I’d never send my kids there based on how the administration could not wait until a case was settled in a court of law. Those college kids deserved to have the crime scene preserved.

My son was murdered. The three years I spent while the trial was ongoing was horrific. I talked to the attorneys several times a week, sometimes daily. So, every morning I’d get a phone call and I would relive it over and over and over again. Never moving towards healing. I know it’s the price of a justice system that is fair and I accept that, but unless you’ve experienced it yourself, you simply can’t imagine it. So, the survivors are not always at their most emotional best. I was prescribed Remeron. But until it’s over, they’re in limbo.

I'm sorry about your son. My brother in law was murdered also and yes, there is so much communication and even information held back too all along the way. The motions, delays, things about the case and protection of the defendant (in our case killer because that part was never in doubt, only motive) and so on.
We had 2 mistrial and then between covid and change in prosecutors due to elections gone by more delays that led to the killer being let off forever due to not getting a speedy trial. And that sqashed the civil trials too. Gut wrenching!

What amazes me is the fact that she fought and there were still no DNA samples from the killer. He must have been covered head to toe with some type of protective covering so there was no DNA transfer. I still don't understand what the rush was to tear down the house. Seems the University was more concerned about publicity or reputation than solving this crime. Doesn't say anything good to me about the school.
He would only need to be wearing long sleeves and gloves. The small amount of DNA on the sheath makes me think it got there on a previous occasion and not handling it that night.

The house got,torn down because the university must of received indication that the trial could be next year and decided they couldn’t take it anymore and go through another year of the stark reminder
According to reporting the University was paying more than a quarter of a million dollars per year, just to have 24-hour security for that vacant house... just in case it could be useful (in its altered state) some unknown number of years in the future. Meanwhile, its presence mars the peace of that section of the community.
@u.synlig this is not the only house something like this has occurred. They could have had cameras placed in and all thought the house, boarded all windows and doors. They didn't need 24 hour security. This house should have been preserved until after the trial, there is no better way for a jury to see what these kids went though than veiwing this house.
I was a victim of a violent crime. It felt like the State wasn't fighting for me and when I went to court I found out all kinds of stuff that they never said anything to me about.
What I am saying, be patient, there's all kinds of evidence that they may have that we know nothing about.

His defense attorney is an attorney now for the man that executed his 3 little boys. I thought to myself she replied there was no way she could be ready for Kohbergers trial , yet she is working for that man that killed his boys. Just my opinion. She used a curse word. But I do not curse. Praise God I was a victim of spousal abuse over 40 yrs. ago. Mmy2 children and I were being shot at from the window and me and my daughter hid next door because he had a bow and arrows.. I had the best Attorney in the world. He charged me nothing. I was so thankful for him. God was with me and my babies! God is real. I worked so hard. Today my Daughter is a successful as a Interior Designer for a World Global Company. I am so proud of her . Unfortunately,, my son almost died being in a coma for 5 days. Praise God he is alive. God is so good all the time! ❤️❤️

I am so sad for the families. But as painful as waiting is, I would rather wait with a better chance of any guilty verdict sticks if that is what is proven. I 100% would not want to be in the families shoes though. Time is such a burden on them and I wish them only peace.
it would be easier to prove and take much less time to prove the cops did it, they left the evidence on their newly released redacted videos and now WE ALL KNOW. What most don't know is that it goes far beyond the cops who are merely 'puppets'...
Victims and their families need more rights. Can we have laws that protect the families? Could any of us bear what they are going through?

@@terripetre8159 Victims and their families are completely unrelated to the finding of fact in a criminal trial, unless they are witnesses. The rights of the accused are paramount.
@@terripetre8159What else can be done? You can’t force the defendant to go to trial and then if convicted win an appeal because their lawyer wasn’t given enough time to be ready.
I feel for the families. It seems to me that they could be treated better by law enforcement.

Someone may not be able to scream during an extremely terrifying situation because their senses are overwhelmed completely. The brain is triggering fight/flight/survive mode. Because of this sensory overload they are unable to respond verbally. They can become partially paralyzed because of the traumatic situation. Totally in shock. I’ve been in this state before for far less than what happened here.
All of them didn’t scream? Someone heard something.
When I was 20 years old, I lived with my grandparents who lived out in the country. I was woken in the middle of the night to someone trying to get into my bedroom window. I woke to hearing it and froze. I couldn’t move but I wanted to, I couldn’t scream for what seemed like forever. Then suddenly I could move crawled on the ground as fast as I could to my grandparents room. My Pappy got his shotgun and went outside to look and my window screen was cut but we found no one. I will never forget that!

