Hit this trail today for the first time ever. What a great trail! Couple of gnarly spots on the back side of the loop, but nothing my stock 06 Xterra with no locker couldn't handle. You could easily spend a few hours up here.
Awesome trail!! Went alone in the dark and had a blast!! My 3 rd gen 4 runner handled it like a beast… it is way more rutted and washed out now than in your video definately one of the more technical trails I’ve hit especially in the dark… there is a spot where the trail is so off camber that it is possible to roll over
@@BRollOffroad same here. 2" OME and 255 KO2s on an 07 Jeep Grand Cherokee w/5.7. Took that advice you gave..."it doesn't take much....a lift...cupla tires"
Great video. I love Devil's Canyon. Did it with my wife and son last summer when he was only 4 months old. Found a great camping spot midway through and spent the night. We'll be doing it more with it being so close to us.
thanks so much and me too! it’s a great quickie. glad you took your son out so early, gives me hope for my buddy with the van, his kid arrives in 4 days!
hey what’s up man, that’s excellent! i never thought kids would like my channel but i don’t know why, the seed of this whole thing is my old Big Foot VHS’s haha.
haha thanks! and this was my buddy Justin, he did use the locker after stopping for a sec and if you look close you can see how happy he is pulling away.
Wow i love road trip or hiking or off road. i hope i can do that soon but you know i dont have any of that haha so wow im enjoying seeing or watching your videos love the video shots❤️
thanks! also i think you’re right, not sure i’d recommend this one for ya. i have Easy Trails and Medium Trails playlists you might wanna check out if you’re lookin 👍
thanks! i just screenshot all the TrailsOffroad waypoints and sometimes find the exit coordinates and put those in as well. a canister is not required here 👍
no problem, i have a walkaround if you want but offroad upgrades are: 33” tires, 2” Old Man Emu Complete kit, SPC upper control arms, no sway bars/steps/flaps.
@@chris74ify nah I've gone as low as 8psi and never had beadlocks. this depends on LOTS of factors, heavy vehicles can pop beads, driving too fast in a turn, wheel lip size, sidewall rating etc. in general 15psi is pretty safe on anything unless it's huge.
4WD? I think you could, you’ll probably get some pinstripes in a couple spots and there’s a couple where you’ll need momentum to carry you through if you don’t have a locker, but you should be able to make it.
@@Lexusgx550 oh haha! my girlfriend is from there, been a few times, i like how green and hilly it is but there wasn't any offroad unless we went 2-3hrs away.
Great idea on the shots from behind zooming in and the shots in front zooming away! Super cool.
thanks! pretty much required when i’m alone. i had a driver this time but still fall into old habits 👍

yea! it’s pretty smooth for how fun it is too, not so many rocks and they re usually bigger so more fun than a chore. 👍

I’d like the fact the you are using proper hand signal to indicate your turns. 😂
Haha you can thank Justin always using proper signals 😂
That's a clean image. Wonderful greenery you got to drive through.
yea it was nice to revisit this one. i’m excited to redo everything in this area, mostly so i don’t have to keep driving 4hrs to do a new trail haha.
Looks like some great trails.
yea it’s a nice network, few more in the area too 👍 thanks for watching!
Thanks brother for inspiring those of us who watch to get out and truly appreciate Colorado!
no problem, have fun out there!
@@BRollOffroad I have one question. What type of jack are you using?
@@iowaboyincolorado just the stock one, i'm not lifted very much and don't have anywhere besides my hitch to use another type of jack.

