just put navids name in the mw5 credits at this point as a designer, considering he finished their dam game for them.

There is a mod that replaces the Piranha logo at the beginning with a nvidia parody / Navid logo. It reads; NAVIDA1 "The way it's meant to be played". I installed it.

Downloaded this first thing when it came out on the nexus, and its probably the best mod out there for MW5, it adds so much more to the game, really fun to play now.
I can hit people 800 meters out with my ac/20 in mwo. I am the targeting computer. (Yes I know you only do like .5 damage but it's about sending a message)

I love Battletech the Pc game and whilst I did wish for more content for the base game I understood that they were a kickstarter project and somethings just where too big for the project to accomplish. I do not extend this forgiveness of kickstarters to Mw:5 as they signed an inclusivity deal with the epic games store after people had already preordered on steam and even then the base game is still horribly lacking.
such mods really show how bad pgi handles their product. nevertheless, i cant wait for the steam release and thanks to all the ppl who makes a mediocre game quite enjoyable.
Peranas ceos, and heads care more about money then gamplay. That was oficial by changing engins to Unreal engine to make money from Epic games. Instead of evolving the engine they had. They started from scratchdd and rushed it out the door...
Incredible Mod! Really recommend it! It surprisingly works well with other Mods that I use too, and I use a lot, around 40! Which tells you a bit how much work this game needed.
But with this type of mods and this awesome community it's shaping to be a great game! All praise to the moders!

A mod that should have been the BASIC design of the game to begin with. MW5 isn't BAD, it's just lacking.

Mods make the whole experience better.
the problem is when the mods need to fix way too many things you start running into compatibility problems, specially in multiplayer. mods are better on games with a more complete and refined core experience.
@@danilooliveira6580 That's exactly the problem when you under-develop a game and then make it moddable. There are so many things not done, that you already shot the modding scene in the foot... because the effort and energy will go into developing basic features rather than advancing things forward.... and the effort and energy is going to deplete after a while.
We need to know that Piranha Games Inc. is basically an indie studio. While gameplay footage look so much better back in 2017 showcase it's not BioWare's Anthem nor Bethesda Fallout 76.
@@Maslanyshn But it is Hello Games' No Man's Sky. Least they fixed their game eventually, I hope that Piranha Games can do the same, but from what I know MW5 was supposed to be a flagship to gain them more money for more projects and that's what I'm afraid of.

You IMMEDIATELY had my interest peaked when I saw the Cicada get upgraded to have more stuff . I stopped playing because end game felt like you needed a whole bay full of heavy mechs just to make a profitable run into a warzone and a lot of mechs could be barely played around with, the Archer for instance just overheats immediately if you don't downgrade to LRM 15s and even then the catapult could be even tankier if you took the jumpjets off and better able to handle the heat of LRM 20s
It’s so nice, been streaming it past two days. Over 15hrs and yeah it helps the meta game in for customization.
Hopefully they make it so that weapons have dynamic lighting at some point, too. It doesn't seem like weapon impacts light anything up when it's dark out, which is a bit weird.
reminds me of when i watched the launch video for homeworld remastered. how the ion beams would light up everything along the length of the beam. that one boggled my tiny mind
I cant wait to see what modders add, need more mech games in the world honestly.
i would love one were you just can build your own Mech from parts frontmission or heavy gear style with an indepth mechlab like in this mod on top of it ..
the parts sorta determine the capabilities of your mech .. however the more you put on it like say armored parts or large ones with space, or special parts that have certain perks like a gun or riflearm for increased DPS, velocity or range, the more weight you put on the mech affecting its overall manueverbility ... your build would then be put in a weightclass for a TDM ...
of course it should have some premade optimised mechs for a couple examples ...

Nothing to be ashamed about using modders stuff as long credits are given. Both sides can only improve from working together.

Awesome. Navid is amazing modder. Unfortunately I still don't find the game fun, I would need mission and campaign overhaul mod because IMO the vanilla campaign and mission mechanics are absolutely terrible. But this gives some hope for the future.

Damn, now I regret starting with MercTech a week ago. I bet this doesn't screw over SRM mechs either.
I love what Magnum did with MercTech, but I wish that he didn't integrate his weapons into it.
This is an awesome looking mod and makes me want to start a new campaign. The problem I'm seeing is that enemy AI mechs are going to be left in the dust. at end game your mech is going to be superior to AI. Most enemy mechs (DRG-1N and CDA-2A for example) are bad on purpose. It would be interesting to see this mod extended to upgrade AI mechs on harder missions
I already felt the game was too easy unmodded, this mod will make the entire game so easy that you can solo the missions.
He will continue working on it, knowing Navid he will never stop!
Scary tanks and TT Rulez AI make the game a fair bit more challenging.
If you mix the MW5 Reloaded mod with the Realistic weapon velocities will the targeting computer compensate properly?

