I can put my eyeshadows on without the tug or moving my eyelids. At 74 my hooded eyes have become quite tricky to apply makeup. Thank you for the hacks and your natural hair brushes. ❤

I have a question. I remember you talking about having darkness at the outside corner of your eyes, and I have the same with downturned eyes. It always makes my shadow look muddy at the end of my eye? What is the best remedy for this problem? HELP!

I have been using this method just recently. And now I pull my eye brow up , instead of pulling the eye sideways.. This has helped me so much. I had thought my eye shadow days were over. But not anymore. You are so helpful Wayne. Thank you .❤

Thank you for the lovely advice!! I’m 28 but I have hooded eyes with fairly loose skin. Applying eyeshadow can be a nightmare 🥲 I will try a flat brush next time!

Perfect. It's the only way that I can apply shadow on my hooded eyes with loose skin.
That is a great tip to use a flat brush because at my age there is loose skin. Thank you Wayne, I need to find one now. 😊

I love this thank you. I just have old eyes, they are cat eyes but don’t use that feature as I suck at eye liner lol. Hope things are going well. Take some time for just a walk and breathe. Your brush collection is beautiful. Take care and stay safe.
Can you give an example of a flat brush

Personally, I like to do essentially this, but without placing it on the movable part of the lid. So it's like a somewhat squished triangle, with the long end toward the nose. I learned it from David Bowie. Then, I usually put a subtle, lighter colour (matte beiges and pinks usually) on the moveable part. Basically just shading.
It was easy to learn shading by watching David Bowie, growing up, because he and his makeup artists usually did really striking shading (like in the Blue Jean video), so you could really get a sense of how it appeared to change the shape of the face. I just tried it more subtle and blended in, and tried slightly different angles and whatnot.
Not sure if anyone cares, but I guess your video got me nostalgic for how I first learned. Of course, I learned a bunch from you later. Funny, I never really thought about how I mostly learned makeup from men. Makeup is for everybody. 💄🕺

Wayne, I haven’t been able to wear any mascara (of any kind) on my bottom lashes for the past 3 years. It’s just ends up on my skin at some point.
I have sooooooo many smudge proof, waterproof, you name it in mascara & eyeliner as well, nothing stays on my bottom lashes. I’ve wondered if it’s because I moved to a different state and have terrible allergies now.
Any suggestions?
