- Happy New Year to everyone!
Here we have made a video for our newest template which was featured in our Dec 2020 mystery box. I apologize this video took so long to make, the holidays hit pretty hard around Maker's!
The template for this clutch can be found at:makersleathers...
Awesome pattern!
Enjoy your teaching with each step. Please consider close up shots...would be super cool to see the intricate artistry. Thank you for sharing all of your tips...very helpful!!!
Think I wanna add this template to my collection. Always enjoy your videos, good watch in the morning sipping coffee from my MLS mug. Glad your watching Canadian programming to rot your brain, Letterkenny is entertaining as all hell.
Thanks Aaron! The audio sounds great! Really like this pattern and looking forward to working on it too!
Happy New Year! So happy yall are back with a new video and thank you for the new mic! The audio quality is great!
thank you for your video's, i always learn something from your videos. thanks again
Nice Cap!
Thanks Aaron, another great video.
Aaron my volume is all the way up & I can barely hear you. Not sure what is going on.
Thanks for the vid, I bought myself a present this year a new sewing machine, I practiced on a bunch of scrap till I decided to do a wallet, your comment on always check the bobbin thread made me laugh you can probably guess what i didnt do. thanks for all your videos.
OK lets see it after Janie Sue packs it full!
I can’t wait to try this! Thanks! There was a focus issue with the camera.
It's automatic unfortunately, I'm working on a new camera next
Hey I love your videos. I bought your dopp kit template. Interested in your bifold template, but the holes are so ugly. I trust your knowledge and skill set over my own, but is their a more aesthetic way to get durability? Maybe larger cc slots? Many wallets don't have holes for what may be ingenious forsight in terms of utility. No insult, just the utility holes are ugly.
Your shirt changed color a couple times within the first minute. kinda cool.
Great project.
Question. I understand the tape beneath each cut and the one at the top and bottom. Why the other tape at the bottom of each pocket? Will just the tape at each pocket not be enough to hold? Or is the other just for assurance it will hold?
It's more to make it so that creasing at the right place is easier.
@@makersleathersupply1220 that makes perfect sense.
Hell yea! A pattern pack for a leather jacket sign me up
I assumed it was going to have a carry strap since it came with the hardware for one. What am I missing here?
I failed to make that in the video. Ours is 1/2 x 14" and a little tab sewn onto the corner of the wallet with that small D Ring
Hi I've been asking a couple of leather crafters on UA-cam, the ones I mostly watch and learn from, but I have a question about different types of dyes. I mostly use water based dye (eco-flo) never used pro or oil based. I noticed that my water based dye makes my leather stiff. But oil and pro dye(don't know the differencebetween the two) from what I noticed the leather is still pretty soft and floppy. Why is that? If you or someone can let me know why it does that. Why the consistency in the leather changes, thank you. Its just for my own knowledge and I'm thinking of switching over to try oil based.
Hi there, first off most "oil based" dye usually doesn't Even contain oil... which is why feibings changed the name to "pro dye"... it just is stronger with more pigment. The reason the water based ones change the consistency of the leather is because they force a lot of water to soak into the leather and then dry out... and with leather every time it gets soaked and dries it dries out too much. No matter which dye you use though its always a good idea to oil the leather and let it sit for a day after the dye is dry. You can use a fancy oil like neatsfoot or you could use just plain ol vegetable oil from your kitchen. That will help keep the leather softer.
@@makersleathersupply1220 oh man thank you so much that helps alot and I was going to try feibings brand tan color. Thanks again.
When will that snap setter you used be back in stock
I've had an order in for them for quite a while. We need them back in stock for sure.
I’m looking at the Class 26. It would work for this...correct?
Definitely so!
FYI I use the skife blades in an
x-acto knife body for those card slots. Got the idea from DG.
I hope the snakes are holding the sparklers.....lol
Glad you got a new microphone
Get closer to it I can barely hear you.
It's been fixed.
...um...no expert, but I had to crank my volume up as high as it could go, and it still wasn't loud enough....???
I agree. Sound quality is good, but volume is too low....
I can't hear you
Don't apologize for the dog, everyone loves a weiner!
my volume is up as high as it will go and I can hardly hear you.
Volume is to low.
Take the microphone back an get a better one...not very loud at all
Or I could just turn it up.
Anyone want to be my Boyfriend 😍💋 💝💖♥️❤️
