Unfortunately, the maiden was harder than expected. Tons of trim. The second flight was much better. Questions? You can contact us at all.rc.air@gmail.com
Wow... Hate when the maiden turns into a goat rodeo... Great job at getting her down without breaking her. She looks like a fun little 70mm.. Thanks for sharing.. - Will
After a few flights, I ended up with the battery way back. About an inch or so from where I originally had it. Now it's one of my favorite planes. It will high alpha without much effort. Loving it!
It is the best flying plane out there. In my opinion, I have 4. 2 are E flites, but they are fairly close to the same plane. The freewing F-16 70 V3 has full elevator stabs. They are close to the same speed as well. 100ish
Yes I have the F-16 also by freewing.. I have about 35 flights on it and the CG is very important I pretty much have my battery all the way back.. and it flies perfect every time... Does f-16s do not like to be nose heavy.. and if you are you're going to be flying with a lot of up and it is no fun... But other than that your flight turned out okay..
That was maiden. Have a ton of flights on that plane and later the v3 version. CG was at factory recommended which was ridiculously way too forward. With CG back it flies awesome. I destroyed that plane practicing and learning high alpha. But that was after like 8 crashes... It takes a crash well!
That was maiden and after i got it tuned, it is much better. Agreed, one of the best edfs out there. I'm just puzzled at their recommended cg. It's much too forward. After i got the cg and rates figured out, it's a sweetheart.
I started with everything neutral. Aileron trim wasn't great but within reason. The elevator trim surprised me. When I taxied it back, one of the guys that had one did say that they did have to trim a lot of up elevator as well. Yeah, I should have done the inverted check but I had my hands full on that first flight and it flew so well on the second, I just wanted to fly it! Next flight, I'll go through everything.
@@all_rc Yep, I don’t do the inverted CG check on the maiden and might not get to it until the 3rd flight. On the maiden, I start working on the landing as soon as I get it trimmed out a little. I like to have enough battery left to make a few go-arounds, if needed.
I started it back farther. I found that recommended cg is to nose heavy on V2 so I went back 1/2 an inch from recommended cg for V3. But it should fly ok with recommended.
It's just a timer based on throttle. Tells me when to land. But I also have a battery voltage sensor set to warn when voltage gets low. So even though the timer went off, I knew I was still ok since the voltage warning didn't trigger. It was first flights, I'll adjust the timer after a few more flights.
You don't know the half of it... There are huge cracks that swallow up nose gears. I flew my F-14 the other day and I hit the throttle too hard and it veered left... Right where I didn't want it to be... Hit a crack, the fuse bent so much the canopy popped off. It landed between the twin tails. I tried to throttle down to abort but I hit another crack. The plane jumped into the air. I throttled up and got it into the air. Did a lap and brought it in. Canopy was still stuck between the tails! Landed it... Hit another crack and the canopy finally flew off! And we weren't filming ......
@@all_rc hey this is Kevin I read your comment about your f-14 that's really terrible to hear that it did that damage to your aircraft I know it's heartbreaking when you go to fly and something like that app is it kind of ruins your day... But don't let it discourage you just take it home and take your time and do the repair work and remember not to fly into that direction or find another place to fly.... I fly with a sharks RC radio control club and they just put down a brand new runway it's about 800 ft long and it's about a good. About 30 ft wide.... Will you hold a lot of jet rallies and we got a lot of people that fly and we all pitch in money to help get the runway always in good shape.... Did the people here in Louisiana were kind of fickle people we like the wrong way to be let's just say perfect... There's nothing worse than have a 1,200 jet and you hit a pothole and it breaks the landing gear off... But other than that it's a great place to fly and we really enjoy it.... I just hope you get your f-14 back flying I like to see some videos of it it's one of my favorite planes I like the way the wings retract and it looks so cool..oh man I pray that everything goes for you good and I know it will let me know when you get her going okay... You got my Gmail if you need any helpful hints just let me know I'm really good at modifying and making things a lot better... Tonight I'm going to do a demo on the threshold on my F-18 Blue Angel hornet.. I got it set up where I got a. A measuring scale a used for a kitchen it's electronic and I designed it where the front of the plane pushes up against it.. and it's still simulates like it's pulling it pulls close to 14 lb... Okay I'll talk to you later you be good and God bless you and I hope everything goes good for you if you need help I'm here and remember a good day of flying is when you don't crash LOL...
I think you misread! The canopy popped off but got lodged in the tail fins! It stayed there until it landed then it fell off the plane when I got another crack! It was a weird set of events that caused no damage to the plane or even the canopy. I got lucky! Your runway sounds terrific. I'd love to visit if I am ever in that part of the country.
Oh I had to finish writing that I accidentally hit the wrong button on my phone.. yeah the airplane is only going to do as good as the runway sorry to hear that your runway is not the best that really sucks cuz you got a real beautiful aircraft that f-14 is the only one I don't have and I want to get one... Is yours made by freewing.???

Gorgeous landings!
Nice hi alpha, landing. The plane is made for it.
I like the communication between pilots that is lacking at a lot of Flying fields

Beautiful plane! Enjoyed the video! :)
Thanks a lot!
You plop your plane around just like I do. I'm so hard on my models.
I also move my battery's all the way back where it's almost tail heavy.
I thought your taxi way was your runway .....boy that's narrow. 😂😂😂😂

Also, when you pull the landing gear, the front will become slightly lighter.

Why was it so far out of trim on the maiden? Nose heavy is when it heads for the ground during inverted flight. 😊

Hi. Gravity center is ok? 90mm is good?

What does the countdown mean?

How you're well. Long pause
All good... weather hasn't been great for reviews
@@all_rc ah gotcha, I enjoy just watching you fly for the fun of it 😂 keep em' Flyin'
The runway y'all are using isn't very bad shape.. it is a lot of repair work it looks like the Air Force used it for target practice lol