Nobody wants half finished products, MW5 vanilla.
But if the coming MW5 dlc have no feature like this, then they are not really using their collective brains, while Navid as a single individual could thought of all these things!

I would love to see this upgrades in vanilla game, but I somehow can't imagine them being possible inside tiny Leopard.
But immersion and lore-wise this could be possible in advanced industrial system, after reaching some reputation cap with certain faction - more reason to ally with someone. This could be always possible after settling place for our own. In campaign we have conquered Black Inferno base instead of capturing them.
I hated the fact that hero mechs were so much better than standard equipment. Instead of searching for them, we should have option to creating something for our own, by looking for interesting equipment like this in order to create our very own "hero mech" from the chassis we love.
Yeah it’s a cool idea. But I don’t think PGI is going to go that direction.

When I play the game, I get a snowy screen look in the game. Like light particles on the screen. How do I get rid of it?.
That Cicada "mod" is really beyond the scope of what a mercenary's techs should be able to accomplish. It's basically a Clan Cicada IIC at that level of modding.
You should also take a look at the tabletop AI mods as they improve AI behavior trees and allow for companions and other enemies to engage at farther distances like players would. The AI also don’t just circle around you like that light mech in the end and they use jump jets more
I’ve used this in the past with mix results because friendly lance mates acted weird. He has updated it but I wanted to test this mod without anything first.
Wow! I might actually start playing again! Any suggestions for other mods to make the spawns less...magical.
There is a Nexus mod 'Better Spawns' that constrains enemy drops via dropships on certain missions & keeps other units gathered around the nav points with no peekaboo spawns on your six. It was sooo annoying to have units just popup after you just walked through or pass that area of terrain that was devoid of any ground units. I read the mod description in Nexus and this mod changes the spawn behavior and unit composition to have fewer better enemies. I think Better spawns is still compatible too.
All these improvements sound great, this mod might just be the thing I needed to start another campaign playthrough.
But have to wonder what the full customization system does to the game balance. MW5 was not that hard game in the first place (or rather the difficulty was all over the place, generally low) so how does the AI manage against optimized mech builds when it couldn't keep up with the mw5 default system?
Also MWO customization system opens up a different problem: making many mech variants pointless. This is a matter of taste I guess, with MW5 system you have to deal with Locust, Cicada, etc being relegated to "trash mob" mechs and never using them yourself. At the same time mech variants have flavor and meaning of existence.
Any idea when this is coming to Steam?

Give me a working AI improvement for enemy spawn, allied and enemy tactics and this may be the only game I play for the rest of the year. Competing with Synthetik lol.

I tried MW5 and the bugs made it unplayable... Enemies stuck outside the map making missions borked got old after twice...

Funny thing is I was in CBTof MWO and we told PGI that the community would help improve MWO through mods and they completely refused to listen back then.... You see PGI? The community is more then willing to help you finish your game for you.... ironicpalpatine.gif
It's also PGI that created the mod tools that people are using, this isn't a PVP game built in cryengine as well. I get what your saying, but it isn't apples to apples!
Somebody ask Navid to create an XML file so that we can use the Cheat mod to add all the components to our inventory 😉

Sensors are still line of sight only.
Devs are adding line of sight but 360 radar in the DLC but unknown release date.
@@NoGutsNoGalaxy Better than nothing I guess. But I'd like to see the old MW2/MW3 radar. Would be nice to make use of Beagle probe and ECM. And give indirect LRM fire some love.
I guess that would break even more some missions like assasination, which are already broken if you core the target even if you're too far to lock it.
Guys I have downloaded and installed this mod but my weapons icons in the mechlad are blank without colors and graphic. Any idea why ?

the target comp should have been in vanilla the question is do the enemy mechs have the same upgrades? if they dont the game might be to easy
Phil mentioned that the enemy mechs can be upgraded.
AI doesn’t utilize a HUD like the player. But you can make AI more difficult.

They have talked about VR and that modders can dive into it. Don’t think there is a big enough market to justify the resources in developing it.
@@NoGutsNoGalaxy Looking at Half Life Alyx sales numbers, i think the market is just waiting for good games. Also, Mech 2 was my first "sim" experience and I've played sims ever since. From Elite Dangerous to Project Cars, there's plenty of VR users and more daily. Especially if a quality project like MW5 adopts it. At the very least they could implement head tracking!

This was one of my biggest gripes about MW5 as well. I hated that the mechlab didn't look like the one in MWO that most all of us are so accustomed to. I couldn't even build the mechs the same way I have them built in MWO. I played the game for a little while but it just kind of put me off, and I started playing other stuff. I saw this posted up on Reddit, and then you had posted as well on FB. I installed and am currently giving it a go. So far it looks great.

