I agree. With the rare exception of PFR or Jars of Clay putting out an album it was game over. White as Snow by Justin Cofield was the only track that caught my attention in the last 25 years and I play bass at my local church. Sad
they were the first band in christian music that had great production that sounded like mainsteam music.. i used to think a lot of Christian bands were cheesy and typical but DC Talk was amazing and they did the best cover of lean on me
Oh man. You hit the nail on the head. DC Talk was waay before time. I miss them so much. Our young people in this generation need to listen to them. DC Talk you're needed!!!
A legitimately great song too! Even among Christians it can be hard to not be embarrassed by the obsessive seeming devotion I sometimes have, so this song helps me embrace it.
I used to be an orthodox Christian. I still love DC Talk. I give love directly to God, I don't need any orthodox churches to brainwash me and tell me how to love God my father.
Who's listening in 2020 during the pandemic time?!?! Its crazy how this video is showing the way we are living now in these times with masks on during the Coronavirus outbreak.
what is the point of being a devout atheist? Is it just, like, you refuse to be duped by a religion so you always stay on your guard to avoid it. That is how you are devout? I dont understand it any other way.
Thank God for DC Talk through my teen years. They made Christian music cool. Youth group was cool & fun, yet ALWAYS pointed to Jesus. Christian music festivals through the summer, going to concerts with friends throughout the school year, audio adrenaline, DC talk. Christians would get in my car and never complain when DC Talk was playing
I never was much for Christian music, but DC Talk was the exception. They are talented singers and producers and the depth of their music really touched me. The layers, harmonies and composition are excellent. Their songs reached my heart and I hope they get back together. Whenever my faith falters, I listen to this song. I want to be consumed too.
This song brings me to tears when I listen to it. It's truly a love song to our Lord Jesus. The words of this song truly express how in love we should be with Christ, because He is unconditionally in love with us and thirsts for us
Crazy. I’m here right now looking this song up because this was one of my favorite songs like 15 or 20 years ago. It’s been in my head these last few weeks and I looked it up on UA-cam because I was thinking about what’s going on right now with coronavirus, social distancing and wearing masks. This video was stuck in my head, and I came here and watched it and then saw other people were thinking the same thing as me. Prophetic that DC Talk made this video back in the day !
My mom use to play this kind of music when I was a kid brings good memories when my mom loved the Lord back then. Pray for her that she comes back to Him
Keep on praying 🙏 my sister abandoned her faith for nearly a decade and we were always praying for her and she came back to the lord several years ago. Her life radically transformed for the better
Truly the first and last Christian band I ever truly genuinely loved. I'm not a religious person, but their music was just good. This was kind of the vegetables your mom blended up into the spaghetti sauce, so you wouldn't know they were there and you'd eat them.
The longer you linger in the presence of the LORD, the greater He becomes.... Tonight, I revisited this song after I have been having a difficult time in my walk with Jesus. Lately, I have been in Matthew - letting His Word re-reshape my mind (Romans 12). While listening to this, I seriously just want to scream these lyrics to Him after staying in His presence and lingering there! Seriously, if you are a born again Christian, watch what happens when you force yourself to sit in presence for a long time: move the thoughts of tv shows, movies, worries, hobbies, conversations, etc. aside until you quiet your mind before Him. Watch your focus slowly be put on Him - how freeing to not have to think of yourself at all! His majesty becomes so overwhelming! How incredible and gracious and powerful is the Sovereign God!
Thank you! was why I went looking for it, not because of " losing our freedoms to masks" New Year's weekend 2 years ago I had been wearing PPE for over 2 months to visit my son, my only child,my best friend. He had survived so much but his lungs were damaged from sars which put him in a 2 month coma & on life support. Then even tho no one wants to admit it was here, both he & a friend from the same rehab/nursing facility were in the same CCU. The same Dr who'd treated him before said none of their testing showed positive. Privately 2 Drs who'd cared for him told me the only thing that looked plausible was what Donald called the "China Virus". The reason it was not recognized as being here was no proof, no tests. Those of us who went thru this with loved ones know better. My son & his friend died two days apart. She was in her 30s,he was in his 40s. Masks give us freedom to breathe & survive. If it were your child you'd see that.
