Oh there's even Cabins for rent there? Cool beans 😎. Sad to see smog out in the desert that thick. Thanks again for all you do to share these wonderful places with us Glenn & Amy.
Our pleasure! That area actually isn't TOO far away from the Phoenix valley so wonderful sights of pollution/blowing dust aplenty depending on the time and weather conditions unfortunately.
Really is a cool trail, gotta look at the first half as something to get through, once you hit slide rock area you can just mosey around, here’s a tip- siphon draw in the rain becomes a magical place with waterfalls all over and a little stream running down the slide rock with a bigger waterfall up higher dumping into a rock pool, real life goonies type feel but not for beginners bacause of slick hiking, definitely should try once but it’s hard to time with rain out here obviously, cheers!
That sounds like an awesome idea! The added bonus of the overcast skies would be nice as well. And yes... timing would definitely be something that could be a challenge but probably worth it. Thanks for the tip!👍😄
Glad we came across your channel! We plan on doing a video at Rooster Cogburn's soon so that's how we came across your channel, and looks like you have down videos at a bunch of other awesome spots in our area! Got yourself a new local subscriber :)
LOL. Yeah... but that's Arizona for you. We DO have waterfalls but they're not the most accessible places. I imagine after a monsoon storm the place would be raging with water. Though probably not the best place to witness it. 😅
Thanks for sharing your exploration! Also, your anticipation on meeting a rattle snake on hike is so fun, it's almost like an excitement to meet one haha. Take care out there sir!
Oh gosh... It's been a while since Glenn hiked this so I doubt he remembers anymore. 😔 AllTrails says that the entire hike (there and back) is 5.5 miles though.
look like a nice place to hike and get lovely views of our valley haze!
Haha! Yeah... It definitely illustrates how that stuff just sits there blanketing the city. 😅
I watched this video with great pleasure
Why thank you! Happy to hear you enjoyed it! 😄

All we can do is enjoy what we have for as long as we can@@CactusAtlas
That was great, thank you! My gal and I are off to do this tomorrow!!

Awesome! Thanks so much and welcome! Have fun with the animals at Rooster Cogburn's. 😄
The Superstition Mountains are definitely impressive. I remember asking my mother what they were during a road trip from NM to CA when I was a child.
They're absolutely iconic, aren't they? I love passing by them on the way back from trips. ☺️
It looks like Flatiron from other vids I've seen.
This is so pretty! I remember the beautiful green and yellow in early spring on the hillside!😍
One wouldn't think there's spring color in the desert! 😂
That was a nice hike 👍 that water fall was a little underwhelming

I'm glad you made it up to the "waterfall." Even if it wasn't what you expected the view was very nice.
That it was!

Thanks! The rattlesnake thing has almost become a mini mission on outdoor adventures. Want to see one but maybe not. Lol!
How far is it to the thumb rock at about 9:01 min?

I did it today , is about 1.6 miles to the thumb rock😅
Do you think I could take my 3 year old?
scared?
