@Andrei11tBecause France was the second major Republic in history aside from the United States. France was already the third or fourth strongest country in the world, so when we abolished the Monarchy in 1792 it was major. During the Coalitionary Wars, many European countries invaded France but we won and took much of Europe. that guy is NOT turkish. Turkey's national personification is in fact a woman. This guy has no idea what he's doing as the person he put there is not the composer who composed the anthem nor is he the poet who wrote the poem. That guy doesn't even look Turkish. I've been living here all my life unfortunately and i have maybe seen one person who looks like that in my entire life. Like, it's not ecen Ottoman as that type of head dress was banned in the ottoman empire long before the civil war and the war of independence had started and the Modern Republic of Turkey was established.

Germany below countries in Latin America maybe except Mexico or Brazil idk also should not be the case, it is synonymous with all of modern European history, and if not it, Erika should be up there. I think Uruguay should be somewhere on here cos football + longest main anthem. China is the second most populous, second best military and in the UN top 5 security council. South Korea, Australia and New Zealand-Aotearoa would have all also made much sense to include.

I am from NZ. Our anthem is the most famous - God Save the King. It is the same as the UK one. The best ones are Northern Ireland (Danny Boy) and EU (an die Freude). The old Russian Anthem is good too (main theme to the 1812 Overture). Lots of the good ones - Greece, Poland, Finland, Italy, Argentina for me.

I like this idea, but I take issue with your methodology here. "More popular" implies to me popular globally. That countries with a huge population, like Russia and India, have lots of views on their anthems, is hardly surprising, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a globally popular tune. Similarly, it's hardly surprising that China doesn't show up in this list, because UA-cam is banned in China. Ideally, you would have found a way to factor in the population for each country, specifically the number of people with internet access (numbers virtue of the Wikipedia article "List of countries by number of Internet users") and somehow take into account the fact that UA-cam is or has been banned in several countries (there is also a Wikipedia article about that). It's a bit more complex, but I think better methodology
I mean it's hard to make an objective global list, but Russian being high is still not surprising regardless given that half of all communism jokes blast the anthem in them.

Hi, I'm brazilian/italian
I like Brazil, Spain, Russia, France, Germany, USA, Italy, UK.
We need part 2 right now!
Part 2? You mean from the -1st most famous to the -20th most famous hymn?
Honorable mentions:
China 🇨🇳
Greece 🇬🇷
Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Uruguay 🇺🇾
South Africa 🇿🇦
South Korea 🇰🇷
Australia 🇦🇺
New Zealand 🇳🇿
Iran 🇮🇷
Sweden 🇸🇪

I knew 4 out the 20 anthems. Doesn't really surprise me given how much I'm into classical music and how I've also had a passing interest with anthems. 3 of these anthem melodies, I have heard in classical music pieces, the other I recognize cause it's from where I was born. The ones I have heard in classical music pieces are:
German -> Haydn String Quartet in G Hob. III:77 "Emperor", piano arrangement of said quartet, and Das Kaiserlied Hob. XXVIa:43
UK -> Beethoven 7 Variations on "God save the King"
French -> Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture
And the one from where I was born is the USA anthem.
4 out of 20 is literally nothing, especially because they are anthems
French anthem is not creating by tchaikovsky, the national anthem was in 1792 and the overture was in 1880
Wait a second doesn't Paganini have a God Save The King piece based on that song? Idk if Beethoven has one
@@kidkrowtaylor.ৎ I don’t know about Paganini that much beyond the caprices and guitar sonatas, but yes Beethoven has a piece based on God Save the King. ua-cam.com/video/1vx-sYGR-dA/v-deo.html
no russian guy made the french anthem and a french made the british one
4:12-4:15 sounds amazingly like 'Advance Australia Fair' (final line)
As an Australian, I fully agree.
Waltzing Mathilda also nice. candidate
@@Rudnaz_127 So true
BRAZIL IS THE PRETTIEST MOST BEAUTIFUL AND GORGEOUS ANTHEM OF ALL!
Apart from Sri Lanka i venture to suggest.
I'm honestly surprised that Russia and Germany aren't higher, I would have thought that Russia would be #1.
SCHUMANN NEXT!!!!
By the way it was a cool video, and where is China?
Hello from Germany yall 🇩🇪
A non-native never will understand the complexy and beauty from brazillian national anthem
Why😂
@@tovarishlumberjack2356 because it's written in a really old fashion way, what makes it hard to understand - even for Brazilians -, so the translation doesn't make much justice to it... The poetry behind the lyrics is outstanding, but I suppose it's the same for the other anthems too.
@@tovarishlumberjack2356it was written during the Parnasian literature movement, with very complex words not used in everyday language. Not only that, the syntactic order is inversed in every single verse and it has many metaphors and citations to other songs and poems
Sou brasileiro e concordo, nem eu que sou nativo entendo tudo nele kk
a real pity things in Brazil follow exactly the opposite path of those magnificent words contained in their beautiful anthem.
21:56 Do correct me if I'm wrong, but there's no "our" in there, it's just "So that impure blood waters our furrows! ". It's talking about the blood of the enemies, not the French.
You should put "SHINZO WO SASAGEYO" at number 1
Never heard the Indian anthem before but the RUSSIAN (Soviet) national anthem is just so epic, on SO many levels, and by far the best and my personal favorite. And I say this as an American. Also, the UK's God Save the King should be way higher. And Israel's should be up there too.
These were stunning! I was very surprised (and delighted) to see Canada show up at all, somehow I expected pretty much every country but that one to be on the list :]
The brazilian one os Cut In half
As an F1 follower, I think we can all agree that the dutch anthem is the most famous
I just opened comments to write that xD
Yep, Max on top also in the principality
idk there was a long period of god save the queen, and a few years of germany before that, with some spain and brazil mixed in there, too.
Only if you watch F1 since 2021. Italian anthem is more famous in F1
@@Mecabios The British anthem is more played than since British drivers have won 308 races + McLaren, Lotus and Williams compared to Ferrari winning 244 wins + 43 wins by Italian drivers
I even never heard about Indian national anthem.
The national anthem ive always heard is RUSSIA, RUSSIA, AND RUSSIA
Edit: my nationalism is on the 14th place
No way is the Indian anthem more famous than the anthem of the European Union (Ode an die Freude, Ludwig van Beethoven)
Anyone else notice that Turkey and Thailand are the only countries who didn't personify themselves as a woman?
Honestly, I think women make more sense. "Motherland." Right?
that guy is NOT turkish.
India doesn’t have the most famous anthem. Its either the Star Spangled Banner or the Soviet Anthem
Its all opinion no one knows which is best,as for me peace and hormony should be a symbol rather than gun blazing

