when will you be allowed to release more?

+HexxiumGamingYT Hell to the yes...
+Tech of Tomorrow Hello sir!
11:16 he calls it the "beautiful 1080p" lol. Am I the only one who noticed?
nope I laughed when he said that. that is why I would have not named it the 1080.
+Billy 1080p killer baby
+russrt spooling Going on with a different naming scheme would be more confusing I think.
Look at that beautiful majestic creature...so angular, so fascinating!
...Oh yeah, and the GTX 1080 too.
+FR3AKSH0W LOL
+FR3AKSH0W

+HitManHey well he can hope :P
+HitManHey I don't think it's the 1080 he wants :P
Jonathan Wakeford I've just watched that too.

+Tech of Tomorrow What happened to NDA? lol
+Lulijana Jakova I asked and they said I could, so I did.
+Tech of Tomorrow what do u think we should buy this refrence one or wait for some custom..
+Tech of Tomorrow what 'bout the 1070? C'mon show some love for us 'poor people' as well!
+DJ Jesus. He Died for your spins that was the problem last time we showed so much of love to 970 and got 3.5 gb vram...this time trying to spend more and get a good butterly smooth card
Here is the difference between the Founders Edition card and the others. Founders Edition Cards will be sold by board partners and are made of thee highest quality components and are at a fixed clock speed that cannot be changed by the partners. Non Founders Edition card will be made by the various partners and will feature after market cooling as well as lower priced models at $599.00 that are made of less quality components and be clocked lower or higher depending on the model...
+Tech of Tomorrow I think it's worth mentioning that (at least from what JayZsTwoCents said) the Founder's Edition cards are not cherry-picked; they cost more than the standard edition so that NVIDIA isn't directly competing with their board partners, but can still directly service the OEM market. And, of course, everyone says their components are the best.
blow away all the previous nvidea gpus with both gtx 1080 and 1070! that will be hard to beat hopefully amd has something to challenge nvidea with 14nm Polaris. we are talking 1/8th smaller fab hope that means something.
+Tech of Tomorrow Where can I sell my graphic card at?
Dark 211 ebay, craigslist, and there are some websites that offer computer hardware classifieds specifically. You just gotta look around.
you probably would have gotten more views if the title was I HAVE A GTX 1080!
Cant wait to have the 1080P! @11:15
+stimp3413 lol
for a single card the gtx 1080 would be wasted on 1080p gaming witch i didnt think id say that til gtx 1180. thats probably why 1080p 165hz monitors exist. what game would drive the fps under 100 with the gtx 1080 in 1080p?
+Rudis true
+Rudis I disagree because there are already a lot of cards that can easily max out games at 1080p. Considering the 980(ti) is wasted at 1080p this would be more so.
+Rudis you realize the difference between cinematography and gaming right? They use completely different cards. They use compute cards with floating point that is through the roof because they use more than 4 cards. Rendering one frame from the avengers movie (because movie frames are already rendered and put into the disk or data for streaming) probably took over a minute even on their computers meant for it. Thus the reason we DON'T have games that look like the avengers is because you just compared apples and oranges with complete different methods of content production. I can tell you that on a dual 12 core Xeon with a 970 a 4k picture takes over 4 minutes to render, add grass and it crashes the computer. Do some research on your topic before you argue a point, it's easy to tell you don't have experience in the field based on the ignorant comment you made.
2:14 correction "28nm" not 22nm
thoughts exacly.
TheVanillatech lmfao lolol im dying here.
TheVanillatech go look at RANDOMFRANKP showed tech under 50, shit RGB lighting & useless review etc. i don't blamed them from earn a living thru youtube or amazon affiliate link or massdrop for some kick ass in return. too many noob believe what they said. their review is totally too bias & unrealistic. i followed them & watch for entertainment but i won't trust a single shit from them. same goes to other youtubers like linustechtips, jayztwocents, etc all bullshit crap pay by sponsorship & simply declared this thang will be my daily driver. c'mon~ apparently those 40~100k subscriber youtube reviewers also follow this kinda pattern. review should describe the unfold story & dig the more technical stuff not just review on paper. i can read it myself & see with my naked eyes. they like to said the mouse come with omron switches but the problem is the mouse really use omron switches? did u dismantle out the whole products? engineering sample is totally different with the store products. this GPU benchmark gave us the highest score but in real life the gaming is not smooth at all. benchmark is a gimmick score & didn't bring real life performance at all. benchmark is just a tool to push the h/w to the limit but didn't prove anything during game play scenario.
