The Honda Grom continues to be the best-selling minimoto in 2024, but is it still the best? Here's why you should pick a Navi, #kawasaki Z125, monkey. Also here's why I bought the Grom instead.

Keep doing more motorcycle content, Kirk! Would love for you to discuss/ review cruisers especially Honda’s, like the Rebel and Fury.
Thanks! Stay tuned!
Only reason to get a Navi is if you hate riding the bus.
or catching an uber/lyft ride
Glad you are happy with your Grom! Just riding is awesome on a little bike! I bought the z because I thought the styling looks way better, it handles better, adjustable rear suspension, and just better for me!
Nice Fj-Cruiser at 6:18 on the right. And these small bikes are fun. Until you reach some mountain roads, then the ride can get really looong.😅 But not much of a problem in southern Florida.
From my experience from riding these minis the hondas are pretty much the best when it comes to quality, just pick which form factor you like. Most will recommend the Benelli TNT 135 as an alternative but no. The fit and finnish just isn't there. That CFMOTO is pretty good though. They're a popular company here but still lower than the honda.
I wanted a Grom for years, but when the Monkey came about I was sold, I wanted new to tick two bucket list goals that would never get fulfilled in my life any other way, 1. One day own brand new vehicle, 2. Possess a white or Yellow vehicle, to justify spending on the most expensive vehicle I've had to date, I sold my ZX9RE1 which was my longest owned vehicle and main bike, so now 125 is the biggest bike I own!.. no regrets, going slow on a monkey is as fun as going fast on a ninja! 💁♂️👍😅
Are the pro tapers the klx bar?
i love these videos. been riding for a year and have never heard of a whale tail!
Yooo thanks for the video where can I get this orange and black ridding shirt? It match my nitric orange 🍊 24
I love riding. I hope you have a blast.
Your bike was down for a couple of days because of handlebars. I am pretty sure it took me 15 minutes to change my bars and I had to reroute the clutch cable because it wasn’t long enough, but there is a way and it’s not hard to figure out.
My first bike was a 06 SV 650 I rode that for 3 years before I got a grom. Since I've had the grom I've rarely got on the SV and I kinda feel bad but the grom is so much fun
I don't know if you realized it or not but you said the Honda Navi you don't have to change the oil???
Cool bike, I went with the Honda Monkey, drive it on LBI N.J., where the speed limit in the summer is limited to 35mph.
What in the aftermarket would you possibly want that they don’t make for the z125 pro? Just curious! Because I bought one, love it, and the aftermarket makes absolutely everything that I’ve ever needed or wanted!
How about a decent rear rack for a removable top case, that I can order from a US reseller?
Check out the Benelli TNT 135. Its another Grom competitor. Its way sexier however like the Z125 not as much aftermarket
Just bought a tnt 135, $1000 less otd than the Grom and better looking imo
@@AaronHawkCongratulations man you must be happy AF! I ride also but rite now I own a BMS cheslsea scooter it’s a replica old school Vespa and I have it raced out , I took off the chrome racks it came with and put a racing exhaust , makuni carburetor new variator set up , bar end mirrors and other goodie’s for the engine which is mint👌and I enjoy TF out of it but that LIFAN KP MINI 150cc is my next purchase and my plans are to make all modifications for it to be my everyday vehicle and have no intentions on selling it ever just keep it in great condition and always ready to roll on my next small bore motorcycle ride with a couple hundred mini heads! Sorry for typing a novel but mini motorcycles are my passion I can converse all day about the mini bike life. CHEERS FROM EAST LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, RIDE HARD N RIDE SAFE MINI HEADS!🛵🏍️🍻🎱💣💯👌🙋🏻♂️👌
z125 pro has lots of aftermarket parts
Yes. Grom aftermarket is huge compared to the Kawi. Both good little fun bikes. You cannot go wrong with a Honda. The aftermarket is usually best with Honda. If you want a dual sport. Just skip the tiny bikes and get a DRZ400. The aftermarket for that is huge too.
my 23 grom gets around 120 to the gallon bone stock without me on it lol I ride in central oklahoma
Awesome
I dont know about the other bikes but you didnt even cover the difference in the Grom and Monkey. Its more money because it has longer travel suspension. You can only ride 1 up on the Monkey vs the Grom has passenger pegs. The display on the Grom has a tachometer the Monkey does not. The tires on the Monkey are a taller profile, it would be better suited for light off road.
Get the cam, intake, yoshi, ecu & front sprocket. Totally diff bike. U wont regret it.
