he has had jobs before, he drove the garbage truck for the park for levi but he got drunk and tipped it and as corey puts it "sparks were flying everywhere" he was drunk.
This scene was filmed near Penhorn Mall in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. I used to see these guys filming all over Halifax and Dartmouth. I went to school with Lucy. She was my biology lab partner for one term back in 1988 at Dartmouth High School.
Complete opposite of her character. She didn't drink, smoke or do drugs. Not as far as I could tell. Both of her parents were professionals. I think one was a professor and the other was in a medical profession. She used to pal around with a guy named Jude. Forget his last name tho.
Del I'm talking about real life dude. She made very public accusations of rape that turned out being completely false. Just cause he rejected her, guys a fucking dick but she ruined his life and he didn't deserve it
I know what you meant. She was 17. Of course she hadn't accuse anyone of rape. This was high school. LOL Most of us didn't even know what rape meant or at the very least had ever heard the word.
That’s basically every job everywhere. “Well, you’re here right? So you shouldn’t mind doing this other job you weren’t hired to do, since you’re here and already working and all.”
I like how Ricky and all the security guards can’t keep their balance on the slope to save their lives but Julian just waltzes down there like no big deal.
Lmao, how Ricky says "They tell me to stop people from stealing carts, how hard can that be?" Then it cuts to Bubbles...People don't realize how much fucking money there is in shopping carts!
RIP Penhorn Mall. Any time I was in the city I'd go out of my way to the record store that used to be in the mall. They always had the best selection of anything you were looking for
Seasons 1 through 5 were the best for me. Season 6 is the beginning of the downfall. 7 was better than 6, but not as good as first 5. 8 and beyond are terrible. When the cast took over the producing, writing and directing, the show lost its feel that the original producers had created.
When Ricky trips and slides down the hill is their best moment together with the dryer. First time i watched this i was so stoned and drunk. I couldn't stop laughing for like an hour. This show especially the 7 original seasons and they early special like the epic Christmas special is some of the best comedy ever in tv history
I remember walking my dog as a kid around Penhorn lake and saw these guys falling down while in the woods. Didn’t realize it was the Trailer Park Boys till years later.
sobubbles is taking 25 carts a week average and selling them for 18$ each and he said hes just selling them back and forth so thatmans hes selling aprox 50 cars a weeks for aprox 18$ and that brings about 3,600$ a month, which he then spends mostly on catfood ofcourse.
in 1972 i moved to center street dartmouth , used to fish rainbow trout in penhorn lake and have passed the old poppe shop , later was a moore's clothing and yes , at that very spot in 1973 summer , i remember shopping carts , down that very fn hill , WOW! MAN!
I kinda liked Bubbles in the earlier episodes like this when it wasn’t clear if he was a little “slow” or what his deal was. You don’t expect a googly-eyed bastard to drop f-bombs like that
Ricky's contempt and hostility towards Terry is incredible! I don't think I've ever talked to a single co-worker like that, and I've had some that deserved it. Also, Ricky's boss is a good actor. You can feel the guy's pain.
The brilliance of this and the two episodes before it is that Julian the so-called “smart” one is coming up with all the dumb schemes that don’t work and fuck up rickys life when he’s trying to go legit. But bc he’s more articulate Ricky looks like the “stupid” one. It’s a fucking brilliant undercurrent
I remember seeing this for the first time about 20 years ago. I don't typically laugh out loud at TV comedy because I find most of it mind numbingly bad, but watching this for the first time I was laughing so hard I thought i was going to pass out. Although so much of it was silly broad slapstick, there were so many small comedic details constantly hitting me, that I was mesmerized. Clattenburg was a true comedy genius.
Casi me da un ataque en esta escena, especialmente cuando empezaron a tirar carritos desde arriba y Ricky continuaba cayéndose. Jajajajaja Está serie es demasiado. Gracias por tanto Netflix.
Didn't bother to read all the other comments, but... Shoutout to PENHORN MALL! The first time I saw this scene, it had already been some time since the Sobey's had closed. There was always a million carts down that hill, either due to the wind blowing carts around, laziness, or someone like Bubbles. Classic.
I love how julian just shows up in the frame out of nowhere
Sean Cheatham go fuck yourself julian
i love how Julian always has a glas in gis hand, even while driving

Laughed so hard when people other than bubbles started throwing carts down there lmao like it's a regular thing
Whoopsie
It was a real thing back then lol penhorn mall
@Edgar Alvarez been doin it 18 years
I like how Ricky is like 40 years old and this is the first job he has had that is not against the law.
he has had jobs before, he drove the garbage truck for the park for levi but he got drunk and tipped it and as corey puts it "sparks were flying everywhere" he was drunk.