+TheVanillatech you're an idiot and not even in the same class as he is. You're an embarrassment to your own parents.
Only a few days late! xD
I've been checking every day to hear your opinion on this absolute beauties!
*these
This VR thing is so forced.. let it die already...
Porn.
+Frank Potter you will believe, one day, my son.
+Draxis 870_ (Draxis870) yea just like the connect
+Draxis 870_ (Draxis870) just a joke. About how connect was being forced down everyones throats for a couple of years then failed. I could care less either way VR goes.
Man your videos are just so down to earth and casual. You don't sound fake like some of the other guys haha, just super chill. Keep up the good work!! Love them tech vids.
11:15 ''Thats everything I can tell you about the 1080P'' lol :)
I got the feeling many will say that out of habit.
i was gonna build a new pc in few days, good thing i heard about this cards. guess i am gonna wait like a month and see what reviewers has to say about GTX 1080
Same here. I have bought rest of the computer parts on sale. Just waiting on the 1080 now:)
9:10 There's no need to sugar-coat it,
No-one in there right mind should be buying a top of the line Fury or Fury pro at the moment. I'm running a Fury pro and doubt I'll be moving to the 1070 or 1080 even though both will be faster because AMD have been providing excellent driver support this year and my Sapphire Tri-x is performing faultlessly so there's no rush.
However if I did not own a Fury and needed a new card I wouldn't choose one over either of these cards.
+nasha thedog The current line of 28nm cards aren't meant to compete with these cards. That's what Vega 10 is for later this year (rumours point to October release of a 14nm Fury card).
+theTOOLshed1 You're right, You can't expect them to compete when you have a generation jump with a die shrink. I don't know how true these recent rumours of Vega being brought forward are but let's hope it is true as AMD left the 970 and 980 unanswered for a good 6 months which cost them and they can't afford to do the same again with the 1070 and 1080.
nasha thedog Yeah, in all honesty, I have to agree with you. I wish AMD would have an answer to Nvidia's cards sooner but it looks like AMD will have an effective monopoly on the mainstream gpu market first at least.
I'm one of the people who enjoys taking in game screen shots, and I just wanted thank INVDIA publically for having the foresight for implementing the "Ansel" feature on their new 1080 card. You guys have made thousands of people like myself very happy with this new feature. If game developers are smart they will start implementing this feature in their games for no other reason than to get free advertising when a screen shot of their game is posted on "Flickr" or "Steam" Did you get that developers? ( FREE ADVERTISING. )
I know you've tested this graphics card and aren't allowed to say much about it. But when will you show us the benchmarks?
+Hasham Shaheen 17th
I just hope they aren't a let down. If the reality was 85% of Nvidia's hype machine, I'd be impressed
+Tech of Tomorrow pls DAD, just tell me is it worth a upgrade from 980Ti? so that i know if i need to sell it or not
+Holymoly s I've heard its faster than every other card
Great video and as always great music. Lol, I couldn't get the image of The Harley out of my mind, stopping at a BBQ bar getting a beer lol.
I have amd at the moment....but saving for 1080.
+Smeg head I'm gonna get the 1070 cuz I haven't got billions to spend :P
I love what you did at 2:40 showing the picture so that we could understand it better. I'd love to see you do this more often in your videos for us (well, me) to understand better since 1) I don't know too much about computers and 2) I'm a visual learner. Thanks
+aaron brooks Thanks for the comment...