There are too many people that flap their gums talking about " if that was me" well one, it's not you and two you literally have not a clue what you're body will do in this type of scenario. I've always been the loudest mouth, out spoken, offensive person in my family and friend group and twice I've been in position of complete fear and confusion and both those times I went limp and not a noise left my mouth. I've been in other aggressive situations and went crazy, throwing shit and shouting ect. But those two times where I was really confused about what was going on and totally overpowered, I learned something new about myself and other people that I wish wasn't true. I'm sure you worry about that as well since you know the truth. These ignorant people with the " if that was me" attitude better feel lucky they never had to find out for themselves

And there are entire UA-cam channels devoted to blaming them, saying that the parents are the killer.
Imagine if they had not been able to catch the creep as fast as they did. Many families are still waiting for murderers to be caught.

This made sense to me. The bedroom I had in our last house was about 8' by 8'. With a queen bed, a TV stand, and a small bookshelf, there was no room to walk. I had about a 1' path between the bed and the dresser.
No way could I have gotten out of my room if someone was in my doorway. Simply impossible.
I can’t see how those families are standing! The horror and then the house being destroyed, and the time waiting! My heart goes out to them and all the friends of these kids! I don’t understand this world anymore!❤

That house would be a magnet for all sort of people to break into it and record or looky loo. No way they could have kept it as evidence as it was that night.
This is so horrific!! I lost my daughter and we were all standing outside in the freezing sleet and snow for hours because the police wouldn't let us in. My heart breaks for her family and friends. Sending all my love and prayers for all who knew and loved her. 🙏✝️❤️

My brother in law is an attorney in Boise. He didn’t break privilege bc the Gonclaves family didn’t end up hiring his firm. but his firm was approached by Steve mid December looking to hire them to help halt the house demolition. Ironically the university said it consulted the victim’s families in their demo decision. The family is feeling very powerless in this process. My heart goes out to them, I wish the university if not the prosecution was helping them feel listened to more.
IMO, the university is running this investigation. Pure speculation on my part but I have strong feelings about this.

@@BrandyH-eh9up I do, that place was a target for thrill seekers and UA-camrs to break into to document and exploit. No way to keep it as evidence as found the day of the murder.
If the families believe he's the guy, hopefully they can take some comfort in the fact he's in custody at least. Sometimes looking on the bright side is the best we can do.

@@aairsick my dad was killed in an accident and they kept his truck for years or what was left of it where 3 people were killed even after the trial of the other driver involved that lived. I don’t know if there was a smoking gun of some sort that may have been overlooked in the house. What if the currently accused is found not guilty? No way now to get fresh eyes on anything. Did the defense get to look or any of their experts? So just wrap it up, we’ve got our guy, nothing to see here?! It’s gone so you already won a non argument. I find it strange. People are the ones that go over and over it and people make mistakes.

The house would have had to have security still being paid to watch it. Even then someone could break in just to take pics to sell online. The cost to keep a car that would be going to a wrecking yard is far less than a house that would attract morbid curiosity seekers.

In march it will be 6 years and still waiting to get justice for the death if my daughter. Do the authorities not know how they are abusing us or do they just not care.

Most days I’m happy to live in this great country but I realize my some of my countrymen have paid a huge price to live here because in other countries there isn’t half as much murder some countries not even a quarter of the murder there is here. ILike has no one ever watched a capital murder charge? I was watching the court live and people were losing their mind over it not being scheduled for this summer; saying things like "if the state is ready, no reason for his lawyers not to be ready." No matter how many court cases people follow, at the end of the day you can't fix stupid.
Especially when prosecution is refusing to hand over crucial discovery and making up excuses that they haven't gone through it all yet, or they haven't obtained this or that from agencies (i.e. FBI) yet.

Some people have never followed any cases before. This is the first, and only case they follow.

Time is an enemy with memories and details. Its sad witnesses have to keep this going over in their minds for years until the trial.

they are covering for the real killers. Destroying evidence. Brian didn’t do this. Doesn’t take a genius to realize this.
The owner of the house chose to quickly donate the house to the university of Idaho after the tragedies happened - not the surviving roommates, not even the families or relatives of the victims, no time no thought or considerations to memorialize the lives lost there just handed it right up to the university so that they could eagerly tear it down and build more university apartments to house all the new alumni they’ve gained off all the the attention from this case. It’s no surprise Moscow pd is being so secretive about evidence or updates it’s so they can all gain as much as possible from such a truly tragic event instead of actually healing or providing safety and protection to all the lives of everyone it’s affected.

I wish someone would ask them how they feel about the prosecution refusing to release the full discovery to the defense, which is actually the thing causing the delay... The whole thing would go a lot faster if defense was able to have all of the info and do their job
They won't release until the Defence commits to a trial date. If the Defence has the full evidence years before trial they have plenty of time to come up with a story to try to explain it away.