awesome!!! I just rededicated my life ri Christ.....FIRE FIRE FIRE....JUST WANT TO BE CONSUMED BY HIS LOVE PEACE AND JOY!!!!! JESUS LOVES YOU ALLL...CINDY
What's amazing about D.C.Talk is their passion and desire to glorify God through their harmonizing vocals! I'm 66 years young and was told about them by a' young preschool teacher back in 1989-1990! She was around 18 at the time! Their songs are still relevant to this day! If you did not know, now you know! 😅😂😂 Blessings
I'd always loved this song, because when I first heard it, I had just begun walking in faith, back in 2000. I used to pray nonstop letting the words of this song straight minister to me!! Also, many years later, I saw this video, and observed that it was filmed in my hometown Toronto. It's amazing, how they made our modern looking City Hall to look like a dystopian capital building and it's mask-wearing lemmings in ranks. I love also, how the Humber Bridge is used as a bridge of freedom by those that tore their masks off. I love the video, and how it used landmarks around my city, Toronto to convey DC Talk's message!🇨🇦🙏
The lord asked me to come and watch this video 3 days ago, the video is indeed prophetic and God Inspired, and it does tell us how the corona pandemic will come to an end, with a spark from men and women of faith (the church) who will refuse to live by mens laws but by faith, this faith will spark a revival across the entire world, bringing many to salvation and true life in christ. wow wow wow,,,,,,,,thank you lord jesus
Ever since Covid. I've been putting this video at random times on my Facebook page. We need to all do what the guy does at the end and have Faith that we can breathe without control because God gave us breath and he will sustain it.
En pleno 2021 no dejo de escucharla. DC talk fue la banda de rock Gospel más famosa de todos los tiempos. Música de este nivel pocos lo logran hacer. Esperamos un reencuentro de Toby Mac, Kevin Max y Michael Tait
OMG I'm actually CRYING. This song AND this video brings back so many memories. I remember watching this all the time when I was like 7-8. This...oh my goodness. SUch a GOOD band. I think together they sound the best. Seperately...its just not the same. My gosh, Im gonna look up all the DCT videos now. I love the meaning and feel in this video too! #LongLiveDCTalk
I really wish the DCboys would reunite for a tour. They had a magical quality that I just love. Their musical energy and anointing meshed together to have a wonderful power in their music. TobyMac has to be my favorite CCM artist right now and I saw that in a concert in 1991. I prayed God would take him to the top...still miss DCTalk though.
wow..I grew up with listening to DC talk in youth group. Our worship leader turned back to her previous sins after she had come clean from drugs. I just remember she was such a great leader at the time. she introduced DC talk to me when I was 10 back in 1995. such a great group with powerful ballads. this song is so magnificent. never heard it until just last week or so. I thank God for this song. and I also continued to pray even more so for our youth leader. I hope He opened that door for her once more.
Nothing will ever hit like 90’s and very early 2000s contemporary Christian music 🖐🏻 this was the golden age of music ❤ glad I got to hear them, and others live at Soulfest during this time, such a moving and life changing experience 👍🏻
@pinkchaos Yes, this is very nostalgic for me too. By the way, I have a request that you pray for Chester Bennington's family, friends and fans. Let's show them God's love and support in their mourning from losing Chester. The pain, it never entirely gets easy, nor does the love ever grow irrelevant. Also please pray for Israel, they need it desperately! Thank you and God bless you and your day 💙
The 2 greatest Christian vocalists ever and the best white Christian rapper ever. This was the Christian version of the Beatles. When they broke up, the Christian music community lost everything.
+Chris Mac I wrote an article about just that - www.breathecast.com/articles/is-dc-talk-christian-musics-beatles-and-does-that-make-kevin-max-its-john-lennon-interview-part-3-23110/
I tried to read your article, I really did, I was very much interested. But with the incredibly annoying autoplay video ads that restart on their own every two minutes, it's almost impossible to enjoy.
you said it right! They broke barriers along with Kirk Franklin in the 80s and 90s. They brought hiphop/rap and rock/pop to the christian music industry and they were favorable in mainstream music too. The CCM industry is kinda eh now
Dude - you are not alone. I been listening to Metal my whole life since my uncles introduced me to it...however, I own plenty-o CCM: Eric Champion, DC, Bryan Duncan, Smitty, Out of the Grey, Susan Ashton, Mastedon, Sacred Warrior, Barren Cross, etc. I enjoy all music. If it inspires me to be a better human being and gives me perspective, I buy it. Music does not have to contain the words God, Spirit, Jesus, etc. to inspire i.e. this song only uses the word GOD once in the lyrics and yet it has such a powerful message of total surrender to God. I have lots of secular music that inspires me the same way. If it does not inspire me in a good way then I stay away from it. Either way, bro. we make our own choices: hopefully they will always be choices that will lead us towards Light and Truth.
