  • A little overview of this jet. 6S with great flight times and a really good thrust ratio. good investment for your hanger for the price. Does anyone know of a trailing link strut without springs that would work on this plane ....maybe?

      Thanks I’m upgrading the landing gear to the Yak 70’s gear also. No more springs. 🎉

    You must land really hard, I have done hard landings and no issues with gear

      yeah, I've had a couple where I landed to far away and I thought the ground was closer than what it really was. Or a good bounce will stretch those spings also. Done that to lol.

    Can I please ask for the link of the afterburner you installed. Really nice flight. Sounds great too. Thank you in advance.

      The burner I put in is the one for the 64mm f-16. Fits good with no modifications

    New to the hobby can i get this as a first plane. Also do i have to get a Spectrum transmitter or is there a better more budget friendly option?

    • @timomalley4282

      I would not recommend this for your first plane only because the speed would be a lot to handle. It's clocked at 126 mph coming out of a dive, but as a first jet I would say yes. It tracks very well and is very predictable. For your first plane look into a up wing plane like the Timber or a Cub. These types of planes will help you to understand how to stay ahead of the plane and make learning to land much more enjoyable. As far as transmitter all Ive ever used was Spektrum. On receivers there are other brands like lemon that are DSMX DSMX2 compatible and less expensive, but do not come with safe. As a beginner safe will be your best friend. A AR630 by Spektrum will have safe and AS3X and cost 80$ and is a very common receiver to be used in a lot of other planes. Hope this helps.

    I am just learning to fly EDF. Which would be better between viper 70 or this one?

      This plane is more forgiving than the viper

    Does anyone actually fly from club fields in the USA? Many youtubers seem to flu out of car parks, sport fields or roads and I wonder what their insurance cover is like

    • @Brestae
      @Brestae 2 місяці тому

      Well... there are about 2,500 AMA clubs in the USA and nearly every one has a field, and maybe 50 - 200 members each? Many "UA-camrs" tend to be younger, and young people tend to have a harder time scraping up the $80+ for an annual AMA membership (that gets you the insurance) and another $50 - $100 annually for the local club. I'll go out on a limb and say that almost nobody outside the clubs buys their own liability insurance. You'd have to shop for a quote to find out what they'd charge for insurance. I stick to AMA membership... if insurance companies get a whiff that you are shopping, they will drown you in junk mail and advertising.
