Hey guys it's Thomas here to show you guys a couple nutrition tips on how to transform your pre-workout meal into fat-burning fuel. Today is all about boosting your metabolism to utilize body fat as your primary energy source.
    --
    Video Breakdown:
0:53 - So let's get started with your pre-workout meal choice. My tip here is to try to not combine a protein and carb source as your pre workout meal. By doing this, you are making sure that your body is circulating blood to the muscles instead of to your digestive organs.
2:01 - The reason why I recommend guys to avoid eating protein and carbs together before working out is because the body can not efficiently break down these energy sources at the same time.
2:30 - This is why guys who eat big pre-workout meals tend to get a bloated, upset stomach during their training.
3:00 - What I strongly suggest guys to choose as their pre-workout food source is fruit. The energy from fruit is utilized rapidly.
3:40 - Now if you are in the gym and find yourself bored between sets, I've got a solution for you: stretching.
5:00 - What I recommend doing is stretching the antagonist muscle, or opposing muscle, to the body part you are training. If you are training triceps, stretch your biceps. If you are training back, stretch your chest... This will allow you to actually get a better contraction and pump during your working sets!
6:10 - Now, you can choose a high protein and high fat post workout meal, completely skipping the carbs, if you are looking to burn off body fat fast.
6:50 - And you are in luck because I'm going to show you a great, easy meal to eat after a workout: grass fed beef burgers.
8:04 - Here's how you can make this recipe:
    1. Coat your stove top pan with coconut oil
    2. In a mixing bowl, add the beef with Himalayan pink salt, turmeric and combine the ingredients into patties
    3. Add the burger patties to the heated pan (on medium) and cook until browned on both sides.
10:30 - As always, keep it locked here at Six Pack Shortcuts for all of your weight loss, nutrition and muscle building needs!

For 99.9% of people out there there's no need to partition nutrients, it's just too complicated. Total daily caloric intake + a good ratio of protein, carbs, fat and fiber coming 80% from whole healthy foods they love the taste of will do the trick. With 20% being whatever they want as long as the calories are accounted for.

Can you simplify it down for me?
    What u got was:
    1. carbs, 15 min wait
    2. Fruit, 15 min wait
    3. Protein, 15 min wait
    4. stretchy sets
    5. No carbs, just protein
    6. Carbs- Coconut oil, grassy beef, tumeric, broccoli
    7. Protein
    8. Carbs
That's probabaly wrong as there was a lot of extra stuff in between each 'step' so could you please clean it up for me.
    Many thanks

1/2 - The fruits are the carbs.
3 - I'm not watching the video again but I don't know what the 15 min wait is for unless you're saying you should start your workout then which doesn't sound right.
5 - He said protein and fat.
6 - I'm not sure if you're trying to call all of those carbs but that was his meal you mentioned with 5.
7 - Missing the fat again.

I'm an 18 year old high school soccer player and I was wondering if you Thomas DeLauer or anyone else knows if reduced fat triscuits are a good snack that's high in carbohydrates to eat a few hours before a soccer game, I usually just eat a banana about 1-2 hours before but I wanted to eat something else at least 3-4 hours before the game because I'm not sure if a banana is enough. If you have any suggestions for better alternatives and/or different time frames, feel free to mention them. Thanks!

+Annatar Its really hard to eat a bunch of fish, cuz usually fish are so small and sometimes real expensive. Beef is not as expensive and you can get a lot of it at once, as for fish, you have to buy one at a time. It's really all based on preference, yes you are correct, fish are rich in omega 3, probably even more than the beef, but like I said, fish are hard to eat mass productively, as for beef, its much much easier and cheaper.
That was a real good point tho it had me thinking xD
