╔ About The Parachute Down Pillow ╗
CEO Ariel Kaye launched Parachute in 2014. Inspired by a night sleeping on luxurious bedding at a European hotel, Kaye made it her mission to offer similarly high-quality bedding to her customers. Today, Parachute not only sells mattresses and bedroom accessories, but also bathroom products and decor for the home.
The Parachute Down Pillow is made up of 85 percent pure European white down with the remaining 15 percent a down-feather blend. Parachute’s down is ethically repurposed, and the company is Responsible Down Standard certified.
Parachute’s down and down alternative pillows are both encased in 100 percent sateen weave cotton shells reinforced with double-stitched piping seams for enhanced durability. They come in standard and king-sizes.
Parachute uses pure European white down, although to add firmness and support about 15 percent of the pillow filling is a blend of down and feathers. Parachute Down Pillows are 750 fill power, which allows these pillows to be light, airy, and have a good amount of loft. The higher loft allows for better air circulation, keeping these pillows cool all night.
Each type of pillow has a 100 percent sateen weave cotton casing that’s double-stitched to avoid tearing and increase its overall durability. Parachute’s pillows are made in Cincinnati, Ohio and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified.
There are three firmness options available: soft, medium, and firm. It’s worth noting that Parachute’s down pillows are slightly firmer than other down pillows. This extra firmness lends additional support, making these pillows especially suitable for back and side sleepers. However, the down alternative pillow is softer than expected, making it best suited for stomach sleepers, and anyone who prefers an extremely plush pillow.
For down pillow orders, air out your pillow for a day or two to get rid of any off-gassing odors.
Although Parachute recommends having their pillows professionally cleaned, it’s still possible to machine wash them yourself. Machine wash the pillows on cool using a delicate cycle setting and a mild liquid detergent. Tumble dry on low and remove the pillows quickly.
Parachute provides free domestic ground shipping to all 50 states. Overnight and expedited shipping is available and calculated by UPS. Ground shipping to American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands is calculated by USPS.
Parachute makes their pillows available to try during a 60-night window. If during this time you find that their down or down alternative pillows aren’t to your liking, you can send them back for a full refund.
Parachute Pillows are backed with a three-year warranty.
Pros and Cons of the Parachute Down pillow

love how detailed your pillow reviews are
Looks so comfy will definitely be checking these out
This was a great review and im impressed that the Parachute comes in 3 different softness levels so there is something for everyone. Thank you for all of the information on this pillow and as a side sleeper im thinking the softer version will be best for me since i like a super squishy pillow
Glad you enjoyed this review, Colleen!
Now this sounds like a good down pillow!!
Some reviews complain about the foul odor. Did you notice any odor to these pillows?
I really like the loft of the pillow. I like that it acts more like a memory foam as in that it molds and returns to shape. I like that supports your head and neck without sinking down too flat. I really like this pillow. I am a side sleeper and I have problems not only finding a pillow that supports my neck and head properly but isnt hard on my ears which tend to get soar easily. Thanks for the review.
This would be a great pillow for side sleepers! Thanks for sharing what you like about the Parachute down, Robin! 👍
That pillow looks awesome and as a side sleeper I think I would love it.
Sounds like a match made in heaven, Jeff! 👍
I love light fluffy and moldable pillow that retains shape! Sounds like good fit for me!
Glad you dig the paracute, l pittmon! 👏
Whilst I'd love to get one of these, longevity of previous down pillows have been lackluster so I seem to stick with cheap, hollow fibre pillows from a certain UK store for around £12 a pillow which last just over a year.
Lofty, light pillow with many variables good to know nice it's for combo sleeper
Pretty dreamy!😴
I like that they come in 3 firmness options. I would get the the medium option and the 7” loft sounds perfect for my side sleeping needs. But i still prefer a memory foam or talalay latex pillow, so comfy. Great review and keep them coming👍
We love when brands give different options to fit different preferences 🙌thanks for watching, Seth!
Looks really great for combination sleeping and also that it wouldn’t become smashed down too quickly. I hate it when a pillow flattens too quickly over time, so this may be a good option once I get new pillows!
New pillows= ultimate treat!
Can you please review the L.L. Bean goose down pillow?
These reviews are always so helpful, but I would encourage everyone to read the reviews on the website too ... I find them extremely helpful with all of the breakdowns and charts! Also, are the parachute pillows available in any stores/showrooms or is it online only?
Thanks for your support, Matt! 🙌 Parachute has brick and mortar stores in most major cities, you can find the one closest to you here: www.parachutehome.com/pages/stores or you can purchase directly through their website. It doesn't look like they're available through a third party seller at this time
@@TuckSleep Thanks! I'll check out the NYC store since that's closest to me.
Looks very light and airy. It’s great for side sleepers. I might give this a try.
Parachute offers a 100 day trial, 3+ months to really test it out!
Looks interesting.Trapping heat and general softness may make this an option for me.
Glad the Parachute down appeals to you, rm!
This looks like a really nice, cozy pillow...I have issues sleeping because I sleep on my side and stomach; so this would be a great huggable option.
This sounds like a great fit!
I never thought about buying a better pillow than what is at a department store. I like that your channel offers more than just mattress reviews.
Thanks for watching, Ann! So glad to have you with us!
I absolutely love down pillows, I just have never found anything as comfy as down for the way I sleep.
We love them too, Jennifer!
I like that it appears to be responsive while still offering some “sink”.
Sounds like the perfect pillow to us!
Where are these pillows made?
Looks very comfy, like you could sink in a bit. I like to feel my head kind of surrounded by the pillow.
I know I'm quite off topic but does anybody know of a good place to watch new tv shows online?
@Omar Nova I would suggest flixzone. You can find it on google =)
I like how it is moldable, it looks very comfortable :)
That's one of our favorite features, too! Thanks for watching, Sean!👍
Down pillows are the best pillows!!!
AGREE!!
I like soft fluffy pillows but I am a side sleeper
You said this pillow is reasonably priced and I’m sure compared yo others of similar quality it is, but still too much for me to spend.
Is it washer safe?
Yes, you can wash it on a delicate cycle or have it professionally dry-cleaned
Tuck Sleep perfect! Thank you
Don't think this is the pillow for me. Would definitely be for my boyfriend and I love that generous 3 year warranty it has :)
Hard to beat a warranty that long! 🙌
real down is quite expensive, so it doesn't surprise me that the cost of this pillow is a reach. Looks good, however.
I bought the soft based on their website video...terrible. It's almost non-existent, nothing alike the videos, and it costed like $129 with tax.
