I DON'T Remember as I am NOT THAT OLD; But I Loved Seeing THE WOLFMAN weekly on the "SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIAL" Television Show!
😂
.
Wasn't he on WNBC?
I always made it a point to listen to The Wolfman Jack Show on qfm96 in Columbus. And now 67 years old still love this song along with many others from The Guess Who. My first take player was an 8-track and I had the 8-track of one of the guess who's best hits.
Chula Vista California
All You Guys Thought She Was Digging You But She Was Digging Me! Haha! Ahooooo!
I'm 60 and our son is 21 and everytime he hasn't shaved for a week, I clap my hands and he knows the song I'm going to break into. RIP Wolfman Jack
😅😅😅😅😅
Love it! I'm doing this song in a second for my ma for Mother's Day on the clock app. 😂 This, Rockin' Pneumonia &Takin' Care of Business.
❤ that 😂
Ok, Burt Reynolds Playgirl 1973
I miss Wolfie
Just played this 3x in a row. I wad a kid when the song was released. Now it's 07/2023. The band should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Bachman/Cummings in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Generation X kid here, born June 18, 1967. I loved the 1970's! Hello from Tyler Texas!
Wait…. The Guess Who isn’t ALREADY in the R&R HOF??? That’s crazy. Who t f is making these decisions?
I love them more than I can ever express.
Having been a guitarist since '68 I can't help but smile a little at the gear the band uses and the time frame in which the recording was made. Gotta love it!
I couldn't carry a tune if it was strapped onto my back - but I love the 70's and the 80's - and the talent is extremely high
I am 82 and I STILL play this video about once a week ‼️ It has been in my Top 10 for decades now, I LOVE IT STILL. ❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Still listening to this at 82 years old. Much respect. I’m 56 and listen to this song quite a bit.
I'm listening at 22... music really does bring generations together... they deserve to be in the hall of fame
60 myself, and have liked it ever since it came out in late '74.
You are AWESOME !!! Keep rockin 💯
When I'm 64! Loved this back then
Wolfman Jack....America lends its lonely Eyes to the legend....R.I.P.
Wolfman was the GOAT. His voice just makes me laugh in respect to his unique sound.
Yes, he was. Loved Wolfman Jack!
Only song of the Guess Who that I really liked.
@@robertmurphy440 The Wolfman was truly a class act. The Greatest DJ ever RIP WOLFMAN JACK, THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL MEMORIES
One of the finest voices in rock history
Absolutely. Can't hit the real high notes anymore but he gets damned close
Easily
I agree. Are you talking about Burton or the Wolfman?
Here comes the Wolfman, right on time 👍
Where?
Just a fantastic 70’s song. The best decade ever of music....the 70’s. Kudos to those who comment that not every song has to have deep meaning. This is a great song. Clap for the 70’s!!
The Wolfman brought the magic of the music masses making it available to everyone willing to listen.
He took up hours days weeks months and years even a decade or two of my time at this rate a Century will pass and Wolfman will still be played as long as I am around.
👍👍
Mid 60's to mid 70's was the best 10 years of music. Late 70's was pretty lame
Have to agree with that.

This song is the first song I ever bought on 45 vinyl. Such a classic. It brings me back to my youth every time I listen.
Long live Burton and The Guess Who. 🇨🇦🎶🎸
Man as a 57 year old guy I loved this song as a kid in the 70's and also a fan of Midnight Special, thanks so much for posting this.