Thx, bud. Just a perspective is all. Music is a gift that is expressed in so many genres [Metal, Pop, R&B, Country, Classical, Ambient, Rock, Contemporary Christian Music, Traditional Gospel, etc.] All of it I enjoy......I give thanks to God for it all because when it is used rightly, it can inspire the soul...But when it is used wrongly, it can be destructive. So, the key is to be prudent and wise about what we allow our mind and soul to be influenced.
The LORD has been impressing on me the importance of being fully CONSUMED by Him... Notice all the scriptures that say "putting on Christ", being "baptized into Christ", and that say drinking of the same Spirit. That's from the outside in and the inside out, through and through. Christ (anointed) like having His oil poured down over you fully immersing you, and drinking His Spirit means being filled with His Spirit. It's time to be fully consumed by Him, to be "all in", through and through, inside out, and outside in. His consuming fire purifying you, and burning away everything unpure.
Dinoritah Valter me ! This song video has been stuck in my head these last few weeks because the video is prophetic about what we are going through right now!
This is my 2nd favorite DCT video. Number one for me is "The Hard Way" filmed at s super Max prison in Michigan in the dead of winter. Can't get it out of my system.
Love love this group and yes they are in a league of their own because of the profoundness of their lyrics. I wonder why they are missed though, considering they are still involved in music, just not as the same group. Actually, I think the breakup was a blessing because we now have TobyMac and Newsboys- 2 great artists instead of 1
Dero Daniels I would say because the charm that DC talk had. I do enjoy Toby Mac though. Newsboys is ok to me, I prefer the 1992-2009 era. But all in all, as long as someone is being blessed, that's most important I presume.
I saw D.C.Talk in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia when they had recorded their brown covered CD. It was a great Concert. Thank you DC Talk. Blessings from Matthew Ansell
Always a blessing finding worship songs that I've loved when i was in my youth group over 20 years ago. The world is getting worse, however God's grace is increasing for us,His chosen children.
Who could have ever imagined the time the video was released that today we would be living a situation like the one the clip shows. Soon we'll breathe his pure air again.
Mary Kate Tomasetti. Said it right. This is how I see this song. & when I song this song to the lord. I cry my soul out to God. I live him SOO MUCH .Thank you DC TALK
I remember when I was 20 years old, and this was in a WOW 2000 cassette video, with la rue, and Rebecca St. James to name a couple. That was when I gave my life over to God. That same year, too.
Nowadays, If I were to play this at a gathering There would me eyes darted at me...What happened to us being radical for Christ? To not being afraid to express our truth. This life isn't all happiness and Peace but It's still one I'd rather live tban any other life. This kind of christian music shouldn't be restricted from the youth.
Right here, man! Still sad they don’t make albums anymore 😢. This takes me back to a time before my belief was interrupted. It’s good to be focused on Christ again. 🙏🏻☝🏻✝️
This was the absolute peak of Christian contemporary music! Nothing today comes close to this!
Que talento de estos chicos, voces tan diferentes, son todo
True!!!!!!!!
Was at Liberty when they showed (or should I say, returned)! Yeah, it was insane!
I agree. With the rare exception of PFR or Jars of Clay putting out an album it was game over. White as Snow by Justin Cofield was the only track that caught my attention in the last 25 years and I play bass at my local church. Sad
I'd say Delirious was just as good too.
DC-Talk was way ahead of their time and to this day, Contemporary Christian Music still has NOT caught up with them. I truly do miss them terribly.
Me too. They were great.

Jon Doe 😊👍
I will agree on that, they rocked!!! I miss them and I still dance to their music all the time. I miss them dearly.
DC Talk = the type of musicians that only come around once every 1,000 years or so
es verdad, I agree that your comments are true.
Listened to this alot during military deployments, saved me from getting into real shenanigans. Epic album.
This is actually a legitimately great music video.
A legitimately great song too! Even among Christians it can be hard to not be embarrassed by the obsessive seeming devotion I sometimes have, so this song helps me embrace it.
Seems prophetic now, don't it?
during this corona thing I remembered this video. won't say it's fake but it's surely being "milked" for a purpose.