I would not buy it now. would wait for actual comparison benchmarks against current gen stuff and for the aftermarket cards coming in a few months rather than buying a reference card.
i will wait for 3 years to buy the materials to make a pc
+sparda9060 imho just wait for AMD's Polaris shit to come out and then it will be clear what to buy xD (also Nvidia will drop prices pretty at the time)
Cmon UA-cam, I can't do no 4K
+Arjun Vinod Bummer
Awesome video dude, you rock! 8-]
+Tech Showdown Thanks my man
4 gpus in Crysis 3 worked miracles though
Great video..I look forward to benching this bad boy :)
+sloppywetblow Being you, I know it will be great :D. Looking forward to it too ;)
Thanks buddy :)
+sloppywetblow Plan to SLI?
Most definitely
only one thing you missed. you said they couldn't go past duel sli. You can go 3 way or 4 way but have to get them registered online through the manufacturer to unlock it
It starts at 0:39
The most informative and knowledge-based early lunch review so far. Tnx
you said 1080p at the end lol
This is such perfect timing. I am in the process of building a PC and I was gonna get a 970 on my birthday, which is June 4th, and then this gets announced. looks like im getting a 1070!
My bdays june 6 and I was gonna upgrade to a 780ti but 1070?? Yesss
dude the release date is june 10th
i'm waiting for sword art online :)
+Ubya totally... its coming
Yesssss
👍
+Ubya gonna be waiting a looooong time
I clicked to vid hoping for benchmarks
Everything you need to know??!
Your vid is misleading
agree
+2daih4 Its nothing he can do. everything is in NDA (non-disclosure agreement), until the actual specs come out, he cant do anything.
+2daih4 You didn't know that the NVIDIA tells them to not do full review because of NDA, why do you want to know the benchmark so fast that it hasn't even released to customers yet? And yes "Everything you need to know" is kinda misleading little bit but you can't go look up every channel on what's GTX 1080 benchmark.
+2daih4 I agree too.
Benchmarks are the number one thing I want to know.
+Matthew Kiernan he can name his video better...
Adam for WWE Creative
2:40 - Elric, you are bit wrong here, HBM is a faster memory than GDDR technology BUT the problem is HBM is very much costly and not too fit for the consumer market. Some optimized version of HBM for desktops will be a better move from AMD...
lol faster than titan X.... in vr. the key is in vr. nvidia, always trying to trick us
+Tautau the bice yeah its was 25% faster in 3dMARK if its true. www.techspot.com/news/64719-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-3dmark-performance.html
+Tautau the bice I do not know where you are getting this wrong information from, but you are wrong those words were never said at the show...
o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/midas/a93ad15d3bd4f03312293b8e601f0431/203788441/NVIDIA+GTX1080+event+1.jpg Tech of Tomorrow whats this then? witchcraft!
Thought I'd make a quick correction. Maxwell, like Kepler, was actually still 28nm, making Pascal's jump to 16nm even more significant. Easy mistake to make since Haswell was 22nm.
Is it me or he does looks like a WWE superstar??
+Saxon Myx lol
+Saxon Myx Goldberg
+Tech of Tomorrow Wow tech of tomorrow replied me this is one awesome day o0o
+Saxon Myx no its napa from DBZ
More subs pls, you make great videos, more interesting than any other UA-camr from technology i ever seen, you has the enthusiasm in the videos like a kid when discover something new, your face is happy when you do the videos, that's is different to the other people, I'm waiting for your million of subs :D
I saw you in kyle from awesomesaucenetwork's vlog of the Nvidia event and decided to spend some time looking for what you've been doing since I last saw you. I haven't seen your videos since back when you did motherboards .org (Sucks what they did to you by the way). Love seeing that you're still doing what you love and I'm subbed to this channel now. Hope to see more great videos.
Saw the card today - came here to see what you say about it!! Awesome Thanks for your input!
i waited ur opinion for the gtx 1080 :D
love u from Italy
Starting with education employment this year After finishing school. * Already plans to save 2-3 Month payments to afford GTX 1080*
Great video Elric, I can't to see the full benchmark, preformance etc for the GTX 1080 and GTX 1070 :)
im not a fan boy and normally buy my graphics card which are worth there money for there price point, but after running amd for a long time im defiantly going to buy the 1080 as soon as it is released.
