    Cool idea with mixing the flakes and pearls. You might get a little better results spraying a flake and the spraying pearl over the top of that. The flakes are more dominant than pearls so the pearl would need to be more on top. I played with that a few years ago on a test panel just to see if I could get a pearl essent over flake and it turned out kinda cool but it did change up the color so that’s why I didn’t go with it

    I like these vids, they're very motivating I was thinking about trying to paint my 1983 oldsmobile with rustoleum using a wagner turbine sprayer I used for dipping my cars years ago.

    I've heard the new it's not that new anymore Mazda red. They put silver in with the red paint and then a black in the clear to give it that real deepness. Have you ever tried just using the rustolium with hardener? Cheers Graham

      Yes they make a little can that you can get at tractor supply or you can also use automotive grade acrylic enamel hardener works well with Rustoleum Thanks for watching

    So when putting it over base is 25 or 50 gram needed when im applying it in the clear and do u need japan dryer

    • @WHITLEYAUTOWORKS
      @WHITLEYAUTOWORKS  Рік тому +3

      I would use Japan dryer in the base not in the clear and 2 bags 50g is recommended for most paint jobs to get good coverage for the least amount of coats thanks for watching

      @@lssleepers6464 depending on temp I generally wait 20 mins between coats of base 30 to 45 if it's a heavier coat then give everything an hr to settle before applying the clear I would wait a little longer on between coats with the clear and if your doing more than 3 coats of clear wait up to an hr between coats to be safe but generally you really just have to gauge the tack on everything touch the paper and make sure it's not coming off on your finger is a great indicator as well

    Does rustoleum offer Deep sea blue ?

    • @WHITLEYAUTOWORKS
      @WHITLEYAUTOWORKS  10 місяців тому +1

      Closest you can get to that in rustoleum paint would be navy blue in the quarts at Lowe's or home Depot if you want the Pearl effect you would have to get the deep sea blue pearl and add a clear coat or you can get an automotive paint that matches that color hope this helps and thanks for watching