Was she a crazy bitch back then too? Any false accusations of rape?
Serious questions

These carts are public domain Ricky
"terry I am on fucking carts" "well you're here at the mall aren't you?"... lmao best part
Im outside the mall fuck off
Terry's been paid too little for too long
That’s basically every job everywhere. “Well, you’re here right? So you shouldn’t mind doing this other job you weren’t hired to do, since you’re here and already working and all.”

What are you doing? You can't be touching the 🛒 s like this...
No way…you’re in charge of the fuckin carts?
I once convinced a bunch of Brits that this show is a documentary depicting typical Canadian life and culture.
Dave Carves Wood That is if Canada was more like the USA. Considering that we let anyone in. You'd see more differences in culture.
Dave Carves Wood I know exactly what you mean tho😂
Fuck your self
this is exactly what rural canada is like though
I mean Brits Google prices interfering again
The way ricky slides down the hill like a cartoon character has me dying lmao 3:28
Oh man when ricky kept falling down the hill i couldnt take it anymore i was laughing so hard.

I couldnt stop fkn laughing at that scene
Robb Wells is good at lots of things. Falling down hills is one of them.

The balance of a dirty dancer
Ricky sliding down on his face was a genuine accident
@@billhammock4178 I hadn’t heard that before. It came off as absolutely hysterical in the scene.
This is the scene that got me into this series
Mk Red for me it was the scene in season 1 where the boys and cory and trevor rob the grocery store
As your 100th like, I can that I agree.

25 carts a week x 52 weeks x $18 a cart x 18 yrs = $421,000. Bubbles making bank
That’s only 23k a year
Math checks out
do you have any idea how much cat treats cost
That's more then layhe and bobandy
Ummmmmn...No.
I wish bubbles being this greasy ..he changed so much
Chuck Liddell he hauled shopping carts all the time

The whole show went downhill with Netflix lol
I love it when someone is just throwing carts down the hill when Julian is talking to Ricky lmfao
It was this scene that started my love for this show!!!
This scene, and the crazy gun battle in the supermarket, changed my life and made me a fan of TPB

This is one of my favorites as well! Ricky's falls are always hilarious
In season 7 he kept falling down in the water that was funny as well
They’ve changed so much, the show was so much better back then
Bubble's strategy is identical to when Ricky was stealing lawn furniture, putting it out at the end of the driveway to be picked up as garbage
Love how Ricky is actually trying to make a legal living and Bubbles and Julian mess it up lmao
3:26 funniest fall of all time
the fucking harness and rope on the other employee is the funniest thing ever LOL
I had to rewind the part where Ricky falls down the hill, like five times. His “fuck” is perfect. I was dying 😂

Bubbles not realizing ricky is a security guard is fucking classic. "Cant you see what im wearing" LMAO king of the carts

the other mall cops using a rope system lmao.

Every once in a while I need to relax by watching Trailer Park Boys.
Ricky's contempt and hostility towards Terry is incredible! I don't think I've ever talked to a single co-worker like that, and I've had some that deserved it.
Also, Ricky's boss is a good actor. You can feel the guy's pain.
84 people are in charge of the fackin' kerts.
Such a great scene! Love this show.
these carts are public domain ricky
Ricky "King of the Carts" Lafleur

theres no way bubbles is making 400 bucks a week, lol
He makes like 80 bucks a month... just enough for cat food and lot fees i guess..

he said he sells the carts for 18$ each. 18 per cart X 5 carts per day X 5 days a week is 450 bucks a week.
high repair expenses
That's more than what my bf makes atm and he's a plumber/gas engineer 😂😂😂
This is the greatest scene of all time tv
Yep this was HYSTERICAL