One of the things that bugs me about this mod, is the reinforced components or actuators, gyros, don't use up weight. My second complaint would be that thermal vision is too good. You can see the terrain so much better and of course easily spot enemy mechs. Which is why they removed predator vision from MWO.
I mean, that is the point. they made it b&w to help balance it between contrast/definition. but this is a SP game, this kind of balancing doesn't matter very much, just play around with the definition and materials and keep the contrast so people will want to go back to normal vision when visibility is clear.
It’s still beta. I do like the idea of trade offs in the form of you get x but it costs you y. But I also know that scarcity and rarity plays a part in this PVE game like this. So you can have these powerful items in this form for free but they are rare and you can lose them in combat. Also remember trying to emphasize putting arm mounted weapons getting added protection as well.
@@NoGutsNoGalaxy I dunno. Right off the bat the store had some of those upgrades. And with it scaling up in tiers. It'll get a little too power creep imo. Min maxing is more fun when it's not a straight upgrade imo. Not a fan of the whole improved quality thing that RPGs use and less so in this.

almsot forgot this game existed, came out 9 months ago, here's hoping for a steam sale in the new year. Better yet GoG or via another DRM free platform, i have zero interest in playing this online unless it's got co-op(not that i have anyone who would co op on this with me), MWO was fun for a bit but for me it's not a proper mechwarrior game unless i get to stomp some tanks (even if it's only with a high output laser)

@@NoGutsNoGalaxy wasnt the appeal of modding that you could so your own maps by changing the generation string to specific variables. I also remember they said it would be super simple to make your own tiles and just feed them to the generator

None atm. Modders havnt dove into coop stuff much, missions or custom campaigns etc.
Still waiting on MW5 not being epic exclusive, at least there will be a ton of mods and aftermarket support once it is released non-epic

@@ThePyrusKnight yes it now has mod support but not all mods work (or im too idiot to figure it), like the 3d hud navid did, because you have to put the file in the game folder not the mod folder

Doesn't Mechwarrior Five take place during the Third Succession War? (2846-3025 according to Sarana.net) Most of this stuff be either unavailable or limited to factory level refits rather than something you can mod on a dropship. The Innersphere doesn't rediscover endo-steel (much less its variants) until about 3035 for example.
Certainly its a neat mod, with a lot of work put into it. It just seems to miss the point of the game the way a mod adding 20th century firearms to Skyrim doesn't work.
No, it takes place at and just after then. Read the MW5 website.
He introduces the tech as the timeline increases, also some of the tech does exist in that time-frame, but it's just rare.

I really wish this game had more side content, expanded side missions or something, cause doing endless cookie cutter missions on maps 4x larger than they need to be with no context is really grading. like give me an escort mission, or a scouting mission or fuckin anything. i literally just asked for an escort mission thats how little content there is in this game. 4 years in development and the trailers were total misrepresentations
If you need a Targting computer to hit anything with a cannon, you should stop piloting or git good.

Just ammo conservation is key, i know it was a eazy peezy mission. you dont use weapon systems over optimal range to prevent ammo waste and reduced damage (its supposed to be reduced.....) you would use your indirect long range weapon to hit those targets. its personal opinion, but you was having fun. its ok if you have fun.
What mods are needed/required within the store in order for this to work? If I choose the mod. If I don’t select some of the required mod combinations the game crashes. :/. Is there specific mods that need one or the other to work?
This made me reinstall the game. Like it so far.
However Thermal Vision is way to good in all situation, since it has unlimited range. Needs to be toned done if he can do that. Maybe even tie it to his new upgrade system, so that there are different levels of thermal vision. ANd while we at it, he could do the same with night vision, since atm its obsolete with thermal vision :D
I’m sure he will add counters to thermals. Or maybe even make it an optic so you have to choose.
Your upgrade system idea is a good one. But think about modern tanks, they all have really damn good thermal optics with extreme range that are relied on heavily.

Navid is better at MW5 than MW5 guys. I'd say Navid has a gift for this but sadly all he needed is common sense.
Frankly, this mod is great and disgusting at the same time.
The game starts 3015 so there should be no things like FF armour, XL-engines and several other things. In addition, a small mercenary unit with a Leopard dropship would not be able to do super extensive mech modifications. So when it comes to in game logic the mechlab has been more than there should have been.
Besides that, it is great to have all these options now and I love it. However, I really hope that the mods do integrate a timeline for the various equipment to become available.
That's a good point. I wonder if it makes the game too easy now. But we all like more options and customisation. Maybe if this would unlock later in campaign or it would be very very expensive and time consuming (ingame) to swap engines and stuff, so you can't just willy-nilly min-max everything on the go.
