I'm excited to try it--I've not been pleased with how the kits come together--the edges are all a bit off and it's hard to get them to look nice and smooth.
I realize this is an older video, but I found a source for a fabric. It's not only very thin but is a RFID fabric so the credit cards are protected. I found it on Amazon for not a bad price. A 3' by 4' sheet should make a few wallets. Not too badly priced considering. The material at Makers Leather is cheaper and you get more so you're choice.

I do on some leathers. Usually not on Veg tan though.
If you're looking for another project to try, I've seen many videos for Field Notes covers...might do well for you also. Just a suggestion.