2. UK

Okay this is just so wrong?! Germany and UK should be in Top 10 at least, I'd argue UK as it is the inspiration of many old anthems should be even top 5 (not 1 though). Germany below countries in Latin America maybe except Mexico or Brazil idk also should not be the case, it is synonymous with all of modern European history, and if not it, Erika should be up there.
Thai in 5th even though ive never heard it.
I think how this is measured should be either the total views between all media platforms like YT and Spotify, or a combination of Historical/Politcal Significance and how Often they're heard at Sport Events (mostly football (⚽) since that is the most popular sport.
I think Uruguay should be somewhere on here cos football + longest main anthem. China is the second most populous, second best military and in the UN top 5 security council. South Korea, Australia and New Zealand-Aotearoa would have all also made much sense to include.
Other 8 famous anthems: Australia, China, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Uruguay, South Korea and South Africa.
Famous ? China maybe during the olympics, but the others...
Where's the Netherlands? And Israel?

Most famous without a doubt are UK, France, US, and Russia
As an Indian, I feel proud.
As a Bengali, I feel prouder. The anthem is written and composed by Tagore, and the picture you show, Bharat Matha, is painted by his nephew, Aban. Both Bengali, both residents of my city.

Bro that's insanely good
I stood up when the Indian National anthem was playing , because I am also an Indian 🇮🇳
even though I am Indian I still didn't stood up. bro I love my country but nowhere it's written in constitution to stwnr up when music is played. when singing is played then stand up @@Sohamthakare11-y
The French national anthem (La Marseillaise) has a long version that very few people know, would you know how to play it on the piano using the right keys to make the Marseillaise magnificent?
Гордость переполняла сердце, когда наконец услышал знакомые ноты🥹❤🇷🇺🥈
I am from NZ. Our anthem is the most famous - God Save the King. It is the same as the UK one. The best ones are Northern Ireland (Danny Boy) and EU (an die Freude). The old Russian Anthem is good too (main theme to the 1812 Overture). Lots of the good ones - Greece, Poland, Finland, Italy, Argentina for me.
Maamme of Finland?
The National Brazilian anthen is pure poetry. As a Brazilian descendant of Germans, French and Portuguese, I am biased in stating this. But the Brazilian national anthem is a 1000 for its beautiful lyrics and music. It is worth remembering that only half of it was presented here. Rubens Leffer De Liz Santos, Florianópolis, SC, Brazil.
India's national anthem has been ranked no. 1 here because many other countries are full of Indian immigrants and India is the most populous country in the world
Personally, I'd rank the British, American, and French anthems as the most famous as in being known to the most non-ethnic people with respect to each country
As a german i am proud that we have made it into the video
16:29 dude who tf is that guy 💀
that guy is not the poet nor the composer for that Anthem. And he is in no way anything related to Turkey or not even the late ottomans as that style of headwear was banned for a long time.
The one who created the Philippine national anthem was Julian Felipe.
It’s also famous for it being the oldest anthem in Southeast Asia.

Russia? Huge population? I dunno about you, but 150 million is pretty small compared to some others...

Dang, me personally I ain’t even know India had an anthem, honestly now that I know it, I still think UK anthem should be on top, almost everyone in the world knows it
Missing Anthem of Belgium - one of the most beautifull Anthems in the world. Between all the Anthems listed there Anthem of Italy have to be on first place, because Italy are the center of the Arts in the world.
The German anthem is called "Lied der Deutschen", the composer is Joseph Haydn. Your research lacks quality. No way the Indian anthem is more popular than the German one.
Ich danke dich
I think the russia or ussr anthem is the most popular.
I‘m a Polish and why does the indonesian anthem sound like the polish one? Is this something about flags?
Perhaps it’s just the beat? I’m Polish as well and I vaguely heard a slight resemblance.