I'm old as dirt and Everytime I feel blue I play this & I immediately feel happy ☺️ thanks Guess Who & RIP Wolf Man Jack!!😢
Part of coming of age in the seventies was listening to Wolf Man Jack on AM.
This is the epitome of cool. The song and the band are just cool AF
I was fortunate to have grown up in this era of music and still enjoy it
I never get tired of this song. Decided to search this after seeing Wolfman on "American Grafitti" last night!
I'm 83 and still diggin'on this classic.
At 70 years young I am with you brother, Greatness NEVER dies!! Unless the youngbloods go back they will never know! In the 70's in North San Diego county the Wolfman and XERV Ruled!
59 and still digging it !!!!!!! A++++
68 and still digging And there will never be another like the legendary Wolfman Jack. Would listen to him when ever I could back them.
I'm 64 & still those carefree days of "74.They don't make these type of songs anymore when I was turning 14.
Such a GREAT song. Where are songs like this nowadays?
ON UA-cam BROTHER. THANK GOD FOR UA-cam
When he died, our local radio station in Ames,IA,played this in tribute.
Many stations did.
This band had so many good tunes it’s insane.
And NOT in the hall of fame!
@@unclefuggly7149 That's criminal
And up in Canada, CANADA of all places, the local rock radio station only plays the American cover of this tune as recorded by Lenny Kravitz. I hang my head in shame. Fucking iHeartRadio.
It was 1974, I was 24 and felt as free as could be. Hearing this again I feel this again.
was winnipeg. for 15 yeras...they are the best marketing vehicle..been to theirconcerts..great vibe..
I hear you! I was 19 and living it up at Daytona Beach with My girl friend and her loving family! ( I later married her in 76') 💒💑❤❤
@@garychambers5850 Well done. Good for you!
❤️ this 1970s legendary sing
Im 30. Found this cassette at a thrift store about 7 years ago and have played it about 400 times.
The best & Canadian rock band. I am 74 and still listen their songs on my old Pioneer turntable. Burton Cummings had the finest voices in rock band by far in the 70s.
There will never be another Wolfman.
Burton Cummings has one of the most unique voices ever. He's a vocal chameleon.
He's fantastic Zachary, and under rated and under appreciated. Like 'Star Baby' this song is also a clever, brilliant fusion of the '50s & the '70s.
Burton is the best
Burton Cummings and the Guess Who were amazing in the '70s and still are today!!
Of course... any band out of Winnipeg that made it has something really special....
I'm a fan of Canadian rock and Winnipeg really has something from back in the day... BTO... Neill Young just crushed it and still going... wow
Burton was never dull. Clothes, hair, performance/entertainer, song writer, best SOUL vocalist in my opinion. I wish I would have met him. No chance from this AMERICAN WOMAN!
What a great song, listening now 50 years later it went over my head at the time.
Nobody can write a tune like this anymore!
The lyrics are absolute genius. How did they ever put this together?
The Guess Who captured the true spirit of that time with this song.
The 70 s what a treasure trove of awesome f n music
The best Canadian Group ever.
Nostalgia can be very dangerous and this is dangerous and I love it.
God I love your comment!
❤️ 1970s ,music ,, greatest music ever
Dangerous in Which Way?
Are you suggesting our Fond Memories cause us to Act Stupidly?
Curious...
I am 44 and finally had a chance to see burton at the Windsor casino and I was blown away at how good he can still preform
It's better to be preformed than postformed, I suppose.
Love this song..never get tired of it! Timeless!!!
Oh Absolutely!!👍✌️
Did not know this was by Guess Who. This band is ridiculously versatile!
The Guess Who are the greatest!! 🎶
An amazing group, indeed!
Love the differences. Loved Undone, Stand Tall, These Eyes, Hoedown, American Woman (written while performing), Share the Land, and everything else.
@@nancymcconnell7973 Yeah, I knew them for American Woman, but their other songs sound so different, especially These Eyes, Undone and this song.
@@nancymcconnell7973 *undun
I remember hearing this on the radio back in '74, when I was only seven years old. Simpler times.
I was a teenager but I know what you mean dude.
Yep,the wolf mam was a big in the 70s always have fun with him on FM stations... I'm 62 now and yes you needed to see him for promotion of your band...
You can’t remember the 70s without the Guess Who
That's a fact.

