I'll try to make this now i have lots of comquats from my tree i just harvest some today many thnx for sharing your recipe yummy..😋
That is cool that you have a kumquat tree. Let me know what you think of the jam.
Looks good. My question is that other recipes say don't boil the seeds too long bc it's bitter but you did for 10mins. It's not bitter for you? I have a tree that I just harvested.
Just made this thank you!

hi, great recipe. I see you double the kumquat inside with wanter for a total of 430g, but in the ingredients list, you call for 430 grams of water...pls clarify? tks!
Where did you see this?
I made mine today but it is bitter. What did I do wrong? Thanks
Did you add the same amount of sugar? Did you also take away the inside parts?
I made fresh vanilla. Can I just add 20 g to 1 kilo instead? I make my own vanilla extract. Thanks!!
You can as well adjust to taste.
I'm going to be trying this with mandarins this Christmas, I might have to use less sugar though since they are way sweeter than kumquats, what sugar ratio would you recommend for mandarins?
Will you be using some pectin?
You could bring the sugar down to 2/3 the weight of citrus and then bring the temperature to 105 degress celcius to allow jellification.
@@AveryRaassen No, I have done another marmalade with mandarins and didn't have to use pectin
@@AveryRaassenand when you say the citrus you mean the weight of the peels right?
Yes, sorry, the weigh of the peel@@steliosemmanouilidis5050
Could I follow this replacing it with loquats?
I don't see why not. Let me know how it goes.
