Up till summer 2022 we lived 30 years just 15 mins away from there. Six times a year and every weekend after Thanksgiving, it was our go-to get away. Usually the the dry camp sites that use to run only $15 a night, and first come first serve. Never was crowded till about 2016. Our last year we camped there was in 2018. Got way too crowded over the years and booking a year in advance seemed crazy after years of it basically being our back yard. Thanks for sharing a recent video of the area.
Crowded RV campgrounds in magical places like this has become common with the flood of new RVers over the past five years or so. Thank you for sharing your experiences with the campground. Much appreciated. Lou
Very cool video ! Nice looking enterance! Ooooo, one of my favorite things...a gift shop ! Lot's of pretty things I saw hanging in there I'd like to look at !! Very neat and clean campground . I agree Lou, site 32 was a good one ! #115 was really good too!! Very cool rock mountain behind #121. I would love to check those out ! OMG ! Cabin's?!!! So cool looking!! Wow the catus is very pretty to see! There are so many different kinds growing out there. Does Milo ever get the thorns, or prickly things stuck in his paw's as he walks on the trails ? Thats a pretty big doggie run. lol, one lone tall cactus in there...I bet it "watered alot" lol Cool sun-dial also ! Very nice pic-a-nic area!! (as Yogi Bear would pronounce it) lol Aww, Milo wanting another treat ! I see you have one of those cool water bowls for him. I love picnic's ! I think Im gonna have to let us go on many more this year !! Milo, for RENT ?!! Oh cool ! Yes I would like to put in my reservation for him. Oh , I know he likes the beach, so I will reserve him for when we go to Assateague ! He really loves to run up and down the edge of the waves !! Pack him his snacks, I will bring a bag of tennis balls! Very beautiful video, I enjoyed this one very much !!! Thanks so much guy's for taking the time, for inviting us along !! Love ALL the little details you add into your video's !! vicky
No one, I mean no one offers up detailed comments like you Vicky. You really make us reflect back on the video. This was our second visit to Lost Dutchman State Park. It is an economical way for folks that are not Thousand Trails Members to visit the Mesa area in addition to explore the adjacent Superstition Wilderness and Tonto National Forest. This park is truly worthy of repeat visits. As always, thanks for riding along with us. Lou
Was just recently there and really enjoyed the park. One good thing I discovered was that they offer a 50 percent discount on day use fees for veterans. Money saved is always good (savings bought some extra gas for motorhome).
I didn't know about the 50% discount on on day use fees for veterans. Thanks for this additional information. I'll have to give it a go next time through. Lou
Love your videos. I have cougar to. Did you do solar yourself? What kind of dog is milo? Cute little thing. Couple more years and I will retired so I can enjoy some of these amazing camping spots.
Well done once again!! Milo is precious... we enjoy seeing him in your vlogs. We were wondering, what is the time difference ,from when you are at the location and when the vlog is posted? Cheers and stay safe.
The time and date of recording varies because some videos are recorded and then placed in our video queue awaiting to be published. Other videos may be published immediately after being recorded. When we are actively traveling for many months, the videos we record are in excess of the number of videos our audience could reasonably watch, hence the video queue. About a year ago, I started populating the recording date field just below the written video description on UA-cam. Just click on the video description for any video and view the recording date. Hope this helps! Thanks for riding along with us. Much appreciated. Lou