While we are at it, let's ask why the prosecution filed a motion specifically to compel BK for an alibi, just after it had stated in open court that it was seeking the death penalty.
Prosecution: "Yeah, we have you right where we want you, BK. Our case is overwhelmingly solid...so much so...we are seeking the death penalty. By the way, do you have an alibi for the time frame of the murders?"

Exactly right. The prosecution is causing the delays by refusing to turn over evidence that, in almost every other criminal case in the U.S. , they would have had to turn over by now. I still feel that drugs and drug distribution/sales could be at play here and possibly one or more of the people in the house could have been an informant. It is not enough to have a white car in the area. The prosecution is going to have to put BK behind the wheel.
In 2014, 5 Calgary university students were stabbed and killed at a house party. The perp was a mentally ill, 22 year old man. He took a kitchen knife, and stabbed 4 men and 1 woman multiple times, and killed them. No one was asleep, and 30 people were at the party. It just shows that it’s possible to stab and kill multiple people - even if they aren’t asleep, and with just a kitchen knife. While the motive is different, 4 men were stabbed to death, and 1 woman.
Was he caught /seen/heard or he just walked out without leaving a trace?
There's a HUGE difference between a house full of people of party people, or even a dwindling party vs. A home with students sleeping or in the quiet of their own homes alleged to be asleep or something of the sort. 👀

There had to have been more than one perp - how do you keep a young dog, basically a pup from not barking loudly while you’re trying to pass someone?! If Kaylee fought there would be screams and loud sounds. Right there it’s sus. This whole case makes no sense.
Take the dog outside. Barking was heard btw between 2am and 220am.

I believe that the dog was still a puppy and was supposedly being kenneled at night. She was probably still potty training the puppy.
It’s not hard, they are accusing someone of a “Quadruple “ murder , and death penalty case…So they want to get this right since the house has been torn down, the 10 hours of silence , concrete of evidence in question , hundreds of witness testimony ..so much in question, so much they need to get it right..the actions of police dept, so on .

As for the victims families it is only 1 out of 4 families, or 25% who have purposefully stayed on the news circuit and complaining the wheels of Justice is moving to slow for their liking.

Since the very beginning, this one family has been in front of the cameras interviewing. Nothing they say is helpful to securing a conviction.
I don’t think this one family is helping at all being on the news. I think it is just the Mom’s personality driving the appearances.

If they are so worried about moving things along, why don't the authorities say how they came to Brian? There's something shady going on with the department and it's wrong to report as if Brian is 100% guilty when the evidence they have shared is super vague and circumstantial.
They did say. The defence wants to play dumb.

Law enforcement provided a detailed description of how they were lead to Brian. What more do you want?

I totally understand. The shooter who took 10 lives at Santa Fe HS back in '18 still hasn't gone to trial and there's no doubt about who did it.
There are so many questions and the DA isn't releasing anything.

Where the heck did the news anchor get that there was a "pitched battle" at the hearing? It was as far from a pitched battle as you can get. In short:
Judge: "When do you want to start the trial?"
Prosecution: "This Summer"
Defense: "Sorry judge, we have far too much data to go through and witnesses to interview. A lot of that information still hasn't been given to us despite multiple motions for discovery. That's not the defenses fault, in fact they have been very helpful, it's the various authorities who have that data. So we won't be able to start until at least summer 2025."
Defense: "She's right, they do have a lot of data to get through and it is going to take them that long."
Judge: "OK I won't set an actual date yet. I'd like to get it started as soon as we can, so I'll see if I can help speed up some of the data gathering issues. Everyone ok with that?"
Prosecution: "Yes"
Defense: "Yes"
Ashley Banfield quoted the defense lawyer as saying: "there is no way in hell I will be ready." I never heard her say that, Ashley is trying to whip up drama (for ratings).

The surviving family & friends need continued emotional support from professionals during these traumatic times. I hope they are on a healing path and finding a place inside themselves to love & live life again. Waiting or suspending our lives for years until an unknown event occurs (trial & its results) is beyond sad. It takes a lot of inner work to find a new reality that accepts what happened and choose to move through the trauma, find a place for it and actually LIVE life. I think their kids would want their parents & friends to LIVE and LOVE fully without survivors guilt, shame, hate or fear.

What worries me most about getting a conviction for these murders is the terrible law enforcement investigation procedures followed by tearing down the victims' home (a treasure trove of potential evidence).
It was to hide further evidence.

