A bit late to the game but i just happened to come across your channel . Good to see the old man hasn't lost his personality and colourful slant on english Hahaha . You either loved him or hated him a lot tolerated him , I liked his honesty and a spade is a spade . I had the pleasure of dealing with your old man maybe 30 years ago when i was into Rangies and got one of his diffs and a set of axles after suffering a few strandings , Never to suffer the fate of many a rover in the day ever again. I think Holden has other final drives which are worse than these. I'm not a fan of them but they line up better than the falcon IRS diff and weight heaps less which looks after the bushes.
hey Neville can you do a step by step video on how to change out the shitty factory holden clutch packs for some of your invincible shop made ones...that would be awesome. i brought some of the invincible clutch packs from you guys bout a year ago and they are still sitting in the box on my floor,i dont want a diff shop to get there hands on em.... thanks for your time mate.
Yes mate we will do that. You need to make up a special tool or just get use all thread with washers and nuts and pull back the side gears with two nuts and all thread so the side gears compress the baval/curved washer under the clutches. So to get it all together you need to compress the side gears in the carrier to get it all together. With out compressing the side gears in the carrier you can not get the pinion gears and pinion curved washers in. Send it all to us in a box and we will do it for you and send it back to you the next day 👍
Mate can I ask a question... IV bought a Haynes workshop manual for VE/VF commodores. I can't find the pinion nut torque settings for the ZF diff. Just putting Eaton Tru trac in my diff because you guessed it, the LSD stripped it's teeth! Any info in pinion nut torque would be greatly appreciated. Cheers 👍🏻🇭🇲
I believe a lot of diff builders tighten the nut by feel and by checking the mesh of the gears as they rotate the diff back and forth as they tighten and loosen to get the correct tension....I could be wrong but that's how I did mine.
Good to see all the grindings get wiped off properly before they get put in the diff with all the other filth to add to contamination... Differential Specialist... Hahahahaha.. gotta love the back yard blokes giving it a go.
We obviously will pull the whole diff apart and put new bearings in it after we wash all the parts in the degreaser and hot wash so they're clean enough to eat off. But we don't film all that because it would go for about 5 hours. We just show the part that shows off the power lock LSD we designed and made on a CNC lathe and machining centre. Is that ok with you misster nice guy
Tell me you’ve never stepped foot into a gearbox or diff reconditioners workshop without telling me you’ve never stepped foot into a gearbox or diff workshop… Hate to break it to ya mate, they all look exactly like that
Well it's a bit of a different situation because these vehicles have like 800 horsepower. A 6.2 l supercharged engine in a Holden is too much for this diff. So that's one reason why the diff fucks up all the time
Always enjoy listening to an expert talking about what he does while watching him doing what he does.

Always good watching someone who knows what their doing but shit to know my diff is a ticking time bomb.
Any tips for removing the pinion bearing races from the front case please?
I guess they got a really good price on them. Gold.

Fkn hell look at that workshop. Stuff bloody everywhere
G'day neville,
You wouldn't happen to have and of those clutches laying around the shop for sale would you??
I think there's a few but not enough for a diff. We really need to get onto making some more.
@@differentials yeah would be good I need to order some when you do

Yeh I have a Ve ss ute 100,000 km stock car and on diff number 4 this time it's a torque lock centre we will see if this one holds

Hey mate. Do you guys still do diffs? I'm in need of a zf diff.
Yes we do we have fixed three of them in the past 7 days.
@@differentials Perfect 👌. Watched a fair few of your videos. I dropped my diff out the ve today, it has eaten itself. Where are you guys based?

@@differentials Thanks mate. I'm in Adelaide, I have found you on Google maps. I'll give you a call Monday morning. Thank you
Hey guys my trusty diff in my vf ss just blew. Do you guys still do your bullet proof diff
Is "fucks things up" a generic technical term only applicable to Holden diffs?
Haha yes mate
Applies to alot of things in life.
at least the falcon irs diff's don't bust not the diff center anyway

and then put a 2000+hp turbo barra in front of it AND then see what happens
Has to be a backyard job. Look at the state of the place. Worksafe would shut it down
ironically enough most places that look like this tend to make the best shit..

Power lock diffs are fucked up
Messiest workspace ever. How does he get anything done.
its not that bad you should see our maintenance shop at my work
Looks every rebuilt diff comes complete with free crap and corruption inside the diff from the new parts getting smashed around the filthy work bench.
1400HP axels fix that problem
I'm sorry mate I don't get what you're trying to say ??? How can some axles fix the poorly designed LSD ???