Yes you will.
great video though i still would love to own o real grom though
✨“They have cute street presence”✨
Which one can you buy without having to pay for a Motorcycle License?
depends on local/state regulations but you have to get a 49cc scooter which will work for posted speed limits of 35 to 40mph. Honda Metropolitan or Ruckus
I live in Lakeland Florida. Thanks.
I just want to know how many GoPros I will need… 😬
lust got a rps condor evben though its a china bike bit blows the grom away in alot of ways i can easily put most parts from honda straight onto my bike including rhe abns brake sustem efi only gives better gas mialge the condore out of the box gets to 65 mph the grom 55 plus the cfraftsmanship and quality has greatly improved as well as reliability
What with the dealerships adding on all these financial abuse fees?
So the conclusion to the title is; the Grom is indeed still the best miniMoto for 2024.
The Z was a nicer bike, better looking and way better suspension than the first two generations of the Grom. The new Grom has outclassed it tho.
any info about NEW $12k Pickup from toyota?
The one only sold in Indonesia?
3:37 bikes and scooters are the cheat code.
I have a talaria xxx and thinking of getting a grom. It's definitely the after market that matters for me.
I got the 2023 Grom last year for my first motorcycle. I’m looking to trade it in for a bigger bike
Grom is tough as only bike unless you're in a compact city or use it as a beach cruiser. It's best as a companion bike to a bigger-engine motorcycle.
You don’t have to do the math if your average fuel mileage. You have a button for that on your display 😂 and you can reset it all you like.
Too bad Kawasaki doesnt make a KSR 110 in the States and add a 125 engine to it. I think that bike would really be a cool alternative to a Grom because it would be a true mini supermoto.
Kawaskai z125 pro is close enough
NOPE YOU forgot to mention the best mini on the market Lifan kp mini 150cc cost 1749 killing these bikes you mention
It’s a china bike not on anybody’s radar they’re unreliable and don’t hold value
The navi isn't as good on fuel as the Groms anyway.. because of the carbs..
It's a good motorcycle, careful next time
What I've seen from youtube reviewers on the Honda Navi the gas mileage is only around 70 mpg, much less than what Honda claims
That's wild! Still impressive but not the Groms 100 mpg
👍👍👍
Na Honda is king.
I'm thinking the CFMOTO Papio is the best mini moto right now.
Not in the market with the Grom and Monkeys where they got great reputation and long history, I would say that is a bargain not the best, and also need time to tell if is reliable or not.
@@kencai6803 Look into CFMOTO quality. They just built a huge plan in the USA. They are serious about making quality machines with great warranties. CFMOTO also makes A LOT of parts for other manufacturers. They own part of KTM and Yamaha too.
@@ROBSOLUTELY Well basically CFMOTO is a bargain version of KTM, I won't doubt they make good parts but you just can't beat Japanese competitors in terms of overall reliability and quality
@@kencai6803 I got ride of my KTM for my CFMOTO. I truly love the CFMOTO.
Chinese pile of junk.
sorry i was typing in the dark poor spelling
my boom vader bd-115 model 2022 model is even faster than this bike
Swfl that’s where I live
Unfortunately that is an incredible deal on dealer fees believe it or not usually you're looking at 1600
I been checking out the Lifan KP MINI 150CC ever since I rode it I decided to go for the KP MINI reasons are its faster , bigger engine , 5 gear fuel injected, built sturdy n dependable and the best thing about the KP MINI it’s half the price of the Honda GROM . It’s a no brainer for me as soon as I’m able to buy it which is I hope within the 60 days from today, I can’t wait to get it I have a replica Vespa scooter all hooked up with the engine mint👌but I want that KP for a backup just in case . CHEERS FROM EAST LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, RIDE HARD N RIDE SAFE MINI HEADS.✌️🙋🏻♂️👌🏍️🛵🍻🎱💣💯💯👌🙋🏻♂️👍💯💯
I'll look into it!
You’ll enjoy it. I have the first gen model with the carb. It’s my main commuter and I’ve only had to buy a new battery and tighten the chain. I usually only go 45-53 mph I live in a city and my commutes are short. It will go 60 but you’re really ringing it out stock. It’s a little scary getting on I-10 for a few exits.
The price is a huge factor. I’d still like to have another one tho. I want the CF Moto Papio SS as my next one .
@@drewzuz765 yup me too bro I just seen the papio ss and I also wouldn’t mind one either I like the clip on bars and the front farein look , I got clipons for the kp mini ready to install as soon as I get it , it gives it a clean look and it feels much more comfortable for me being 6ft. CHEERS FROM EAST LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA, RIDE HARD N RIDE SAFE MINI HEADS
The cheap man pays twice.
@@LTLT900 for some things I agree with you. If you look it up it’s a legit company tho. I’ve had mine for 2 years. I use it as my main commute to and from work.