Skyrim + 94 Graphics Mods + Ansel = Eyegasm
Great video Elric, my guess is the 1070 is going to be the card to get, it's better than a Titan X at a fraction of the price. The extra $$$ for the 1080 will only be for the heavy wallet brigade IMO.
+Sid Cannon Both should be true 4k cards, but even at the most expensive price this represents a huge jump in value proposition for price per performance. Plus with the lower tdp and power consumption I think we will be seeing these in smaller machines yet again, something I am all about.
You won't see a MSRP launch price only the Founders Edition Cards will be
released for $699/$449 and be sold out everywhere. After 2-4 months you will
see the "Founders Edition" magically become $599/$379 MSRP
reference card good scheme whoever thought of it at Nvidia.
Am I the only one marked a little about the single 8 pin? Alot of psus these days have two 8 pins on one chord meaning we are going to have one 8 pin port just dangling and messing up asthetics
+kedwardsTWO Buy 2 of them and put them in SLI :)
Never been a better excuse to SLI imo haha.
Looking forward to see real 4K gameplay benchmarks on this thing. I have a 4K display, but often only run my games at 1080P or 1440P on my 780Ti to keep framerates up. If this thing can run Fallout4 maxed out at 4K 60fps I may have to get one.
Me too man... I'm guessing this thing will run 4K @ 60 FPS.
Great Vid Elrick, loads of info smooth and entertaining, keep up the great work, Cheers Harry
You're so fast, Eric! Thanks for your dedication, man! ^_^
That intro song rocked... What a bass!
The real question is whether the new multi-monitor stuff requires the developers to enable it, or its handled outside the dame by the driver.
lol @11:15 called it a 1080p XD
i shall wait for the gtx 1380 when its out. my gtx 780 will work for me for many many years!! *gazing towards the horizon and looking dramatic*
you are the chillest, freshest youtuber.
The background music just kills it!
So is there any tech youtube channels left that hasn't sold out completely?
+perrrry What are you talking about?
wine & dine concept taken to the next level.
I'm waiting for those 1070 benchmarks.
After having a 660ti for so long, I think it'll be a substantial improvement for the budget i'm on.
Any word on Australian pricing?
I can't wait to buy the 1070. Should i wait for it to be tested on motherboards first or can i just buy it and start builidng a pc
So with Pascal I can 360 no scope any time with a single click! :P
+R Coltman (Tricky Ric) only if the game supports it , about 10 new games do , its not back compatible , the sdk code has to be written into new games to do the 3d screenshot art shit !
I always decide with price for performance when choosing a card. I have seen that the green team usually tends to have better price for performance
You could get two 1070s in SLI for just a bit more than the 1080 founders edition. I'm eager to compare the performance. I'm glad I waited to built my next pc.
Definitely going to upgrade from my 980Ti to the 1080 when aftermarket versions release for my beast :)
First time I've been excited for a pc component. Well played nvidia.. well played.
4-way SLI benchmarks?
Again mis information, come on Erik! They said the 1080 is faster than two 980's IN VR! Their exact words are that the 1080 is 70% faster than a single 980.
+Engel You seem to be the one being "mis informed" here.
+Engel Get a life buddy, you have no idea what you are saying I was there, where you? No, and where is your card? Once again you dont have one....
Tech of Tomorrow You are my life Erik. Ill always support you through your troubles and life. Keep it up!
So rude man... Why the bad attitude... :(
He just points out the flaws in your video. You should be thankful. Mistakes are only bad if you do not learn from them. And apparently you dont... Too bad man... He was, and still is right! So, next time when somebody corrects you, dont act like a jerk.
Facts dont mis inform.
Wonderful video! Thx for updating me I am very excited to get this!
I wonder if the 360 degree pictures can be viewed in VR. That would be amazing.
Good stuff! Makes me wanna finally build my own PC!
only thing I'm interested in is how much faster is this thing than the 980 Ti Amp Extreme you tested a while ago +techoftomorrow
Great channel. Great Reviews. A recent subscriber, you do a really good job!!
Hi Elric,
When its available, could you please do a comparison between GTX 1080 and 980 TI?
Also would love to see the size difference between them :)
Thanks alot!
