I'm a Japanese, but, I love Republic of Korea and this national anthem too much! I'd like to be able to sing this song well by watching this video. My most favorite Korean song is HAND IN HAND sung by KOREANA as1988 SEOUL OLYMPIC official theme song! That song is also famous even in Japan!

I think Japanese National anthem represents Japan. The Japanese traditional scales were used, but i am sorry that Korean anthem used the western scale. 😕

저는 이미 애국가를 부를 수 있지만, 영상이 재미있었습니다.
You had to find the right words in English to represent the sounds of Korean, and that is very difficult. English doesn't have any pronunciation rules, and thus, any Romanizations are so inconsistent. I am lucky that my mother tongue is not English, but rather, Croatian. Korean grammar concerning nouns is similar to Croatian, and vowel pronunciation is easier if I take Croatian vowels as a base, and add a few things. I still don't have confidence to write about many topics in Korean, but that will come.
As for the anthem itself...it is my favorite foreign national anthem. The old tune (Auld Lang Syne) fits the words well, but the "current" tune is spectacular. The hairs on my body would stand up every time I heard 애국가 on TV (2018 and 2022). Singing it alongside Korean NT players...it was a spiritual experience. During the Portugal game, I was singing some parts of the anthem that come after the 1. stanza and the refrain. I wanted a miracle, and it happened.
