As far as graphics goes, EDF takes the old Serious Sam approach of sacrificing graphics and going for volume. Oh, new game on better hardware? Edit: Earth Defense Force is so much "RubixRaptor: The Game" that I'm slightly surprised he didn't already play EDF 4 or 5 sooner.

Great, just now i rewatch your Guys last crazy Adventure in the Faey Realm and now this new Video! Day is good. For me at least, not for you or the Ignis Corps probably... but for me. Thanks!
So i noticed you had trouble with ranger, while highest combat strength may be an exaggeration, he is easily the most adaptable character in the game, nothing beats a ranger with a shotgun and a long range weapon of choice An air raider dominates the long range support fight, and has vehicles, but will die when he comes into contact with things like green ants, and generally struggles without someone to split aggro from enemies Fencer dominates in most things, but is a pain in the ass to get used to, having inertia in every way, aiming, moving, even the guns themselves. He may be able to dash jump into heaven but he will slide for two city blocks upon hitting the ground afterwards. Wing diver is the best burst damage and easily the most mobile class, but has to be micromanaged to perfection with her energy gauge, and will basically fall out of the sky then die if you dont do it right.
Air raider with new drones easily outcompetes ranger in close combat - they just have no cooldown, but still struggles with air targets tho. Well, compared to ranger from 5, maybe ranger also got seriously buffed, that's the point of the story after all, I saw that Blazer already got unlocked at lvl 40, which I think was dlc exclusive lvl 100 in 5, might be wrong tho, and I haven't played as him yet.
@@ewg5511 Ranger just has more usability. Most of his underperforming weapons were buffed to competency, namely rocket launchers, and his shotguns have better range. Ranger is back to being jack of all trades instead of the mediocre master
6:53 the ranger IS the strongest class. . . late game, with the unlocks, and a skilled user. its capable of clearing entire maps and obliterating bosses
Strongest in terms of versatility atleast. A good AR and Launcher will get you through literally any mission with minimal effort (atleast in terms of prep)
He certaintly had the biggest oomph for the least amount of skill required in the EDF 5, now with backpack equipment he's probably even better, after playing through the 5th one with him first, I certaintly felt severe lack of alternatives for strong multi-target missiles and sniper rifles, besides Fencer other 2 classes are kinda finnicky when it comes to weapon choice for certain missions, and compared to ranger all classes suffered from lengthy reloads/cooldowns/recharges. But I can absolutely see him falling behind the other classes if the player is proficient enough with all of them. But at least he still not the weakest of the bunch, that was definetly wing diver, even tho she outperformed him in specific missions. Also i just started wing diver playthrough in EDF 6, and it feels like her flight capabilities got buffed, so maybe she's better now.
@@ewg5511 Ranger is good for beginners, but if you can master Fencer you become more agile than a WingDiver, more versatile than a ranger, and have almost as much destructive capacity as an Air raider
Wing diver is THE biggest damage dealer in the game. Its just very specialized. You unlock lvl15 plasma heavy canon that does more than 7000 dmg in aoe. Raijin while costing an absurd amount of energy is a lvl36 15000 dmg one shot rifle. Other classes do Not even have remotely the same damage. However wing diver is sometimes very difficult to use and only works best in special scenarios. Tbh all classes but ranger are specialist classes for different situations.
@@Corey91666 Single shot damage you mean, it's an unpractical meme, like Tempest and Air Tortoises are, but with Wing diver you also lose any ability to fight or flight during charging. Lvl 17 Tempest A1 - ~26000 damage, 40m AoE, vs Plasma Heavy Cannon's 25m AoE Tortoises are actually quite terrible, so I'm not even gonna bother with their stats. Air raider has higher dps without requiring you to wait for your energy core to recharge multiple times during charging and without losing mobility. Lvl 10 Autocannon B does 3600 dmg, reload is only 4s. Lvl 11 N2 Silent copter does 2500 (2 drones) dmg - has pretty much no reload, as drones go out and return very fast. Lvl 20 A6 Armed Multicopter does ~4500 dmg with all 6 drones, multitarget potential, they return quite fast. Lvl 27 A1 Minigun does ~11000 dmg, reloads 5s Lvl 38 A2 Minigun does ~24000 dmg, reloads 5s. And that's just gunships - single target damage, bombers are just as good. Artillery calls are on entirely different level: Lvl 20 Cannon B - 100.000 Damage, but they are as much of a meme as most of the strongest Wing Diver's weapons are, although they were quite usable in a lot of missions in EDF 5.

Great, just now i rewatch your Guys last crazy Adventure in the Faey Realm and now this new Video! Day is good. For me at least, not for you or the Ignis Corps probably... but for me. Thanks!
So i noticed you had trouble with ranger, while highest combat strength may be an exaggeration, he is easily the most adaptable character in the game, nothing beats a ranger with a shotgun and a long range weapon of choice
An air raider dominates the long range support fight, and has vehicles, but will die when he comes into contact with things like green ants, and generally struggles without someone to split aggro from enemies
Fencer dominates in most things, but is a pain in the ass to get used to, having inertia in every way, aiming, moving, even the guns themselves.
I think there might have been a BIG ANT somewhere in there
Russian badger and Rubix Raptor uploading at the same time is amazing.
That bird noise is not a bald eagle. It's a red-tailed hawk.
I recently learned that it is the hawk that makes that sound, not bald eagles.
Need more EDF 6 video... with how ridiculous the enemies are in later stage especially if playing in Hard mode
Lvl 17 Tempest A1 - ~26000 damage, 40m AoE, vs Plasma Heavy Cannon's 25m AoE
Tortoises are actually quite terrible, so I'm not even gonna bother with their stats.
Lvl 27 A1 Minigun does ~11000 dmg, reloads 5s
Lvl 38 A2 Minigun does ~24000 dmg, reloads 5s.
And that's just gunships - single target damage, bombers are just as good.
Artillery calls are on entirely different level:
Lvl 20 Cannon B - 100.000 Damage, but they are as much of a meme as most of the strongest Wing Diver's weapons are, although they were quite usable in a lot of missions in EDF 5.
10:17 that looks more like a normal drive in Australia
TIL Rubix watches the US CSB. Eagle screeches, Worker 1, and chemical spills!
