- I take the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H tires for a spin and let you know my thoughts! I was looking for a faster tire to gain a bit of an edge at an upcoming gravel race. Do they have what it takes?

Thanks man, this was very helpful, i live in a country where cycling isn't really a thing, and we get 2nd hand parts, i been stalking the local markets for months now, and i can't believe my luck when not only did i find a pair of gravel tires, but they're in amazing condition, perfect size and a good price, and to top that off, all round amazing reviews about the Cinturato, Thank you man!! Best of luck for your race day
Thank you sir!!! Good luck on your cycling journey as well!!! 🤘
I have these tires on a couple of bikes and love them. I also run the Pirelli Cinturato RCX for when I need a little more grip.
Yeah, I've come to really like them so far. 🤘
Just fitted these(45mm) on my Kona Sutra for some all terrain touring and after the initial test ride I am pleased. Comfortable, fast, typical Pirelli drop-in when cornering. I found myself hitting the corners much faster. I even took them down some sloppy single track as an opportunity to practice my (un)controlled sliding. They were all over the place in the mud. Good fun though. I’ll stick with these for the rest of spring and summer and then I might try the M version.
Good stuff. I just swapped out for the 45mm's for Unbound in a couple of weeks. Have to go as wide as possible as it's the north course this year.
Coming from the GR1s on my Sl5, I switched over to the Cinturato M and I have to say that they feel faster than the GR1s (which I also loved). Have a cyclocross race Sunday on them, so we will see how they do. Might have to check out the H for my second set of imaginary wheels! Good luck on your race!
Great comment! Thank you! Not prepared for it, but I'll do my best. Keep me posted on your cyclocross race as well. 🤘 interesting that the Ms feel faster than the GR1s.
I've run the H's in a 45 width for over 1200 miles on my Santa Cruz Stigmata. They run big, around 48 on my internal 23 rims. Had them in all types of conditions, tarmac, chunky fire roads, fast gravel, primitive forest and logging roads and plenty of singletrack, both smooth and rocky. Also have ran them in wet and muddy conditions as well. IMO, they're amazing. No flats (yet) and tread life has been very good. I'm around 170 kitted and for mixed terrain run 38/37. It's a very damp feeling, smooth ride at those pressures. The one thing I've noted is what a broad range of pressures they respond to. I don't hesitate to pump the up to 50 front and back for all paved conditions and as low 30's
for more technical singletrack. They're fast, durable and surprisingly grippy. Was going to get the M's but really glad I grabbed the H's.
FANTASTIC comment. I just did two separate 50+ mile gravel races the past 2 weekends with about 8000ft of climbing combined, and they were great. I noticed a higher than normal avg speed for myself (about .8 to 1.0 mph faster) and rode chunky, deep and loose gravel, fast gravel (watch my unPAved video I just posted) along with some roads. I'm really digging these. I'm glad I went with the H's as well. Might stick with these for all of next year. 🤘
Just got these tires. They are soo quick. The naturally want to roll
Absolutely do!! I'm doing Unbound 100 this year. North Course. Little more climby and much chunkier. I may run these there. Still figuring that part out.
I love how the video opens up with “bikes”! And then the first shot you see a minivan 😂😂😂😂
Real life, man! Hahahaha
I used these tires when I first bought my gravel bike in 2021. Then they became hard to get and when you could get them again the cost went up $25 - $30. I switched over to Gravel King SS tires which I found just as fast and far cheaper. They are very durable as well.
My buddy runs them and loves them. I am doing Unbound this year and may switch over.
Ouch you running them higher in psi, I would experiment in the lower range to make full use of the great casing they gave. Would add some extra comfort for sure. Nice wheels btw.👍🏻
I may drop them down a pound or so, but I double checked some of the psi sites after this ride and it's spot on for what's recommended. Interesting, I know. I have a big ride tomorrow with these, and I'll experiment with a bit less psi 🤘
S-Works Pathfinder in 42C is amazing, lighter than anything else in that width. Nothing else is faster on pavement and hardpack. Only place its not fast is mud. Ran 6 gravel races in PA and VA on them this year and flawless performance. Try them
Yeah they look nice! Maybe I'll give them a shot after these get worn out. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@BIIIKES make sure its the s-works version as they are over 100g per tire lighter than the regular pros. Yea they are expensive but in an arms race I want the biggest weapons
Yep, I vetted them out 😉 Nah, they aren't terribly expensive. They are less than the Pirellis I'm currently running. 👌
Agree on the S-Works Pathfinder Pro. Fastest tire I've tried to date.
I'll have to give them a shot.
Hi there from Australia. After use, have you lowered the psi?
Hello!! I kept around 39 psi rear 37 front. All personal preference and catered to the terrain for that day. 👍
Are the tyres cinturato gravel H in size 700x35 same quick as 700x40 and still comfortable by offroad ride?
Hello! I've only tried the 40mm and 45mm sizes. I personally wouldn't do anything smaller than 40mm. My personal preference.
SO but what is the speedest and low wieight tires for gravel?
Not sure how to answer that. There are a lot of options.
its not chiterato ...I do not see an H in the spelling it is sin-tur-ato
It's pronounced Cheen-ter-rato, despite the spelling.
