Love it Sue! Yes..the LED lights really make it pop! I just made my second resin sculpture as a commission. :D I did a wave again..because she saw my blue wave and wanted different colors. I lay my mat over a single paper towel roll with the plastic on. It works great for this!
This is beautiful! I've been bending my resin a bit but haven't gotten it to bend as far as you have. Getting ready to binge watch! Thanks for the tutorial!
Gorgeous!.I Love it!!..Oh my goodness I love your piece, plus you placed LED lights, how cool is that.. I feel the need to try my hand at something like this. I love how my water splash turned out, thanks to your amazing direction and guidance. I just love watching your videos..more please more..lol..
Ha ha, I have some more videos waiting in the wings to be published. I have family over from the UK at the moment, some of which I haven’t seen for 13 years. So there will be a limited number published. 💕
Hi Sue, I am a newbie to resin arts and was looking for a book on Amazon.I found yours but needed to have a look at what you do. Beautiful and I love it. Thankyou.
Oh Sue, this is stunning! I love it!t is so generous, sharing how to do these sculptures. I am in awe. I keep looking for a suitable mat, not found one yet in the UK. I will continue the search.xx
Just subscribed. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful creations. I love your no nonsense straight to the point demos and yet your results are amazing. will look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Amazing! This is so stinkin' fabulous!!! I pour paint and create in many other ways, but resin scares me! Why? I think you have me at a confidence point where I may give this a try! Thank you!
WOW that is so beautiful. I am going to give this a try thank you just love it. I will put fairy lights in the back. what could I use to hold the lights?
When I am pushing the stones into the gems into the resin, I am not actually touching the resin. Same when I am dropping the stones on, I don't touch the resin (well most of the time that is).
Your work is amazing and you are so articulate in the middle of creating. Bravo! Can I ask how you would attach about six of these bent forms into a single curved backsplash? Can they get warm enough to merge with adjacent panels or am I better off making a mold? Or could I just use grout? What would you do?
Ooh, that would be a tricky one. Can you form an accurate shape in order to bend your resin around? I would bend aluminium sheets into your desired shape. Then pour your resin into moulds, just like in my video. When semi cured move the resin to your shape to allow it to fully cure. You would have to secure it to the curve to make sure it doesn't move. Once fully cured, I would attach the resin to the metal sheets using more resin (applied with a brush) allow to cure and install the whole piece. Good luck with your project. 💕
Sue Findlay If I did not use an aluminum sheet at all in the final backsplash, could a piece like the one in this video stand on its own over time as a backsplash? It certainly looks solid enough. My backsplash would be visible from both sides, so its near transparency would be a bonus. Thanks in advance for your help!
Oh my gosh absolutely stunning I cant wait to do this and experiment! Just beautiful, I have a ? ' what brand of resin do you use and is it the same resin used for all your beautiful pieces? Thankyou so much for sharing with us, again beautiful art!! D
I just want to tell u how much I inspire to get into resin art! U explain everything in such great detail. I just have too slowly buy my pigments and resin because for now we just live on my husbands disability check until I can get mine. Can u tell me what kind of resin u use? I love love this piece.
Thank you Brenda 💕 I started out with what I could afford and slowly built up my pigments. If you buy quality pigments, they go a long way, so last ages. I buy my resin from U Resin here in Australia, they don't unfortunately, ship overseas, so it is advised that you test brands of resin that are close to you until you find the right one for you.
Hi Sue, This is spectacular! Love it! And your daughter was right, adding the gems gave it just what it needed to gain that elegant 3D effect. Do you HAVE to use a heat-gun or would a torch work? or a blow-dryer? x
Just recently stumbled upon your channel and I am enthralled with watching all of your videos! My curiosity is is there any difference between resins? Could I use Stone coat art resin in this application, meaning will it Bend? Heart resin and stone coat resin are about the two most popular resins here in the states and I don't know where to begin meaning I don't know which resin to order and if there's a difference between the resins that you use. You just have me so so intrigued by seeing your amazing work! Your talent is undeniable! Your imagination is just genius. I have not worked with resin a lot other than to resin artwork but would seriously love to try and Bend some resin. Thank you ever so kindly in advance for your answer!
To be honest, no idea. I know there has been people working with resin for many years. I myself have only been playing with it for the past two years. Much of what you see on my channel is my experiments with it. 💕
Oops that's the wrong video but it shows the dish. I'l leave that other one there for you cuz it's about my experiments with resin, vinegar and chewing gum. Thought you might enjoy*
I finally found it, jeez, I had to rename it for my own future reference.ua-cam.com/video/JZgwygPm1FM/v-deo.html Ok here is the correct video on how I bent the resin for my petri dish. Hope u enjoy***
This is a beautiful piece! what are the size of the acrylic diamond shaped gems do you use? and could u use an alternative? I would love to take a chance and make one
Thank you, they range in size from 2mm to 6mm. You can also use crushed glass. I will be publishing another video very soon showing it with crushed glass.
Ms. Findlay, I am a newbie at this and I would love to try to do beautiful pieces like this. It looks like a fun thing to do so please forgive me for all the questions. With regards to "resin" how do I know which resin to use? because there are so many out there.

Sue this is fabulous 👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟 there’s been a bit of talk recently in various art groups about copying. I don’t know about you but I’ve never managed to copy my own work let alone someone else’s. I’m inspired by many & do my best to acknowledge who that was. What are your thoughts on anyone copying this? I’ve done a very similar piece some time ago using resin & alcohol inks. Well done. ♥️
First of all thank you. In answer to your question, I have no problem with people copying my work in order to learn, we all have to start somewhere. All I ask is that if you have followed one of my videos to create a piece, that you at least give me credit for it, or if they ask you how you do it, you point them in the direction of my video. My aim is to inspire people to create their own masterpieces. I love it when people get a 'lightbulb' moment to fix any issues they might have had and are then able to create new and exciting pieces.
Thanks for your response Sue, I think a lot of artists wouldn’t be as upset provided they were acknowledged. I’ve pointed many in your direction. Love your creativity 🌟♥️

Hi Sue. Now ready to use my 5 mats 😁. Bit thick here but how did you hold sides with parcel tape ? 🦆
Do you mean when bending the resin? If so, then parcel tape is fine to use. 💕
Sorry I wasn’t very clear... meant, how do you attach parcel tape - to the outside of resin piece & then to table ? 💕
How did you wrap it in wrapping tape to get it more rounded? it's stunning.
Thank you. I just bent it around the roll of bubble wrap, once cured, i applied some packing tape across the back to hold it in place while it fully hardened (about a week).
if a cutting tool is used to shape the flames....cut off the white areas.....what do you think of this idea? can it be done without damaging the piece? thanks!
If you are careful you should be able to do it. You will have to sand the edges and as a result, it may need extra polishing.
