaptable or solving a series of difficult puzzles (boss trainers) with perfect information by being extremely familiar with the game ai?
I’m a bit surprised to have seen Luxray overlevel, from what I had heard this game didn’t let you do that? And his Ludicolo seemed to stick to level 58. I’m considering playing this game myself and I’m curious as to how overleveling works.
The xp gain is super slow when you reach the cap for each part of the game. You literally cant over level unless you're a dumbass and grinding for hours
I believe he only overleveled because he set his own level caps. The game itself has a level cap to it, and once you hit it you only gain 1 exp per Pokémon. He set his own level cap that is lower than the games level cap, meaning he can still get overleveled.
Dream balls make it so Pokémon get their hidden ability when you capture them in this romhack, though in gen 8 they do perform better on sleeping Pokémon