Thx for continuing to stay in this case. Based upon AT stmts to judge judge in recent hearing I don’t see this case going to trial at all till summer 2026 & even then AT wants a venue change - soo maybe summer 2027 . Can BCK stay in the Moscow jail for years?

does the state want it done right? i don't see how the prosecution has all their ducks in a row within the chaos and volume of discovery.... from what we've seen, the state seems like they have a long way to go to get a conviction.... The prosecution was pushing for a 2024 summer trial because of perceived disruptions in parking and sporting events... vs. Anne Taylor's eloquent reasoning about why she wouldn't be prepared, to which the prosecution promptly acquiesced... the Judge should know better as well, it took him a month to rule on what IGG evidence was going to be turned over to the defense... I'm heartbroken for the parents that they have to rely on Moscow/Idaho LE and a court system who all seem completely clueless, in over their heads, and quite frankly outplayed by AT.
Ann Taylor seems like a firecracker. It makes me wonder if the prosecution is as good as she is? I haven’t been impressed so far. BK could walk, because the prosecution isn’t up to the job. Tearing down the house was a huge mistake.
The Moscow PD also made mistakes. The Moscow team was led by a policeman with 2 years on the job. He should have turned the crime scene over to the FBI, immediately. There were mistakes all over, from not taking the cars away immediately, so evidence didn’t deteriorate, to letting the cleaning crew in too early. It’s all going to impact the case. I don’t think it’s fishy, but I think the PD didn’t have the experience to do the job.
I thought it was interesting how they all talked about how they cared about the families feelings
But yet never called them to tell them their daughter was murdered for how long ?
And they have this week evidence against BK

@@user-wn3cs5tg9p agree, I think for whatever reason they thought they had their guy, and in the interest of what perhaps they thought was the greater good, did some sketchy police work to get an arrest warrant, assuming they were going to be able to build a case while he was in jail, and they are coming up flat.... just things like removing the students belongings out of the house (returning to the families) during an active investigation is crazy... that in itself creates reasonable doubt...
Of course the state has more than they want us to know!🤦♀️

@katehenderson8065 Hi 🙂 I find the same thing as you often. Especially with Crime related channels and other things I am interested in, it is very hard at time to keep up with things. Especially in a fresh way, due to the time difference. Being ahead in time is not often the "magical" gift and advantage alot of people from other countries (often Americans 😊) think it is haha. Often quite the opposite. I do wish it was though 😂 I am sure @mvlou93 may understand and feel the same also 😊

Well, there was a "computer software" business listed with an address of the crime scene house. Not that money was being laundered through that or anything.
I think I would want it torn down too, if I was the owner.
I feel for these families as well as the defendant and his family. This is a tragedy all around but there are too many suspect things in this case that commends us to get the right individual(s) in this crime and I believe in innocent until “proven” guilty. We owe this for these students!!!
It's a strong evidential case but it can come down to the Defendant wanting a plea offered also.
@@sarahwales6276 time and seeing this overwhelming evidence will be evident unfortunately they went to a grand jury and not a preliminary that was suspect to me on why if there is overwhelming evidence imo. Our system should no longer have a grand jury imo.😉
@@sarahwales6276 unless pings can place him at the house with him being seen on video and a connection to the victim(s) than it is not strong plus I am researching “touch” dna and it is so easily transferable that it would be scary to use without better science. The IGG is suspect too. We need a video with clear visual identity and so far prosecution has failed to produce that evidence that is why I think they went to a grand jury to indinct BK on a probable cause vs beyond a reasonable doubt imo. I do not like the grand jury option in our justice system for imo weak cases to arrest someone. Open your mind to really look at the touch dna debate scientifically as a nurse I follow the science and with better research things can change for the better understanding!!
They are so strong. It’s horrific the delay. It shouldn’t be allowed to drag on that long.

I don’t think JJJ is going to keep moving the court date over & over & over. I think he may extend it once from whatever date he soon decides upon in 2025 but then I think he’ll put his foot down & tell them no more. Thats just my opinion.
I feel for the victims families & it’s just heartbreaking. I think if the Prosecutor got permission to provide the Goncalves’ specific info regarding Kaylee, they would be less frustrated. They too only want justice for the 4 kids!

For having been accused and held in custody for something so horrible Kohberger comes across not as someone innocent and wrongfully accused but as someone guilty who believes he will be able to beat the system and get away with it.
Only good thing is he is still locked away! No reason it should take this attorney another year to figure it out. How much defense is there if they’re working on it every day what’s the problem unless they’ve had a ton of other cases! Ridiculous
The Judge saying he feels for the family's makes him look one sided and can come back on him big time.
What he said will only make him look one-sided to people who want to interpret what he said as making him look one-sided. To everybody else, those comments are only appropriate…nothing more and nothing less.
