She gained as much power from him as possible then was going to cast him aside - we champions simply proved the *dagger* with which to do it. I also find it that the two golden-eyed Elves - Azshara and Illidan - were transformed into much more powerful "monsters". Time remains to be seen if Azshara is going to do what Illidan does, use her power against the actual enemy. Have we had a face off of Illidan and Azshara ever? You can almost use every line Illidan has used and give it to Azshara. "I would have sacrificed them all [for the power] to stop the Legion!" ; "Sometimes the hand of fate must be forced." ; "There can be no Chosen One" ; "I've had my destiny forced on me before..." ; etc. Azshara did sacrifice her people to the Legion for more power, the same as Illidan sacrificed them to stop the Legion. He brought Argus to us because he was tired of half measures, and Azshara brought Najzatar to us (which also goes along with "there can be no Chosen One" because she uses us to defeat N'zoth). Along those lines, she could also be bringing the Void to us. Whatever her role is, her and Illidan share a great deal in common.
Nzoth let her do it and let himself get trapped in the dagger, he was only trying to get xalath out of it, and find someone who would put him in it. The reason being there would be a fate worse than the old gods or the burning legion, and nozdormu saw it in cataclysm
Or rather murozond in the end time had already seen it, when we fight him in cata. It's mentioned murozond was hiding in the end time, time pocket. It's never explained who or what he was hiding from. But he seemed to be worried about something else entirely, unrelated to deathwing or the old gods
Void stuff in wow lore at is basically "anything goes" at this point. It's a narrative free-for-all. The writers keep it vague and confusing so they can make it fit whatever they need it to when it's convenient. This is partially why BFA was so bizarre and dull near the end. If anything, I hope that we have a Light/Void expansion soon just so this stuff can be solidified once and for all, and we can finally *get past it* and onto better things.
Honestly we are not going to get a Light/Void expansion. It wouldn’t make sense… There are no major powerful void characters that could threaten Azeroth by themselves.

Attenuation, for starters. Azshara didn't free N'Zoth with Old God Powers, she did it by using Titan magic on a Titan system. Same theory should apply to Xal'Atath and Old Gods.

N'zoth whooshing her away into the darkness was the last we saw of her - she might come back some day, she might not. I doubt he would kill her outright, seems more likely she's imprisoned somewhere as punishment for betraying him.

Giving yourself limitations "helps" the eye to keep its idea to the found thoughts. without its extreme one could fade like the rest. Making a pocket in its pressure of the void and fire the legion. Us fighting in its direction. We all know of it's so it survives regardless of the time.

i realy hate this part of warcarft.... cus the makes the powerlvl of evrything seems pointless eg the Titans cloud do nothing but to put the old gods in badly build prisson, and we/a dragon killed them/one with a dagger!!!!! is the Titans that week/stupid?
Such a shame they dumbed-down the story and all the interations. The are some great bits in the lore and some silly ones. But overall it just comes off so childish.
Too much involvement of "the champion"/the player in all these cinematics etc. They wanted to make you feel as if you were a part of the story, but at the same time made it so meaningless as everyone is "the champion".

I dont think N'zoth is on the sidenof the Void Lords anymore. I think he's doing an Overmind, using us as his way out of the Void.
