I have done Blue Manna crabbing at jetties in Western Australia, using a drop net and fish bait. Kangaroo meat can also be used. Another way is to use a scoop net to scoop them up when they swim near the surface. Wardens make random checks to ensure that no undersized crabs and those with eggs are taken. As the fine is hefty, a crab gauge is used to measure the carapace (shell). Each person is allowed to catch 20 crabs per day, an indication that they are plentiful in summer. Crabbing is fun!
I commercial crabbed in Fla and the best crab bait is Shad or squid
I’m a Commercial crabber and I use clam bags on a trout line. And chicken necks and fish heads in a crab trap.

Very nice. Blue crabs look little. Do they have much meat? We use some of the meat from local Dungeness crabs to make a delicious crab mousse. Hope you'll take a look sometime. This is a very instructive video!
if you use a regular crab pot then you get more crabs with less work. Plus you can quite a few pots out with just a reglar fishing permit.
Don't wear sneakers with cloth sides. I learned this the hard way. He reached up with both claws and latched on to each side of my foot. Ouch! In your other post i was reminded of a time when I was a young kid. An older was trying to show off by grabbing a crab from the rear and holding him upside down. He said, "they go to sleep when upside down". He then proceed to play with its mouth to prove it. Bam! That sucker latched on to his finger (drawing blood) with it's claw and wasn't letting go.

I love blue crab fishing..I find they love turkey meat..also..the funny thing is I can't eat seafood..so for me it's just for fun..I throw them back..I caught a pufferfish one day..that was hilarious..I could literally be there all day long..the shorter spaghetti thongs work better..the ends are wider and easier to articulate..fun video

Yes, but it's the free license. You can pick it up at Walmart or Kmart or any place that does fishing licenses. Ask for free onshore fishing license.

Used to watch t h e crabs get into the net. Not afraid to just grab them
In Florida it's illegal to 🦀 snares.
But they told me to tie a chicken 🍗 on a line or my 🐠 line

How do I make 2- 6 loop that can trap the 🦀
Because 1 loop will not make me Have a BETTER chance of trapping 🦀
I prefer the metal pyramid traps, that way at least you won't lose your trap when a stingray steals your bait.
Two Sticks and Clothes line.... go 20 feet in water off rocks ... Place in sticks with line held up each end of stick..... Then 5 to 7 feet of fishing line with chicken neck on end.... Tie to line throw out... as soon as line get straight ... slow pull with net to see crab on end.. Scoop... fill the cooler in 2 hours.... good luck

I dive to waters that are about 5-6 metres and search under the rocks.once i see the crabs i take them out with a stick that i broke off from a tree and catch them with my net

+Yuu Sonoda (Sujeily Maderin) Why the hell would you waste perfectly good chicken meat. Use a cast net to catch your bait. Where there are crabs there's bait. It takes less than five minutes to catch all the bait you are going to need and you might even catch something you can eat as well.
Why would you use tongs to catch a crab? Just grab it by it's claw arms and hog tie it.
