Would have liked to see you actually attach the rad to the pipes as I will be simply replacing my normal rad with a towel rad. Great vid non the less 💝

Fair point that my friend and I agree entirely. Will remember next time. This was one of my earlier vids lol. ATB, Des

Worth adding that you should check the pressure on your boiler after completion and top-up if necessary. Fair play for giving it a go and yes you made the odd mistake, but others can learn from that. Best regards

Another great video! I'm thinking of replacing my old rusty radiator with a nice chrome one like that. My fear is that I'll pull the old one off, and something won't be right, the pipes coming out my bathroom floor are old copper things that look..... like they could need replaced too! Think I'll be letting a professional do that one! Lol

Hiya Bob. Hear what you're saying mate. You've got to be so careful that you don't knock them around too much and b*gger up the joints and create leaks. TBH it can be quite nerve racking especially knowing how far water can travel and the damage it can do. Take care mate, Des

You put the PTFE tape on the wrong way - you should wind it on clockwise.

Hi mate nice work. We're you able to get the radiator with the same spacing as your existing pipes so it was just a matter of placing on top or did you have to pipe that up from scratch??

Hello there. Unfortunately, there were no existing pipes there so I had to install them. The chrome finish on the copper tails was a nice touch but they've got to be properly prepared before fixing (i.e. they need to be sanded down first). Thanks for watching. Best wishes, Des

Hi there buddy. From memory, I did about 10 wraps of the ptfe and have not had any problems at all. I did give it a good tweak with the spanner though. Everything fine 2 years down the line (fingers crossed!). ATB, Des

As soon as he mentioned Victoria plumb I turned off, never watched the full vid but hope that wasn’t a customers house. Victoria plumb are renowned for some of the worst quality products going.

Hello mate. Interesting to hear about Victoria Plumb. Not being in the trade I wasn't aware that they had a bad reputation. The towel radiator has been in for 4-5 yrs now and still going strong thankfully. Thanks for dropping by. ATB, Des