I couldn't wait for your backstage vid so i went and shot 120Gbs of footage with 6 cameras on 6 hours trip...
haha nice! let me know when it’s finished, your photos from the other day were really good 👍
@@BRollOffroad The key here is WHEN its gonna be finished :D
WOAH DYNAMIC WALKING SHOTS ON BROLFROAD IDK IF I CAN HANDLE IT
HAHAHA! i almost didn't put it in, so out of place.
Awesomeness man that things a weapon ☠👍👍👍⛏💙
Still trucking along I see. You're only getting better everytime I check in. Stay safe and have a blast brother. 🍻
sick thanks bud!
A nice leisurely drive in Gods Country to clear the stink of the city out of your head. Very nice video!
Best wishes and good health to you my friend.
it was quite necessary haha, thanks bud hope you’re doing well.
You captured some good footage. Really pretty up there.
thanks! wish i could’ve gotten more from the air but didn’t go down this time. thanks for watching!
Sliders should be in the future. Good video!
haha sliders and winch have been in the list for.. 10yrs? haha, one day i'll get around to it. thanks for watching!
What a fantastic looking trail. I’m gonna have to put that on my list next time I’m up in that area.
Awesome footage and great editing. Great job!!
yea it’s a sweet quick one. might as well hit Barbour Forks on the way as well 👍
Very nice. Beautiful area.
thanks bud!
Took my ‘88 F150 on this trail today. It was awesome. Thanks for the video.
oh cool! does it have anything done to it?
B Roll Offroad Nope. Stock. I did just replace the suspension and tires. Just wanted a trail to see what it could do. It went well.
perfect!
Took my stock Renegade Trailhawk on this today and she did beautifully. This is a great vid
awesome and thanks for watching!
b-roll, this is ebags. my oldest (6 years) is asking if we have a b-roll xterra. Great work my friends.

love the drone shots its gorgeous, I need to ride around Idaho springs. been there about 3 or 4 times. so many trails out there
thanks! there’s a ton between Idaho Springs and Empire, still a few i haven’t done there 👍
Great trail!
thanks bud!
Did you have to use a locker at 4:50? You always make it look like even a Suburu could do it. You make it look easy.
haha thanks! and this was my buddy Justin, he did use the locker after stopping for a sec and if you look close you can see how happy he is pulling away.
wanna add, an open diff vehicle would probably be fine straddling the V and make it.

awesome glad you like it! thank you!
that was nicely shot. 🎯💯

cool content, great channel man!
@@NoProDad thanks really appreciate it!
I think you should lead a pack of Suburus up a trail just for kicks.
i’ll pass haha but they do surprise me quite a bit.
This is awesome! What app do you use to have your maps offline? For camping, do you know if a bear canister is necessary?
thanks! i just screenshot all the TrailsOffroad waypoints and sometimes find the exit coordinates and put those in as well. a canister is not required here 👍
Sorry if I missed it. I just found your channel but, does your X have a lift kit?
no problem, i have a walkaround if you want but offroad upgrades are: 33” tires, 2” Old Man Emu Complete kit, SPC upper control arms, no sway bars/steps/flaps.
New tires
still on the same tires, got a few thousand left. probably switch back to the MT’s next time, i like the slightly taller slightly skinnier look.
B Roll Offroad what psi are you running?
Looking to hit this trail next. How long did it take you to get across?
its tough to say because filming takes forever but i’d guess maybe 2hrs?
This is my kind of overlanding/off roading. I have a 2wd Escape. Would it work? And are your tires aired down?
i air down to 15psi for everything. you could probably do most of it.. 3:00 might be a problem and 5:00 i don’t think you could make it.
@@BRollOffroad thanks. I'm a subber!!
Political candidates be flip floppin' around more than that CB antenna
lol
Air down? If so to what pressure?
15psi in case you missed the last one.
@@BRollOffroad is that about normal for all trails??
@@chris74ify yea i picked 15 years ago and that's what my deflators are at so i never change it. i experimented in the beginning and settled on this.
@@BRollOffroad is this pressure for beeded locked tires...?
@@chris74ify nah I've gone as low as 8psi and never had beadlocks. this depends on LOTS of factors, heavy vehicles can pop beads, driving too fast in a turn, wheel lip size, sidewall rating etc. in general 15psi is pretty safe on anything unless it's huge.

4WD? I think you could, you’ll probably get some pinstripes in a couple spots and there’s a couple where you’ll need momentum to carry you through if you don’t have a locker, but you should be able to make it.
i agree, the trail was pretty tight even for me, quite a few new stripes but i’d say doable if you’re not worried about the paint.
Do you have a locker?
i think the "off road " model xterra, which he is driving, did have a rear locker.
correct, Offroad (later PRO-4X) came with a locker stock. at 4:44 Justin hits it and continues on his way 👍
@@BRollOffroad that's sweet.

it’s ~10miles up the 103 out of Idaho Springs 👍
