Here is a small tutorial on how you can quickly create a simple drum loop pattern on only one mono FM channel within FMDrive vst...you can even be way more complicated by sending program changes and around 100 registers that can be automated! Here we use Cubase 5 as a DAW.
All the data can be transfered in real time to the Sega Genesis hardware via GenMDM Midi Interface or will be trans-coded into a VGM File (soon).
Can't wait for this to be made available for MAC OS
Or buy a cheap windows computer.
Nah
+George Reid Grew attached to the macs?
Well, I happen to own one if that's what you mean? Buying a windows computer, regardless of how cheap, simply to run this piece of software would be extremely inefficient. I compose using my Mac - I will just have to be patient for FMDrive OS ;)
You have a point.
I've bought this synth, but I just wish it was more user-friendly. I mean, there are parameters such as the "C2", "M2", "C1", "M1", "FB", "VL", and you are not really telling us what they all do while you're changing them. Can't we have a little more information please?!
Hi. totally amazing sounding stuff like all your VSTs. Although I'd prefer a non- realistic looking GUI I am thinking about purchasing. Does this have multiple outputs like the Linn and the Simmons software?
8:30 sounds like a dot matrix printer :)
7:09 is a cool variation
damn I got this to work on FL Studio but trying to get that snare sound is a bitch even trying to emulate what your doing and I couldn't get it....
cool
Is the synthesis actually 16-bit?
Yup.It also has the Master System PSG chip which is 8-bit.
+Ryan G. actually it is a bit more complicated :) the 16bit was mostly to showcase the console's Motorola 68000 processor capability... you can still think of the FM soundchip as an 8bit sound somewhat :D
