Great video! Have to say, that is the best looking E90 I’ve ever seen - that interior is gorgeous!!
Thanks a lot! We appreciate that :)
Beautiful workmanship fellas!
The least what can be said is wonderful!! Thank you.
Anyone know what the wheel and tyre specs are?! just stunning! another great video!
Good afternoon,
I was wondering if the MMI prime and reverse camera could be installed in my vehicle
Amazing job!!.. would like to add back up rear view camera to my E60xi
Thank you! We have 2 rear view cameras available for E60. We can check which one you're compatible with by the last 7 digits of your VIN.
Good job guys. Could you do the same with a no wire camera (transmitter an receiver)
Hi thanks. Unfortunately, we don't have such cameras.
The body work on this e90 is amazing. How do you avoid corrupting your FRM footwell module as you reconnect your battery?
Hi! It is safe to disconnect the battery to work on the electronic components of the car as long as it is done correctly as Dylan did 1:05 then when everything is put back together you connect back the battery without any risks.
Great video! what about models that don't have iDrive? is there a 3rd party screen that could work with this rearview camera?
Hello, could you provide your car’s VIN? We need to learn the details about your car to learn if it is possible in this particular case :)
@@bimmer-tech sent you a DM on Facebook. cheers!
Do you have any 2911 BMW 328i (E93) things to consider when installing on this car? I have an Eonon Q65Pro installed that has a digital rear view camera input capability. Should this be plug and play or any decoding?
We have no knowledge of the Eonon products and their specifics. It should be possible to connect our camera to the power connector and RCA (analog) video connector. However, for full compatibility, we recommend installing our cameras with our MMIs.
Good video man, does the same camera fit for E91
Yes, it does, but to know if it fits your exact vehicle you'll need to decode your VIN here: www.bimmer-tech.net/category-rear-view-camera-retrofit-mmi
The kit is so perfectly prepared that all you learn here is how to pass the cable from the back to the front of the vehicle... :/
PS: Nice M3, BTW.
What rear view camera options do you offer for single hump e9x?
You may have a possibility to add a Rear view Camera (OEM Integration) or Rear View Camera (MMI). Send us the last 7 digits of your VIN and we'll check which one suits your car.
Will your rear camera work with the BMW Alpine screen? Some rear cameras do not. 2007 BMW 335i 4-door sedan
Since the camera is connected to the MMI, not the Head Unit directly, everything should be working fine.
Im interested! Disconnecting the battery means that you need to input the radio unlock code? I have no clue where is mine !
You should be able to retrieve the code by visiting the dealership or any other car repair shop specializing in BMWs.
Is the OEM rear view integration using a BMW/OEM camera or is it aftermarket?
It consists entirely of genuine OEM BMW parts.
I have ‘10 E90 with PDC from factory. After connecting a back up camera, will the PDC work as normal?
yep - it will work as it should :)
Did i need car play for that? Or i can use it with my CIC?
For that particular product you need one, but we also offer OEM rear view and it works with CIC :)
Hello, i’m doing this job right now and the backup camera trunk release handle will not go in. once i get it in it just stays loose and wiggles everywhere
Please contact our support team at support@bimmer-tech.net with the details of your car and purchase and they will do their best to help you :)
Hello, is there activation coding to do or it's plug&play ?
Hi, it's fully plug & play. No coding needed.
can I fit the camera without having that blue mmi box or do I need activation
I'm waiting for the answer to inayat's question
Update: @BIMMERTECH. What wheels are on this M3? 😍
Hey! Unfortunately we don't know what kind of wheels they are cause they were client's custom made ones. Sorry for the disappointing answer, but we really have no idea...
does it really not work on a 2006 e90 with idrive? sad
Sadly not :(
Where exactly did you place the camera?
It goes through trunk release button.
Are those the stock m3 wheels?
The car shown in the video was a customer's car that visited us for the installation. Unfortunately, we do not have any additional information on it.
No guideline i taught the the mmi could had the guideline ?
If you mean a guideline on how to use the CarPlay we have it in a separate video - ua-cam.com/video/IM5RcSvFWcA/v-deo.html
Does it work on the 2007 version ?
Should work, but to make sure type your VIN on our website :)
If I don't have iDrive would I still need that unit
Hey, if you don't have a Idrive screen, you can't have it, sorry!
what if an old BMW with no display unit?
Then you should get a iDrive system retrofit first: www.bimmer-tech.net/category-bmw-cic-navigation-system-retrofit
@@bimmer-tech that’s good but so pricey, I will try a Apple play display with backup view cam
I WISH SOMEBODY WOULD POST A VIDEO OF THAT EXACT CAMERA BUT GOING TO A PORTABLE MONITOR IN THE FRONT OF THE CAR BECAUSE I HAVE A 3 SERIES THAT HAS NO CAMERA NO NAVIGATION NO BACKUP SCREEN NO SCREEN WHATSOEVER SO I HAVE TO PROVIDE THE SCREEN SO WHEN I INSTALLED THIS CAMERA THE ONE THAT YOU HAVE AND PLUGGED IT IN TO MY SCREEN IN THE FRONT AS SOON AS I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE IT BLEW THE SCREEN I GUESS THE FUSE AND IT HAS NEVER WORKED AGAIN.... NOT EVERYBODY HAS A SCREEN IN THEIR CAR NOT EVERYBODY GOT NAVIGATION. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT THERE'S A GROUNDING ISSUE SOMEWHERE IF YOU'RE ONLY PLUGGING IT IN TO THE BMW SOCKET AND THEN YOU'RE RUNNING A WIRE TO THE FRONT OF THE CAR I KEPT ASKING MYSELF HOW IS THIS GROUNDED AND ACTUALLY IT WASN'T!
Did you contact our support team with that issue? If not please contact them with your order number and explain in detail what has happened. They'll appreciate your feedback.
Struggling to fit the handle with camera into the slot.
Please contact our support team at support@bimmer-tech.net and they'll instruct you what to do.
@@bimmer-tech got it in bro, just have to wire it
nvm didnt know its this much effort
Is it really?
This is crazy almost whole car stripped just for one camera
The wiring dies require a bit of deconstruction, but it is not that much work as it seems :)
DO NOT USE WD40!! WD40 degrades rubber, use silicone spray!
That too much work for a camera
