@@angelagerardi4970 You are very welcome, and I am so happy that you found my channel. The machine itself definitely looks intimidating, but other than being rather boring just laying there, it wasn’t bad at all. It did turn out not to be my gallbladder, so currently I am waiting to have surgery to have my ovaries removed, as an ovarian cyst was the culprit. Which is rather frustrating because I kept telling my doctors my pain felt like it was coming from my left ovary, but they kept telling me they didn’t believe so. Whatever you’re having the test for, I hope it goes well and that you get the results you are looking for. Thank you so much for leaving a comment and for watching the video.
Good luck with your journey......I hope it is something that will be very treatable for you. I am going thru the same thing right now. Tons of abdominal pain, bloating, have had every test under the sun, am scheduled for a HIDA in 2 weeks. Not looking forward to it all at. I have severe COPD, so whatever they find wrong with me will not be an easy fix since I cannot be sedated for surgery without the risk of not waking up because my lungs are so bad. It's a terrifying way to live.
My mother had COPD as well so I completely understand everything that you were going through. At the end of the day, I suppose life takes us where we are meant to go, regardless of whether we want to be there or not! Thank you so much for sharing and I wish you absolutely nothing but the best.
Curious if anyone suggested an endometrial biopsy? Had similar symptoms post-menopausal ultrasound showed thickened lining. Gynecologist performed in-office biopsy found early endometrial carcinoma. I'm glad you pushed to move things along.. interested to hear an update.
Just had the sonohystragram done a coupe of days ago and will be uploading update soon. Thank you so much for the input and support! Were you able to get your carcinoma taken care of? I hope you are doing well!
@@thatmiddleagedlady3859 yes I was very fortunate my gynecologist insisted on biopsy after I kind of shrugged off the discharge..it was early and total hysterectomy/bi-lateral removal of ovaries was my treatment. Follow up annually (6 month followup first 2 yrs). Please do keep us informed of how you're doing.
Have you looked i to endocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) similar symtoms of gallbladder issues? A specific stool test will give dr the answer. Also MCAS ..... dr can still send a slide from that endoscopy biopsy. MCAS can also affect the GI system
They did this test for me. The gallbladder was good. It ended up being Gastroparisis for me from Ozempic. I didn't need weight loss , it was for diabetes.
@@thatmiddleagedlady3859 Thank You for your kind words. Sadly this is for life. But we chronic warriors still manage to tell folks " I'm fine". Love to you. I hope your journey is going better.
Im having this done on Friday. I have severe acid reflux and diabetes. I had a endoscopy and they found gastritis and esophagitis. I has mild trouble swallowing. I have experienced bloating, chronic diarhea, alternated with constipation, and anemia. Eating is not fun and like you i wanted answers. They tested me for ibs crohn's disease and so on so waiting for those results. So we will see what the hiba says.
A customer of mine also had a lot of those same symptoms, and was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia. It has a lot of those same symptoms. Would love to know how your test went. I hope all goes well and you get some answers.
@thatmiddleagedlady3859 Thank you. Yes I do have a hiatel hernia. It is small and I have had it for 24 years. These symptoms have gotten worse the last year and a half.
You should be able to. It does not fully enclose you, but the scan part of it does get put relatively close to you. You can listen to music if you would like, they even said a lot of people actually fall asleep.
Not at all. The machine itself just continually keeps scanning your gallbladder. You do not hear anything, you do not feel anything. Other than boring just laying there, you should be perfectly fine.
Wishing you all the best with finding out what is causing it. Keeping everything crossed for you that is not cancer.
Thank you!
I'm scheduled for this scan on Monday and glad I came across your page. Thank you
@@sharissegillus5653 It wasn’t bad at all. Good luck! And that’s for watching.
@@thatmiddleagedlady3859 Thank you!!
Thank you so much you explained this so well. I was afraid that it will be painful taking this HIDA Scan. I hope all is well with you>

It ended up being due to an ovarian cyst, just like I kept trying to tell everyone. Thank you so much for the information though.

Same here. Scan is tomorrow. Even had 2 bone marrow biopsy btw . Have you also?
@sheamontgomery5171 no I didn't have a biopsy. I had a bone density scan last year
What was your result?
Everything was fine. Nothing wrong with the gallbladder. I believe my score was around 68%
I’m very claustrophobic… can I do this

Hida scan done but they couldn't find gallbladder
Did they give you a reason as to why they were unable to see it?
Got the call. Chronic gallbladder
Did the medicine make you feel funny
