Really like this tractor, first time driving one. Loads of power, a tier 2 emissions engine for the New Zealand market so no adblue or EGR. And because it's an M series there's no power boost, it just makes 195hp all the time. It sounds brilliant, the camera doesn't pick it up as well as it was in reality but na...a great tractor.
The only complaint I would have is the lack of an exhaust brake but I suppose thats just down to the contour we were working on that day. In Ireland or England where hills aren't so bad you wouldn't miss an exhaust brake so much.
I've took some more videos, one of raking and one of mowing. Neither are on nice level ground. They'll be up sometime as well. During maize I hope to really get some interesting videos. Hopefully driving the 6175R when we come to maize. Also I hope to get a better baling video on some steep ground. To keep it interesting. Also hopefully will get a video of the 6155R baling 5 foot round bales with a V660. That would be a good video. And I also have a video of the 6115R with some 3 metre discs discing headlands of maize ground if ye want to see that? Let me know, I'm in two minds about putting it up. That would be about it for New Zealand videos then. Back home after maize. Fix up my own gear and see what work I can find for it in the summer 🤷♂️ - Авто та транспорт
Great video Wayne. Seeing a good few of the new 6m’s in Ireland in the past year. They look a lot better and more comfy than the first 6ms that came out

When did you start with Nathan? I had them out on 17th Dec, did some pretty ngarly hills with the chopper..
I'm working for Mudfords so I'm not with Nathan on every silage job. Just the long hauls. For Maize I will be there full time, you might see me
What kind of mowing set up do they have? Looks to peel the ground well
I don't know, sorry. I only see this side of the operation, not the mowing.
How does the tier 2 work is it in reality the same engine as like a 75? Looks a good place to draw silage
I think even less emissions rubbish than a European 7530. I think a 7530 has egr but this tractor does not. Just a turbo, into a little box like a catalytic converter or a dpf filter idk what it is really, then out to the muffler. That's it. Sounds great in person, the camera doesn't pick it up so well.

Thanks, I never turned one but these trailers are specially built for new zealand conditions. They are over 9 feet wide I think. Since the fleet of trailers were made only 2 have been over in 8 years. Both times they were still quite empty. It's just very steep here in places.

Great video what part of the world you drawing silage in and is it for your own farm or someone else?
I'm just a driver, none of this is mine. It's in New Zealand but my family's farm is in Ireland.
Do u ever regret doing the move to nz and will you be going back to nz another season
When I was at the first job I nearly came home after the first few weeks. Absolutely hated it. Not the employer's fault, I just didn't fit in there. He set me up with the new job with all the John Deeres and doing ok out here now.
If I had not much else to do next winter I would come back for sure but I won't be back next year as I hope to do some things at home next winter. I might be back the year after next to try out truck driving or just more tractor driving, we will have to see how it pans out, can't plan that far ahead.

I don't think I'll get a video on that one unfortunately 😅 will see plenty of it in maize videos which should start appearing in the next few months.

What did you make of new zealand? Is the pay any good for a driver?
I'm here again at the moment. I got a very good employer which made me want to come back again. I got something like €16 an hour last year but up to roughly €17.50 this year.
@@WayneMescal roughly how long are the days when the season is in full swing? Is it as crammed as here In Ireland with windows being very tight? Thanks for the reply
@@johndonohue4153 Maize season is the busiest time of year in March. You'd do 90 hours a week every week for maybe 4 weeks. November December January is kind of the baling season and I only work for a small outfit on grass silage so the hours wouldn't be maybe what the big boys do but we'd still do 80 hours a week sometimes when we're busy. I was worried could i keep up with the hours too before I came over here but I managed away fine.

Can you actually get the 50k box from factory?, John Deere don’t mention it on their website at all, just wondering cause I’m trying to talk my boss into getting a 6195M for fert spreading but I don’t think he’ll want a 40k box
You can't actually. Order it new with 40k eco box and specify front brakes. Then you can safely open them out to 55k
