- Not sure what happened. I flip on AS3X and I lose it. After the crash I noticed my gain knob was turned all the way up. Once I see it acting up, I flip off AS3X really quick. Also, it was just far enough away that I could not visually get orientation. This plane is really hard to see.
Hey man. After losing my brand new F35 because of gyro gains, I feel your pain. AS3X/Gyro, all the same. You have to run a gyro checklist before every flight. I had the AI create a checklist for me. I know it won't get your F16 back, but please take my advice and run a separate checklist for the Gyro directly, and double check the modes you intend to use. That looked like you went into heading hold or something similar.
I have a brand new F35 not flown yet, and I've already triple checked the Gyro. I just picked up a used 80mm Rafale and you bet your ass I've been checking this gyro for a week. One month in this hobby and I'm learning as much a possible everyday.
Crashes are apart of the hobby. But man that sabre looked sick. Thats a mean ass paint job
i use all my plane with spekttum receiver like 631 or 637 and no problem but you need to make sure before you fly you check everything 2 times you make sure you have no problem
Sorry for your loss. Yeah, it is hard to see in the sky. Last week a guy at my field has a black 64mm F16, red tail, red wing tips, and it is very visible
Tim I have crashed many birds and if we aren't crashing we aren't flying and it happens. The one thing is I do enjoy repairing the birds bc most of mine fly better after a crash.
Thats why I have always AS3X configured with fixed values and NEVER gain on a knob with potentially wrong value which cause AS3X over reacting and let the plane oscillating.
man, that really sucks especially right after you redid it, i bet you can rebuild it though
Yeah I tested the motor and receiver ....all good so I'm going to ARF it. Just sucks all the work I put into reshaping the nose and repainting the plane
Damn brother sorry for the loss that sucks!!!!!
im gonna do the ARF
😢sorry for your loss Tim. The bright side is the newer version is nice with full stabs and bigger motor. Relatively inexpensive too. I’m assuming no gyro because I don’t see any verification of a gyro function.
Can confirm the v3 does not come with a gyro. I just got one in Arctic Camo and I put in an Aura 8.
@@FlyRCX not familiar with the aura series. But, assumed you didn’t have one installed because no preflight checks were shown. I recently committed all my new planes to frsky and their receivers and tx. It’s a new language but so much more logical way better signal quality and cost effective for someone who likes to build and fly new planes with over ten channels all the time. Whatever you go with I’m sure you’ve develop a fantastic preflight since the video. I can’t wait to maiden the same one so I can throw my TV set on it! Thanks for posting happy flying
Sorry for your crash. Seem like the as3x was backwards. Soon as you fip on as3x it saterted piching. Just a thought. Great fliying though
Thanks. I think you got a good point there. I should have done a data rest, and started from scratch when I put the receiver in this plane. Live and learn
So sad...
I just had my walk of shame with my 64m a10. Was pretty pissed
Damn that sucks bro
@@timomalley4282 yeah really made me re think this hobby
It’s just part of the hobby. Fly then the other half is in learning repairs and paint. Eventually you don’t crash anymore unless there’s an electrical issue. I lost my MIG 29 that almost made me hange it up , but I have so much invested in other planes already. You just have to drive on. 😃
Sorry Tim why did it do that when you turned on the gyro, maybe it was reversed
Never found out why. I reset the receiver and put it in a 64mm f16, and no problems. It will remain a mystery.