Yes indeed!
@@jason-vv6kv it was made over 20 years ago!
Kevin Max and Michael Tait harmonize so well that it gives me chills. God truly blessed these three men with talent.

My favorite DC Talk song.

From an 80s/90s kid… this song moved me when I played it on a CD in my car on the way to school and still does in 2024!!!!!

This is on the level of prophetic, right? This video is two decades ahead of where it should be. How amazing!
I never was much for Christian music, but DC Talk was the exception. They are talented singers and producers and the depth of their music really touched me. So, the key is to be prudent and wise about what we allow our mind and soul to be influenced.
well said
This video is VERY relevant in society now.
Amen
Who came to watch it in the middle of the pandemic event COVID-19 on 2020?
Dinoritah Valter me !
This song video has been stuck in my head these last few weeks because the video is prophetic about what we are going through right now!
😐
I think this is DC Talk's best ballad to date. It's too chilling. Half the comment section can just go somewhere, this was and is my song.
+mrm64 dead on my friend!! LOVE IT!! miss these guys
But all in all, as long as someone is being blessed, that's most important I presume.
mrm6
coolest Christian band to this day
I woke up in December 2023 singing this, Dive, and Jesus Freak out of the blue. ❤🙌🏽
When i first saw this video back when was released i never imagined that we’ll be living like this in the 2020!

What a stand in maturity these three men made for Jesus Christ Our Ultimate Love And King
I love 💕 song 🎵
Ah yes, just as I hoped. Came here after watching the latest Messyge and I'm surrounded by others doing the same. 😂
Mary Kate Tomasetti.
Said it right. This is how I see this song. & when I song this song to the lord. I cry my soul out to God. I live him SOO MUCH .Thank you DC TALK
Like a burning 🔥 runnin through my veins 🙏🏽
This is one of my all time favorite dc Talk songs! Wish they would do a reunion tour!
I remember when I was 20 years old, and this was in a WOW 2000 cassette video, with la rue, and Rebecca St. James to name a couple. That was when I gave my life over to God. That same year, too.
Still one of the best songs I've ever heard.
Yeah!
I agree
Not into Christian Music much, but this Song is Really Good ☺️.
I'm not even Christian anymore but DC Talk STILL goes so hard.
This all started with "15 days to flatten the curve."
dang ! I need to go to bed but I'm enjoying watching these videos of some of my favorites songs ever.
Some scenes of this clip look our current days because from Covid-19 (Sars-Cov-2).
Matheus Feitosa Kevin Max joked about that recently in his Feifdom of Kevin Max group.
Romantic song, when l listen, l have nice memories. Blessings for DC talk.
Very soulful indeed. Their music is no longer played on the radio nowadays...
Hey, Rene Loskot and Scott Brockman remember this tune?
Yes, I do!
Rene Loskot

Doesn't matter what I lose, I am yours... Thank you Jesus
I have loved this song since it came out back in 1998. I still get emotional listening to it & it still gives me goosebumps. ❤️
This is a futuristic piece of art in 2023. After covid, I am not surprise that this might happen in the near future.
I love 💕 songs
how this song is still short of a million views is beyond me!!!! :o
I wanna cry… how ahead of their time in ideas were these guys!?! Love you guys!
"Anytime, anyplace, you invade my space. You consume me"
Such a great album! Not even good for a Christian album just a great album period. The fact that it’s about praising Jesus just makes it better!!
Praise God for AWAKENING! The Great Harvest is coming! Get ready Saints of God. Raise up your people Father! In Jesus' Name! And Amen!
This still moves me to tears….. The money or the box…. 😢
this is my fave song from them
I miss DC Talk 20 years later I there music still hits home..
Best Christian music group of all time!! At least to me :)
All these years later, this is still my favorite DC Talk song of all time
Don't you all just love it when Christians fight among themselves? Said no one ever.
This was foreshadowing what's going on today
One of my favorite DC songs, I'm so pumped for a 2015 reunion tour! No way I miss it when they roll through town.
Whose listening in 2019?
Oh Yeah!
Right here, man! Still sad they don’t make albums anymore 😢. This takes me back to a time before my belief was interrupted. It’s good to be focused on Christ again. 🙏🏻☝🏻✝️
This one never gets old! God consume every day!! Less of me, more Jesus!
Right here
😁
Praise Jesus! Lord Consume me!
