- Does our French Face Concealer Concentrate work with this Old Hollywood Pro Tip from New Hollywood Pro MUA (did JLo's makeup for years - maybe still does) Scott Barnes? 🤞 Thank you to @maturemakeupmasterclass for telling me the history of this tip and Marilyn Monroe glam.⭐️ I used:
✔️ Vaseline
✔️ French Face Concealer Concentrate (maxinesrevenge...)
→ Light Medium Beige
→ Fair Peach
→ Deep Chestnut and probably Deep Coffee knowing me...😉
✔️ Givenchy Prism Libre Setting Powder
✔️ Krystelle Lee's Makeup Brushes HIGHLY RECOMMEND (krystelleleeco...)
✔️ Build A Brow (Referred by the one and only Cherie Seaswan / seaswanbeautyover50 )
✔️ MAC Stack Mascara
✔️ Jenny Patinkin eyelash curler (jennypatinkin....)
No vaseline, I only used Aquaphor.
Ok got it! I didn’t have any.. 😬
I have been known to use the beaudreaux’s sensitive skin butt paste as a primer. Normally I use my tallow balm. Works amazing. 😮
You look a lot like Christy Turlington
I was thinking Jessica Beal - I can see Christy Turlington, as well!
EXACTLY! XXXXXXX FROM AMSTERDAM ❤
@@karendianeChrisicca Bealington 😂
Aw thank you so much!! ✨
Yes! This just popped up in my feed and I totally thought it was Christy Turlington!
UA-cam dermatologists said products with petrolatum will disrupt your sunscreen barrier. Please don’t use it unless it’s nighttime.
Oh wow! Ok thank you!
@@Maxinesrevenge You’re welcome! There are tons of good primers available, even some with SPF. He only wants to make makeup look good- that’s his job. I wanna take care of my skin, too, though! 🤓
I don’t know about “YT” dermatologists 🤔
@@evarene07 They’re practicing dermatologists who also have UA-cam channels.
U look like an oil slick at end 😂
So glad you tested this! Would prefer not to use that occlusive primer, so I’m thrilled to see French Face perform so well without. Not surprised! Such a beautiful formula. Kudos again!❤
I'm so glad you think so! ✨
Thank you Michele! :)
Beautiful lady, thank you sm!❤
@@dorothypeck1372 my pleasure!
So exited to see your take on this. TY 🌷
You are so welcome! 😊
He used Aquaphor NOT Vaseline. Both very different!!
I've used vaseline for years as a night routine , & under make up, . I sometimes swith it up yo using a thin layer of aquafor under make up, and it does work!! However if you have acne, this method is not recommended .
Thanks for sharing!!
I think Scott Barnes uses the Aquaphor lip repair balm which is alot different than Vaseline because there is no petrolatum in the Aquaphor. There is petrolatum in the Aquaphor ointment but he didn't use that one❤
Hmm I think it does have petrolatum in there too no? But maybe they list it as petroleum jelly?
@@Maxinesrevenge no I checked again. The lip repair stick doesn't have any petrolatum or petroleum jelly. I think that's why he uses that on the face and the Aquaphor ointment on the neck. The petrolatum is just too thick and moves too much
Castor oil and beeswax.
Good to know!
The underlying bags are more prominent on the vasoline application. Your skin looks really good. I wouldnt do it plus petroleum jelly on the delicate eye skin. I don't know.
Grateful for your opinion, thank you!✨
Thank you for doing this experiment! I’ve been considering doing this-having 67 year-old skin- ever since Scott released his method (actually not new according to our friend Michelle). I truly applaud you for offering a line that doesn’t require Aquafor or Vaseline to stay silky-smooth for hours! I also appreciate your candor about a touch-up… how refreshing! I always whose make-up (over 40) doesn’t need a bit of attention after 8 hours? Oh right, someone whose under 40! I try not to powder except in the t-zone (especially under the eyes), and French Face enables me to to still have hydrated skin and coverage ALL DAY LONG. I’d rather re-touch (around the nose under the eyes, or on my chin) a bit after 8 hours than see dry or over-powdered skin. Thank you for all you do!
This would block all my pores but looks good on you.
lol thank you😂
Humbug, me too! If I put that stuff on my skin, my face would be one huge zit! Besides, petroleum jelly is made of the same stuff motor oil and gasoline comes from. No thank you! Besides all that , my hair would be hanging in greasy strings everywhere it touched my face!
He doesn't use vaseline.
You should maybe change the title. It's just clickbait to get views.
Try cereve
Albolene works even better…!!!!
I'll have to check that out!
@@Maxinesrevenge Less is more…
A thin film and let it soak in for a few minutes, then blot gently with paper towel and that leaves just enough on your face.
I wouldn't use vaseline anywhere on my body.....it is petroleum based, and not good at all.
My thought too. Beside being bad for us, it can and does cause acne on me.
