    Where's everybody watching from?

Great job on that one! I was cussing a blue streak on your behalf with all that mud. I have been there, sat down in it when I've gotten trapped, AND walked right out of my boots. Mud is not my friend. The mic was a great addition too!

Thank you! It was so windy there was no chance of even trying to use the gopro. Better audio this way but a little more shake that the gopro gets out.

Nice job little question can't you put like a metal cage or like thick plate on the mud so you can stand safe and be able to reach better and

I bet I could. Probably a piece of plywood would work. I'll make sure to bring one next time and see. Thanks for watching!

Looks good. Are you allowed to trap the beaver in your state? I'm in Wisconsin. It would be nice if all those leaves could flow away. ❤😊

We are, and we do a bit. Problem is we are surrounded by bayous, and they are full of them so when you get rid of them, they come right back. I have seen the leaves alone clog a culvert, they are a pain certain times of the year!

This video had a surprise optical illusion. Because im used to beaver dam videos where the pool is upstream, and the angle of the video, i thought thr water flow was left to right. The downstream pool looked higher in elevation somehow, until you broke it and i could see the water flowing to fix my brains misinterpretation.
I imagine it has to be easier to get into these channels, manually or backhoe, before spring sets in and everything greens up and makes it harder to see/maneuver.

The camera angle on this one was weird for sure. Cameras don't show slope well at all. The main camera was pointing down and was located several feet above my head. Hopefully the few shots from the secondary camera helped with perspective a bit.

Wouldn't a shovel be easier to widen it? Good video.

Sometimes, just depends. Beavers use sticks and debris as they are building with the mud to reinforce it. Like rebar in concrete. It can make a shovel useless and why the rake is generally preferred. I have successfully used a shovel in some scenarios though. Didn't have one on this day, my bad preparation.
