I’m thoroughly impressed with your dedication to making great Catfish videos! Best fishing videos on UA-cam! I look forward to every upload! Thank you Justin!
I must be one of the three left watching you mentioned. I paused your video to take care of my wife. Worth the wait! Nice fish man. Tight lines and sunny skies bud.
That blue cat on the fly is amazing! Congrats Justin. I know you were thrilled and it spilled over from the video out to all of us watching. I'm stoked for you.
You should see if there are any people that bow fish around your area, I bowfish fish in Arkansas and shoot plenty of red horse. I bet most bow fishermen would be willing to give you some for bait. I usually have trouble figuring out how to get rid of them all lol.
I watch and love your shows all the way to the very end. Nice job. Nice informative discussion as well. Thank you for the effort you expend to provide such enjoyable viewing! ❤
I am number two of three watching. Those were some amazing catfish. The sumo on the jig was amazing, you have me sold on a jig below the suspended bait. Great video
I've watched this multiple times but didn't have time to comment. AWESOME 👊 👊 pump whopper!!! Congrats man! Love when you get those big fish, they make your day and ours. Great video Justin, as always. Have a blessed night.
WOW!! WOW!! What a TANK on that FLY!! Fantastic video and BIG CAT"S!! Great VIDEO & AUDIO I could hear that Bass boat coming and the detail on the camera was GREAT!! Thanks for a GREAT Show!!
Sometimes, you just have to stop and enjoy the fruit of all your labor, especially with a sumo size cat, even if another rod is going down. Very nice catch on the fly. Thanks for taking us on another adventure. Congratulations on the pb fly catch.
Justin, I am going to have to say that the big blue on the fly, has to be the biggest Catfish you have caught in a couple of years. Glad you brought us along . Keep them rods bent.
Heck of a testament to the quality of those flys to get that big girl in on it. Ive bought a few packs and they arent very big hooks. This video is a phenomenal endorsement and sure as heck put me at ease over that concern
Ah man I need me a catch here soon, you got me jealous. Have skunked at least 5 outings in a row now, it is nice to get outside on nice days tho. Andddd today my catfish sumo rod snapped in half trying to get out of a bush lol. Thankfully they are a great company and is sending me a new one free of charge :) awesome video Justin, that thing was a beast
Justin, someone from area code 423 is messaging me like it's you! I know better! I do know that area code, I have a lot of family around Nickajack area. I am not going to answer it because I know better! Just thought I would say something. I love your videos. I pray someday I can bring my catfish Cadillac to Tennessee! 17' flatbottom , with 85 jet drive, me and my late father in law built together, our dream was to fish the Tennessee River together on it. He passed 2012. 😭😭
Have you ever used live eel for bait? I fish the nuese and capefear rivers in nc and I can't find a better bait for a flathead or a blue. Any bait shops around you have them?
@KayakCatfish I might would see if you can find a vendor who sells them online, even if they are frozen. The old timers around here that have fished the nuese since they where youngens all use live eel. Most of them set about 24-48 bush hooks a day with a whole 1ft+ live eel on each one and maybe a bluegill or 2 whole on a few. I've seen so many monsters pulled out of them rivers and they all get caught on eel. They may react different to eel out your way, but I'd definitely try it, who knows may be a secret sauce that could help you kick Ryan's butt at the next tournament.🤣
The suckers, about all species of suckers, they like the riffles or just below the riffle area at the head of a hole, shallower water and use red worms, red wigglers or night crawlers. This time of year they should be near the head of a hole, getting ready to move up into the riffles, some may even be on in the riffles right now. I wouldn’t fish over 15-20 foot deep for them and that may be too deep still..? Just a little info for you about suckers, if’n you want to know Hoss! 👍👍✌🏻, I meant to say too, find you the smaller tributaries that empties into the Tennessee and follow that up until you see a riffle or what you think looks like a riffle, if you ain’t using a rod & reel to fish for them, then throw your castnet in riffles and just at the end of a riffle at the head of the hole, but you should be able to get some suckers in and around there somewhere, either Redhorse, white suckers and hog suckers or maybe a combination of all but the white suckers would be the more predominant species.
No way to know for sure. I have caught enough cats on a jig while livescoping them to believe they will readily hit an artificial if it’s in their face though.
You're trip man😅 always telling us to keep an eye on your rods while you look away for a second but, i don't know if you realize that once you loom away your camera follows you lol
How deep do you need to fish to use this straight drop down off the side of the kayak method? I imagine if the water was only 5 feet deep and you were suspending 2 feet off the bottom, fish are going to be spooked with the kayak so close. What about 10 ft deep? Or 15? What's the word?
I've caught some golly whopper blues on red horse suckers myself on the Ohio River. I know you didn't much care for the Ohio but I have had decent luck on it.

Nice one, dang close to hooking in the mouth too!
That will sell those flys you should get a million
That blue cat rolling in your line on the surface made me laugh so hard 😂
That blue cat on the fly is amazing! Congrats Justin. I know you were thrilled and it spilled over from the video out to all of us watching. I'm stoked for you.
I generally watch your videos to the end Justin! I enjoy your comments and excitement so much. Thanks

I started stergeon fishing in 1979 and you could not beat suckers for bait. Fishies be loving them suckers!
Justin said..."AND IM DEFINITELY not running any planer boards!!" Ooooooh....shots have been fired!!!! 😂
Who might he have fired those at 😂

I dont know about other people. But i like when you use different types of bait.
Another super exciting episode! I enjoyed every bit till the very end.
Great day of fishing and what a nice haul. Always makes my day when you're on them like that. Pretty good quality of fish.