Even if the GTX 1080 is leagues ahead of the Fury X I'm going to wait and see what AMD shows before I would consider buying a 1080. I have a GTX Titan in my PC right now paired with an AMD FX 8320 @ 4.1Ghz and it still serves me really well (But to be fair I don't really play games on my PC too often).
+dnadonut You know,
you can always trade that titan for my 750 ti
JackSLR783 3 No thank you. Its nice having a GTX 970 equivalent with 6GB of VRAM.
dnadonut Lol
dnadonut Yeah your right
dnadonut I was planning on getting a 970, but after i heard about the 1070, i was like "Bro, what's a 970???"
I'll be getting a gtx 1080 and a new monitor, but i can't decide between a 1440p 60hz monitor, or a 1080p 144hz monitor. Which one is better for gaming?
Thanks for making this vid man, i love your channel, but i have a question. Am planning on getting a 1070, since the 1080 price is really high for me, the question is, are there really big differences between them? And will it be enough for mid-level gaming 2017? My PSU is EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 80+ GOLD will it be enough to power that beast?
11:15 the beautiful 1080p?
I don't understand the reason for people to dislike the video, it's just talking about a graphics card
Any idea when the custom cards will be available?
I'm looking forward to a MSI 1080 and 1070
lovin that background music :)
If i'm not mistaken, this is actually the slowest of the GDDR5X versions available. And not the fastest, the faster being 12 Ghz.
Out of all the You Tube Tech channels.
Yours have the best music. Rock on.... Unlike others with girly electronic stuff :)
Going to wait for the 1080 TI instead.. Or maybe I just go for the pascal Titan
I always thought you were more of a movie guy, Joseph
What's the difference between the normal and founder versions of the cards?
Time to upgrade the 780 classified. Should see a 50-60% boost in performance over it at 4k.
Is this card for "regular" users? What I mean by regular is single monitor, 1440p maximum resolution, and never wanting VR.
Looking forward to 1080 vs 980ti fps comparison in 1080p,1440p etc...
Thanks for this new info :D Btw are u the guy who played Obadiah in Iron man?
Monitor correction may or may not work with current and past games. I believe it will be NEW GAMES only, and only ones with this support.
Same with Ansel, optimizing VR, new audio.
I'll looking forward on getting the 1080. i have the gtx 780 so it will be a big jump for my build
Is the 1070 still worth it? I want to future-proof my next build and am torn between the price gap between the two. And if the 1070 is still faster than a Titan X... I dunno lol.
Should I wait for the custom versions of the 1080 and 1070 by companies by gigabyte and all that or should I just grab the reference version
Worth to buy 1070 or AMD new pascals
Great video man, looking forward to the 17th so we can see its teeth. Kinda old, but hoping to hear some pain cylinder in the benchmarks, heh.
Nice video, Love the way you put out the info. Just subed!!!
+Thomas Gaither Jr. Thanks Thomas welcome Sir...
I'm still rocking my hd7970 ghz edition. gtx 1080 will more than likely be my next card due to the price.
I want it on day 1. When and where can I pre-order?
Always great videos. Is your band still around?
+sin8800 On a break right now
You didn't go over the founders edition like Jayztwocents did might wanna add that.
I been buying AMD cards for a while. I had the 4870 xfire, 5870 xfire, 7970 xfire, and 290x xfire. I will be picking up a couple of these and jumping to Nvidia. Only reason I been with AMD for so long is cause there price for performance has always been great. GTX 1080 faster than 2 sli 980's and faster than titan x, it's a no brainer.
im stuck with a 760 so its time to upgrade when these bad boys come out woot . My question is , I am running a I5 - 3350p , 8 gigs of ram with a 550 watt power supply and a z75 pro3 mother board . Will i need to upgrade , build a new computer for this bad boy or just plug and play ? If you were gonna build a whole new computer , what would you build ? Keep in mind I play mainly MMORPGs and mainly WoW >< I know this card will destroy wow but other games will be played as well . =) Budget can be from 1500 to 2000 . Im also on a 1440p 27inch monitor if that matters to much at this point.
You gained a new subscriber Sir. Keep up the good work
+orlando gonzalez Thanks and welcome to the channel
