All this time I have been playing this game thinking I had to get three of the same item and colour and had no idea it could also be three different items of the same colour! I kinda knew I was doing something wrong but couldn’t pin point what it was 😂 Thank you for explaining this so well!
Also, they have definitely nerfed the scoring system. You don't get nearly that many points for a winning hand anymore. Not even with 3 sets of the high value set.
The entire point of the hot pot is to score as many Prize Wheel Coins as fast as possible! Nothing else. So, fast games are needed. This way everyone gains. If you sit and diddle too much with strategies like, don't give that person what he is collecting and so on, it's going to be slow games. People tend to leave tables that are slow with losses for everyone.
This video was made for the original version of hot pot that was at the market, not for the new version in the underground. If hot pot ever returns to the market as a way to kill time between the balooon and chappa games, this guide would would totally apply! But for the new version, no. Win as fast as possible, honestly whoever can win the fastest. Hope that clears it up. :)
@@RavyniaGaming So the original hot pot at the Maji market gave more points? I hope to see that again. Cause right now the underground one doesn't let you score that high. Which I think is a pitty, cause then it becomes as I said a matter of people doing as many quick games as possible to win most coins in shortest time.

Here's a question. Do you think you maybe get higher point scores for matching the ingredients in each section? Like seafood where the prawns are bobbing up, and heat root in the deep red segment? Vegies in the vegetable section? I've had a really good score, while on the "hot" (very red) part of the hotpot, have 3 x heat root....I can't recall my other combos, but I didn't have 3 sets of identical 3 cards. It just seems like a bit of a hint, while I was watching mushrooms bobbing around last time I played in my next game...
Interesting! I'll have to try that today! I haven't noticed that personally, but someone did say they had a higher score than my highest so I need to experiment more for sure!

This reminds me of the Pit card game! That game is fun!