Congrats man! What a great session. That big blue on the fly. There aren't many, if any other youtube fishos that consistently catch such large fish.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Keith!
@@KayakCatfish everyone in my house has a high fever so my trip to Catcon was canceled.

Money at it again. Congrats on the big blue. Looked like a great day on the water. Stay safe Justin

What an awesome trip Justin great job! You have to be making more and more believers of the fly! I am sure a believer

That was one of the biggest blues I've ever seen anyone catch, nice job man. 😁
I liked the video the other day and forgot to say anything!! Awesome gollywhopper!!! 👊!!! Great video!!!

Hey I enjoy watching u fish plus learning new tricks. I was wondering what do u use to sharpen your fillet knife. That seems crazy sharp
I use cheap bait knives. When one goes dull, I just get a new one.
Great video and great fishing you all must needed a second kayak for that catfish want do you think it weighted
Thanks Duey - must admit I was a bit skeptical the first time I saw that rig. Go Justin - you're on an awesome run.
Thanks JP!
If you dont mind me asking what gear did you use in this video?
All my gear is listed in the video description
@@KayakCatfish ok thank you i just found them

Congratulations on catching the gollywhopper Justin ! 😯 That was an awesome fish ! That bait stealer is what I usually catch ! 😢
I’m one of three mentioned also, living the fishing dream through you
Congratulations on that beast. Never seen anyone release a fish and recatch the same fish so fast either.
That makes sense.. I was meat cutter for 17 years so I like sharp knife. Thanks

Hi, im new to fishing, but i was wondering, arent you supposed to have loose drag and not tight like yours was so your line doesnt snap?
It depends on how heavy your line is. I use 40lb test so there is no fear of snapping with a tighter drag.
Love the content keep it up.
Great Day In The Dang Mornin', What A TANK!

Down here in Bama we call those slobberlips. Those are some great fish you’ve caught on this video.
What kind of kayak u using I kinda like the deep pocket u sit in

We will call you the tennessee kid, the catfish cowboy 🤠. Out there lassoing fish 😂

Amazing video sucker is a Premium bait here in my waters to it always out preforms shad and bluegill here stay safe great video justin
I know you have caught a lot of fish On the fly, but i have to believe this is what Dewy was talking about. Heck yeah.
I'm waiting on you to catch a GollyWhopper when you're on spot n stalk with a jig. Also want to see a flathead fishing like that.
I keep waiting for it too. I just don’t see the big ones up very often
Ken Sr. Said, "he's got a rock in his pocket" 😂😂😂

Talking about slime reminds me of the old movie Ghostbusters
I haven’t seen that move in years. I need to rewatch it.

Are the carpfishing videos coming back? I miss them
Yes, I will be doing some more this spring

I bought a shakespeare tiger 7 medium spinning reel and rod combo what test line should I get
20-50lb mono or 60-100lb braid depending on the size of fish you are going after

Thanks Cody!
👊👊 worthy right there
Those fly catches are crazy. You think they just want the fly or they just hit it before they hit the bait?
No way to know for sure. I have caught enough cats on a jig while livescoping them to believe they will readily hit an artificial if it’s in their face though.

15-20 feet is the shallowest I will suspend baits. Any shallower than that, I prefer other techniques.
Justin what a gollywhopper on the jig head
The Sumo fly sales have just skyrocketed. lol
I've caught some golly whopper blues on red horse suckers myself on the Ohio River. I know you didn't much care for the Ohio but I have had decent luck on it.
What size screen is your live scope
9 inch
Today is the day my friend. PB catfish 😊!!!
Pretty big creek!
3:35am Watching Justin Kayak Catfish !
What did you end up doing about your motor ?
I got a new one
Nice!👍
With the preference toward suckers… maybe it’s the equivalent to grass fed vs corn fed in the fish world lol
A nice catfish
This is 3rd comment I've tried to leave UA-cam keeps rejecting them is there a way to reach you on your website
Woohoo!! That was a double golly whopper tank fist bump worthy monster!
Thanks Will!
I'm one of the three still watching
Just wondering why you only use bait casting rods for cats and not big spinning rods also why don't you use the tail of your baits?
Just a personal preference
How long between bits
I was on the water 5 hours total
What a monster
Big ole tank
I didn`t catch how much do you think he weighed?
I don’t guesstimate weights. It has never mattered to me.
Man Charter is taking you to the woodshed. Ouch.
U ever have dreams about fishing? I fish alot and always have good dreams about fishing.
I never remember them
What’s a catfish that size weight? 60 pounds?
Had to be a channel cat. Lol
I think you owe your friend Dewey a steak dinner after catching that tank on the fly.
Feel the burn
That is a beast!!!! Double fist pump worthy!!!!!
Hell of a fish......
That one was a biggin
It’s crazy how am out of breath watching and am not even the one reeling it in lol. That thing was 8inches short of being the length of the canoe.