One of the best the
Bands ever to come from Canada.
Yep,only Rush is better.
@Harry Browneigh these eyes are crying.
@Harry Browneigh dude,cone on
You didn't recognize These Eyes from the Guess Who.
Anyway,Now that I'm remembering,,
The Guess Who are the best band.
@Harry Browneigh cool.
Not Rush or April Wine?? Or Triumph?? Or...
I was 17 y/o teenage guy when this came out on the radio during my high school years in Lodi California and dig this song in my mind with Wolfman Jack performing in the background and getting into it. This song stuck to my mind from then to now in 2022.
This video sucks!!
I was around 10 and never tired of hearing this on my transistor radio
I,m 74 and I still listen to this song
Did you know Bridget Marquardt?
@@quincywho I don't know her. I went to Lodi High school from 1972-1976.
Released in June '74, making this song 50 years old! 🐺🧔♀ Love The Guess Who! 💗🍁
Man only if I could go back to these days..
The episode will always be a staple of my childhood. I hope my vhs tapes still work.
This is one of my favorite jams my dad would play for me! It sparked my love for Wolfman Jack!
I was 13 and living in DETROIT when I first heard this song and just assumed it was a Black group singing. I was shocked when The CKLW announcer said it was THE GUESS WHO. I never heard BURTON CUMMINGS sound this way.
CKLW mmmm giving away your age - the big 800
GREAT performances
Whenever I hear that song it takes me back to Germany when I was in the Army. I would hear it on Armed Forces Radio. Thank for the memories.
I'm still clapping for the Wolfman.
God rest the Wolfman what a super cool dude he was. Love and miss ya Wolfman. And thanks to this really awesome band who I love as well.
Wolfman Jack invented "COOL" and the Guess Who were great to pay such deserved tribute with a song that will never be out of style....never!!
LOVE that drummers jacket
Love this song and had to play it for Halloween October 2023! It's very cool! RIP Wolfman, Randy Newman!❤😂
Wolfman Jack was a hoot.... When he died my kids and I drove around in our Chevette and listened to his radio shows... Had a ball!
What an underrated group. Or maybe I’m just saying that because it brings back so many memories
No man, these guys are legit. Seriously
They were very popular overseas.
This brings back so many great memories. Thanks
What a great tune ,.
These guys are still legendary!!😊
Love the Wolfman, always! RIP
Songs you can sing to are priceless.
Love this band....Burton Cummings has a awesome voice....
Hello Puppy. How are you doing?
The Guess Who lifted my spirit from my freshman through senior high school years.
I love this group of musicians..
Thank you Earle Bailey for turning me onto this tune on the "Deep Tracks".
an oldie but definetly a goodie. Great way to start the day off......
still one of the best Canadian rock bands.
I'm in my 40s and still love this classic band.
I grew up listening to classics like this with
my father on the good old AM rock stations.
Phenomenal music that no one today can emulate!
Young enough to watch this live on The Midnight Special. Great Vocalist!
This is just one of the greatest songs, fun all around
I'm 57 now and I grew up in the 70's listening to this on AM radio along with other Guess Who
songs and every other 70's groups and artists miss the Rock n Pop bands from that era.
USED TO HEAR THIS WHEN I WAS A KID, THINGS WERE SO COOL AND MUCH BETTER BACK THEN. IT WAS ABOUT THE TIME I GOT MY FIRST BELL BOTTOM JEANS WITH THE PEACE PATCH. I HAD TO HAVE BEEN ALL OF 13 OR 14. GREAT TIME TO BE ALIVE BACK THEN.
I miss the 70s too. Everything was great back then, except for the bell bottoms. Now that I'm older, I would go back and wear the bell bottoms.
Yep, we're about the same age and it was way cool.
Another great old song I forgot existed and hadn't heard for decades before I rediscovered it here on UA-cam just now!
Maybe this was intended to be a novelty record, but compared with a lot of that other 70s crud, this rocks like an earthquake! RIP, Wolfman.
These guys got pipes like angels.
Back then we took all this music for granted … we were spoiled ..
So much talent.
I’m gonna dig this band til the day I die.
My Dad played this song a lot when I was a kid. Burton Cummings such an amazing singer.
Fine music ❤
This is 50 years old....
Y're getting old when you have memories on this super song
Great, great, great!!!i am 71years old and i feel 18years old when i hear this song

2024 in July at 52 reminiscing in the past. Love this tune
I bought this 45 single back in 1974 in Palmerston North New Zealand when I was 13 and still have it. It came out on RCA in New Zealand.
Yeah Paul,I got my copy in Hamilton in 1974 as well, and you know I'm talking about New Zealand, haha

'Road Food' is not a bad flips side either, love the lyrics...
Road food
Jollywood, jollywood, chippa chippa chee chee
Road food
Drag queens, rhumba boogie, grabbin' for the prime time
Road food
Bonafide, certified women in the washroom
Road food
Better have a whiskey so I'll feel all right.
@@PaulLea Nobody talks about the flipside. I thought Road Food was great!! I finally got a used copy of the lp in excellent condition a year ago. Star Baby the other single was great too!! 😎😎😎
