The OG VaporFly’s will take their rightful place on the mantle with your epic race medals and bibs. Either that, or with the pile of old shoes in the back of your closet as your newest dust bunny magnet..
Wow, I can't believe there weren't any tips on getting that epic Instagram #content when visiting NYC. I feel like you're holding back, Serious Runner!
One principal of creating education content is to break it down in digestible chunks, like they do on Masterclass. This module is focused on running routes in NYC
Too funny (as always)! Hills, technical trail running, strenuous bridge climbs... Forget the Colorado mountains, sounds like I need to move to New York.
You got NYC just right! I love the warning sign on Harlem Hill! Also when you yell at the car that you’re running here-so many NYC runners just blast past cars with green lights! 😂
😂😂😂 love your sense of humor. Made me feel great about living in Bogota Colombia and having to train at altitude (8300 ft), and I’m going to the NYC TCS marathon this year.
Heading to NYC next week for my very first marathon. 🤯 I'm coming from closer to where you normally are in the Boulder area. Don't shun me, I got in through the lottery and I'm more of what you might call a hobby jogger 😆 just trying to finish but hoping for sub 6
There’s a fantastic 50k route that circles the island. If the central east side construction is ever finished I’m going for the FKT… let me know if you want me to shoot you the route on Strava :) So sorry for your loss. Those OG Vaporflys always gave 104%
Hitting all the major NYC running highlights! Although not explicitly said, getting in a deep cut like running to the Emerald Inn after an easy run for trivia! 😉
It is a sad day when you have to retire a beloved pair of running shoes. You can find a new family to love but a good pair of shoes is hard to replace.
As a true New Yorker (Astoria, Queens born and raised), I wouldn't consider for a second putting on anything that brands themselves as a "New England" company. Shame on all of you.
Genuine question why don’t u ever cut your armpit hair? I mean come on buddy… think about the weight reduction and the subsequent speed bump.. easily 1 minute a mile,.. considering the jungle out there

@@TheSeriousRunner sign me up for a masterclass on serious running!
Also splitting it into multiple videos ensures that you have content for a longer time
as an uptown girlie, you really nailed the 'run across the GW bridge once and then never again' vibe
RIP vaporflies. The intro section had me rolling though
Brilliant - can't wait to see Serious takes on other cities!
Just what I need: some hype before the TCS New York City Marathon, totally epic footage of lit uptown tracks, and random Irish pubs 😆
the emerald inn is not just some "random irish pub"
Too funny (as always)! Hills, technical trail running, strenuous bridge climbs... Forget the Colorado mountains, sounds like I need to move to New York.
You can actually run the bridges vs hiking and eating in CO.

The risk of being hit by e-bikes or scooters is always a threat to a serious runner, no matter where they run
“…except maybe somewhere at altitude”- BRILLIANT!
I love running in CP,riverside and my Prospect Park!!!
Oh those bridges 😱
Press F to pay respects to OG Vaporflies

Waow, NYC looks absolutely epic.
Also sorry for your loss. Those shoes did some serious miles, and even managed a few swims…
💔 we've been through a lot together.
The new Riverbank track looks good!
HAHA, great content. Thanks for sharing NYC places to run.
I’m gonna make it there sometime!🗽 Too many hills here in Cali. Would love to try out some flat surfaces sometime.
Thanks for the laugh. Good stuff.😂

It's okay; there are many ways to get into NYCM. Have a great race! NYCM is one of a kind.

what brings me the most joy about this video is that like 6 people might appreciate the Uptown Track and Emerald Inn clips. 💙💛
also, Uptown Track is in way better shape than i remembered!
I miss uptown track 😥
They very recently updated the track.
I hope you do one on London, we have so many serious runners. We even have a Trackhouse ...
Interesting thought.... do know a few UA-camrs over in the UK who could help me with that... (i'm looking at you, Donato, Fordy, and Marcus)
welcome to NY!!
Love it!
best part of the video here 1:09
Need to make money to pay for the expensive Tracksmith and super shoes... until the brand endorsements come through that is...
beautifully done
Ah Central. Bout' time maybe for a Prospect Park vid! 1/2 the size and double (ish) the fun! Same designers too! Brooklyn!
Next trip to New York?
Like it! @@TheSeriousRunner 🏃♂
Lol i run in Central Park every morning b4 work, and yes, come in sweaty
cat hill is kinda hilly though
Spoken like someone from Chicago
I pulled out the hiking poles on Cat Hill, but @seriousrunner made me put them away 😓
A heartfelt thanks for the detailed information, I now feel I am thouroughly ready for the Marathon next week 👍

@@TheSeriousRunnerI watched the video and feel prepared to break the world record 🙏

This is seriously informative. Thank you for your service 🫡
The reservoir is flat but it’s a dirt path basically trail running
Ayo serious runner uses Koyfin 🤝🏻
Shorting Nike is some serious financial advice. 😂
pour an athletic brew run wild out for those vaps, gone but never forgotten 😥
RIP OG Vaporflies. You served well and proudly. Go to your rest and try not to think of that $500 shoe and what could have been.
The Vaporflys should be replaced by the adidas 500€ shoes 😅
who can put me in touch with someone at Adidas?
So sad to see those vaporflys go😢. I think you need a protein shake to feel better
💔
Which is richer, the state of New York or the Kingdom of Bhutan?
Hahaha doesn't look much of hills to me! :P
I live in thailand. can you run through the pollution? I inhale cigarettes, car exhausts, smoke, factory fumes, in humidity. ಥ_ಥ
When running the NYC Marathon, I always say, "What would Meb do?"
100%
All seriousness aside, are you running NYCM this year?
Not this year. Hoping to line up for CIM
Vale
Why don’t you like hills
too hard to hit goal pace
OG Vaporflys NOOOOOOO
The same shoes from 2017-2023? A serious runner gets new shoes every 3 weeks.
Need some brands to send me shoes
Crowded parks are the worst. Uggh.
