Nominate Your Local First Responders: Best point of contact at your department? What equipment does your department/responders need? Is there a specific brand of equipment your community uses as a combined effort with other local departments? Any other information you think we might find useful? Please send request to givingback@mnmillennialfarmer.com
Zach and Becky Johnson will assemble a panel of volunteers to review request a distribute donations accordingly.

Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

I watch your posts and am just floored at how technical farming has become and the breadth of knowledge you carry around in your head. Farming on this scale is fascinating. When I recall Mike Bloomberg saying how he could teach anyone to farm, I just think he needs to come out and spend a few days with you, and then challenge him to repeat what he said:
"I could teach anybody, even people in this room, to be a farmer. It's a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn."
I'm glad there are people as hard-working and dedicated as you and your family and team meeting America's agricultural needs. Thank you and please keep up the great work.

Pro tip: tie a three foot long piece of bright colored nylon rope to a GoPro you mount to equipment like that. Makes it more likely to find if it falls off and bonus: if you don't find it right then you'll find it wound up in the cultivator basket bearings next season!

If the magnet on the camera mount is "kinda" weak, get a really strong magnet and hook the the camera to it with a short lanyard. Prolly tears up the camera mount if you have too strong of magnet on it when you remove it. Big ass magnet with a handle to make it easy to pull off and to hold onto the camera if it falls off.

I am myself a farmer of a small pecan nut and raisin farm in RSA, the farmer grows the food, the processor makes it into a sellable product, then it gets packaged, trucked, stored, stocked and finally sold to you. If the farmer grows it, but no one else does their part, you still won't be able to buy any of the food...

The best way to keep the def nozzles working. Get get a weed sprayer with water in it and spray it through the little hole on the bottom of the nozzle. What happens is urea crystallizes in the signal line and causes it to trip.

      both animals are stubborn,

The problem with the def is the magnet 🧲 in side of tank of case is to high or it don’t have one at all usually it’s a very small black hole with a magnet inside that tells the handle it’s in the right hole. State law

I would have felt better if Jim had used a meter like this

      NCV testing is far safer.
